Ariston Margherita Washing Machine Manual

Ariston car manualIn the age of information technology, losing your washing machine's printed manual shouldn't be a sad experience. Even if you've bought a used machine without it, you can always find an electronic version. In this article, we offer the manual for the Ariston Margherita washing machine.

Installation

Before using your washing machine, you need to ensure it's installed properly. After unpacking the unit, carefully inspect it for any possible damage. Don't assume everything is fine. If you find anything, call the store immediately and don't even think about turning it on.

If everything is in order, then you need to remove the shipping bolts that held the moving parts in place. Be sure to save them; you might need them, for example, if you move. The holes for the bolts can be closed with special plugs.

The next step is leveling the surface the machine will rest on. Typically, the machine itself is leveled by rotating the front feet, but this may not be enough. Learn more about... How to level a washing machine Read the article on our website.

Once you've prepared the installation site, begin connecting the hoses. Hand-tighten the inlet hose to a ¾-diameter water pipe or its branch. Then, screw the bent end of the hose to the tube coming from the inlet valve at the rear of the machine.

Important! Don't lose the rubber seal located immediately after the fitting washer.

Connect the drain hose to the drain or drain outlet in the sink trap, ensuring that its end is not submerged in water. The top drain point should be secured at a height of 60-100 cm using the clamp on the back of the machine. When connecting, you may need to extend the hose; this can be done, but the total length should not exceed 150 cm.

Now all that remains is to connect the machine to the electricity, but before doing this:

  • Check that the wiring complies with the maximum load of the machine;
  • does the voltage in the network correspond to the permissible norm;
  • Does the plug from the machine's cord fit your outlet? If not, change the outlet but do not use an adapter;
  • Is there grounding in the electrical network?

Powder tray

Ariston Margarita 2000The Ariston Margarita 2000 washing machine has a semicircular powder drawer that opens outward. It's divided into four compartments. The far left compartment is for various fabric softeners and conditioners. The elongated right compartment is the main compartment, where liquid or powder detergent is placed.

The center compartment is for prewash. It can hold either liquid or dry detergent. The fourth compartment is inserted into the prewash compartment if you need to add bleach. Be careful not to overfill; there's a special mark on the compartment to indicate this.

Please note: Pre-wash and bleach are mutually exclusive; you cannot use both functions simultaneously.

Starting the wash

ariston-margarita-2000The washing machine is started from the control panel, so it's important to know at least the basic buttons. After plugging in the machine, press the power button on the control panel, next to the program selector knob. To select the desired program, turn this knob clockwise only. Do not turn it counterclockwise! Once you've selected a program, press the knob itself; the wash will start within 5 seconds.

The two large lower buttons are used to select the spin speed or turn it off, and to select the wash temperature. The panel also features the following buttons:

  • the machine stops during the washing process;
  • accelerated washing mode;
  • Advanced wash – a button that allows you to use pre-wash;
  • pre-wash.

When choosing a program, be careful. Pay attention to the labels on your clothes, consider the fabric type, and be sure to sort items by color.

Care and safety rules

The washing machine's operating instructions cover not only installation and start-up instructions but also maintenance and safety rules. To ensure your washing machine continues to function properly for a long time, keep it clean. Here are some helpful tips:

  1. First of all, after each wash, close the water tap.
  2. Wipe the machine drum and rubber seal with a dry cloth. This will prevent the formation of mold and unpleasant odors.
  3. It is best to rinse the powder tray in clean water and also wipe it with a dry cloth.
  4. Wash the outside of your car with warm water and a little soap.
  5. Do not exceed the dosage of detergents, this will lead to the formation of a large amount of foam.
  6. Before washing, check the contents of your pockets to ensure that no foreign objects fall into the machine drum.
  7. Perform an empty wash with a special machine cleaning product once every six months.
  8. Check the drain filter regularly and clean it to remove debris and dirt.
  9. During washing, do not touch the machine and keep children away from the door.
  10. Never open the door with force.
  11. If there is a malfunction or an extraneous noise, turn off the water supply tap and unplug the machine.

    I understood a lot, but I couldn't figure out how to wash the laundry. Everything was written on the control panel, but in a different language. I couldn't figure out how to set the program so that it would only be used once.
