How to use Ariel 3 in 1 laundry capsules?

How to use Ariel 3-in-1 laundry capsulesAriel 3-in-1 capsules are a versatile and popular laundry detergent. Their innovative formula delivers all the essential functions – removing stubborn stains, preserving color, caring for fabrics, and leaving clothes soft and pleasantly scented. One small capsule contains three different components, ensuring impeccable cleaning. Let's explore how to use Ariel 3-in-1 capsules and what makes them so special.

Using capsules correctly

When first purchasing a box of capsules, many homeowners don't fully understand how to use the product. There's no need to load the capsules into the dispenser. Unlike regular washing powder or liquid gel, capsules should be placed directly into the drum. If you place them in the detergent dispenser, they won't dissolve completely, meaning you won't achieve the desired cleaning effect. The instructions for using laundry detergent pads are as follows:

  • Place a batch of items into the washing machine, observing the maximum permissible load weight;
  • Place the capsule under your clothes, placing it at the far wall of the tank;
  • select the required program, start the cycle.where to put the capsules

Carefully remove the "pad" from the box. It's important not to damage the shell, otherwise the chemicals may come into contact with your skin and cause an allergic reaction or irritation. Do not remove it with wet hands.

Capsules are not recommended for hand washing or cleaning woolen or silk items.

One pad is sufficient for the washing machine. Using too much detergent will cause stains on items. Whitish stains should be removed immediately after they are noticed. An additional rinse can help eliminate the problem if the stains were discovered immediately after washing. If the stains have already dried, you can remove them with a tried-and-true method: dab the stained area with rubbing alcohol, then wash the item again and rinse.

What is the capsule made of?

Household chemical manufacturers are using the latest technology. The latest development in laundry detergents is the ability to produce water-soluble microcontainers filled with gel. The main components of the capsules' internal mixture are surfactants, phosphonates (necessary for water softening), enzymes (natural enzymes that accelerate the process of dirt dissolution), fragrances and stain removers.

Ariel's shell also contains a conditioner-rinse agent that activates during the rinse cycle. It does not contain optical brighteners. Ariel tablets dissolve quickly, even in cool water. Dosage is easy to calculate; instructions are provided on the packaging.

The microcontainer shell, which contains the active ingredients, is made of water-soluble polymers. The pads are available in a variety of shades, and the high-quality laundry gel tackles even the most stubborn stains without pre-soaking.

Ariel 3 in 1 capsules contain a stain remover, a gel detergent and a fabric softener.

It's important to keep this product out of reach of children and water. The brightly colored tablets can deteriorate if exposed to moisture. For small children, the capsules can easily cause severe poisoning if swallowed. Place the capsules in an airtight container and keep them out of reach of children.

Advantages and disadvantages

Standard loose powder detergents are inferior in many ways to modern encapsulated gels. Experts, analyzing the composition of liquid detergents, noted their excellent cleaning performance, thanks to the added stain remover (developed by Ariel). There are several advantages to 3-in-1 capsules; let's explore them.

  • Precise dosage. It's impossible to exceed the recommended dosage; the manufacturer clearly specifies the weight of laundry for each tablet. If you follow the instructions, there will be no streaks left on your clothes. One capsule is generally enough for one wash cycle.The benefits of Ariel capsules
  • Integrated action. They eliminate the need to purchase separate stain remover, detergent, and conditioner, as they perform the functions of all three simultaneously. The cleaning mixture "pads" contain all the necessary components to ensure high-quality cleaning.
  • Excellent washing quality. The coating contains active ingredients produced using the latest technology. These substances not only remove stains but also preserve the color and shape of the fabric, even with daily washing.
  • Safety. If you follow the instructions, the active ingredients in the capsule will not come into contact with mucous membranes or the skin of your hands. The tablet shell dissolves only when exposed to water.
  • Completely dissolves in cool water. Even at 30°C, the capsule disintegrates completely and is then easily rinsed out of the fabric fibers. No detergent residue remains on items, and no gel residue will remain on the drum walls.
  • Cost-effectiveness. Measuring powder or liquid gel with a special cup often results in spills and scattering. Also, most users measure the dosage by eye, which often leads to overspending. Ariel capsules eliminate these issues.
  • Convenient packaging. The tablets are housed in a water-resistant plastic container. It seals tightly with a lid and is easy to store.

Among the downsides, the capsule can't be divided into sections. This drawback is especially noticeable when the washing machine is running a half-empty cycle. The capsule also can't be used for hand washing. Another drawback is the excessively bright colors of the "pads." They attract the attention of small children. Therefore, the container should not be left in easily accessible places.

Types of the product

The Ariel brand produces 2-in-1 and 3-in-1 encapsulated gel detergents. The three-component capsules have gained particular popularity. The manufacturer offers three types of laundry pads:

  • green – designed for cleaning white and light-colored items and combating stubborn stains;

  • with the fabric softener "Lenor" - specifically for cleaning bedding.Types of Ariel capsules

The hostess's opinion?

Elena, Moscow

I first decided to try this laundry detergent about three months ago. I was curious to test this cleaning method. I loaded a couple of towels, some loungewear, pajamas, underwear, and a few other small items into the washing machine. I placed the capsule underneath the items, as recommended by the manufacturer. I ran the standard "Cotton" cycle for 75 minutes. When the machine started, I still couldn't tell if the foam had dissolved. There was no suds at all.

But my confusion didn't last long. Literally five minutes into the cycle, the foam had built up so much that it obscured everything—I couldn't even see my clothes. It felt like I'd just dumped half a packet of detergent into the machine.

The residual foam didn't disappear even during the rinse cycle. Only towards the very end of the cycle did the water become more or less clear. When I opened the door to take out my clothes, I was hit by a simply "overwhelming" aroma. The concentration nearly knocked me off my feet. The smell literally permeated the entire house.

The washed laundry made a slight "fizz." That is, when you squeezed it, you could hear the foam melting, although none was visible on the items. The washing quality is truly excellent – there was no trace of stains left on the clothes. I have no complaints about the cleansing properties of the capsules.There is too much foam from the capsules

I felt uncomfortable touching the washed laundry. It felt too stiff and crisp, and the foam seemed to have not been completely rinsed out of the fabric. The scent from the clothes was also so strong that it literally gave me a headache.

I didn't run an extra rinse, which I later regretted. I couldn't sleep on the sheets or wear pajamas or loungewear washed by Ariel. The smell was overwhelming; I've never smelled such a lingering scent from any perfume.

I barely made it through one day of underwear. After work, I immediately took it off and threw it in the wash. The Ariel scent wafts even through thick clothing: jeans, sweaters. I also noticed a slight itch—I constantly wanted to scratch my skin.

I think the price of this product is greatly inflated, and it's not worth buying an expensive package that will last for a maximum of 12 washes.

So, besides the high price, I didn't like the 3-in-1 capsules because they couldn't be dosed, they foamed excessively, and they had a strong scent. I won't be using the pads anymore because the gel doesn't rinse out well and caused a mild allergic reaction.
