Which washing machine is better: Indesit or Atlant?

Indesit and AtlantToday, we decided to discuss in detail a difficult question from our readers: which washing machine is better? We usually try to avoid such questions, but people often ask which is better: Indesit or Atlant. Let's compare these two brands, choosing the best.

The most popular ATLANT

Atlant washing machines are distinguished by their low price and acceptable technical specifications. They are often purchased by families on a budget, but the same can be said about Indesit washing machines. What makes these machines from the Belarusian manufacturer so special, and can they compete with the world-famous Italian brand?

They certainly can, otherwise Indesit washing machines would have long since supplanted Atlant machines. Right now, we can't say offhand what makes Atlant machines special, so we'll first review them and then draw any preliminary conclusions. While researching the topic, we were able to identify three of the most popular Atlant models, which have received very high user ratings.

ATLANT 70C108

Why has the ATLANT 70C108 washing machine been the best-selling machine for several months now? Because despite its low price, this model boasts some impressive technical specifications. First, let's take a look at the drum of this "home helper." It holds 7 kg of laundry. Second, let's take a look at the modern electronic controls. And third, the spin cycle, which can run at up to 1000 rpm.

Add to this an impressive selection of washing programs – 15 in total, complete protection against key risks such as leaks, imbalances, or excessive foaming, as well as considerable efficiency. The machine uses about 47 liters of water per cycle. Additional functions include:

  • advanced self-diagnosis of faults;
  • a system for removing residual water from the tank;
  • the possibility of adding laundry after the program has started;
  • LED indication.

So how much does this modern and reliable model cost? Currently, it's priced at $300. Not a lot for a machine with a larger drum capacity.

ATLANT 60С88

Slightly behind the ATLANT 70C108 in sales is another excellent washing machine, the ATLANT 60C88. It can wash 6 kg of laundry in a single cycle and spin at up to 800 rpm. Its control module also stores a whopping 23 washing programs. Few mid-range machines can boast such features, and the ATLANT 60C88 is a budget model, currently priced at just $217.

The machine doesn't have a display, but users report that this doesn't interfere with its normal operation. Per wash, the machine consumes approximately 50 liters of water and approximately 0.19 kWh of electricity. It's worth noting that the machine has partial leak protection and sensors that monitor imbalances and foam formation. The loading door opens wide, and you can delay the start of a program for up to 24 hours.

The ATLANT 60C88 features a special anti-crease wash cycle. Housewives report that after washing on this cycle, items are virtually wrinkle-free and easy to iron, as long as they don't overdry.

ATLANT 50U88

This machine is designed specifically for those who don't require a large drum load and want to really save money. The ATLANT 50U88 can wash up to 5 kg of laundry, with a spin speed of up to 800 rpm. The machine's body is only 42 cm deep, making it a narrow machine. It also operates quite quietly. During the spin cycle at maximum speed, it produces 68 dB, which is slightly below regulatory standards.

It's worth noting that the machine has 23 wash programs, uses 45 liters of water per cycle, and can remove stubborn stains using a special program. Additional features include a delayed start timer and a wool program. Like the previous model, the ATLANT 50U88 has a 180-degree opening door.

The most popular Indesit

So, we've completed our review of Atlant washing machines. Now, to figure out which is better, Atlant or Indesit, we need to take a closer look at the most popular Indesit washing machine models. It was challenging to narrow down the most popular models, but we think we've accomplished our goal. We present our review for your consideration.

Indesit BWSE 61051

This front-loading washing machine holds up to 6 kg of dry laundry. It features a classic design and a large digital display on the front panel. Its slim body, just 43 cm, offers 16 different washing programs. The user can also adjust the water temperature in some programs. Among the additional features, the manufacturer offers an odor-eliminating function.

The spin cycle isn't ultra-fast, but 1000 rpm is sufficient to avoid damaging most fabrics. One minor drawback: the machine is noisy, reaching 83 dB during the spin cycle. It only offers partial protection against water leaks. The model costs $230.

Indesit BTW E71253 P

This top-loading washing machine has a drum capacity of 7 kg. Surprisingly, it's very popular with consumers. This can be explained by its low price and excellent features. Judge for yourself: 14 wash cycles and a low noise level (77 dB) during the spin cycle, which runs at 1200 rpm.

In this machine you can safely add forgotten items during the wash cycle. As for protection, the manufacturer has provided protection against leaks, but has not thought about protection from children. Although the lid, which is almost 85 cm high, is difficult for a very small child to open, and the buttons are out of reach. Overall, it's a good washing machine for $396.

Indesit XWDA 751680X W

This washing machine is a dream come true, outperforming the previous two models by a wide margin. Despite its price of $715, it not only washes up to 7 kg of dry laundry but also dries 5 kg of items.

It has slightly fewer washing modes, but even its 12 options include everything you need, even washing sportswear. And the spin speed is considered ultra-fast, reaching up to 1600 rpm. Like most Indesit front-loading machines, it features partial leak protection and child safety. It's a full-size washer, measuring 54 cm deep.

Let's compare the cars

We've learned a lot about the best Indesit and ATLANT washing machines, now it's time to figure out which one to choose. We'll compare the best machines from both brands based on a combination of parameters:

  • price;
  • dimensions;
  • reliability;
  • loading;
  • noise level during operation;
  • cost of repairs.

Let's start with price. Comparing models from different brands based on this parameter is very difficult, so we'll just give a general overview. Indesit washing machines are widely available in the budget and mid-price categories, while Atlant produces primarily budget-friendly models. Both brands can boast of good and inexpensive cars, so in this parameter they are equal.

Both Atlant and Indesit produce narrow and standard front-loading washing machines. However, Indesit also offers top-loading washing machines, while Atlant does not specialize in them.

Atlant washing machines are more reliable than Indesit ones, and this is evident even in the warranty. Most Indesit machines come with a one-year warranty, while Atlant offers a mandatory five-year warranty. Technicians also note that Indesit machines break down more often than Atlant machines. However, this is, of course, a subjective opinion on the part of some technicians. We were unable to make a more objective comparison based on this parameter.

Now let's compare the machines by drum capacity. In this regard, Indesit washing machines have the advantage. We compared models in the same price category and concluded that a number of this brand's machines have drums that hold, on average, 1-2 kg more laundry than Atlant machines. This is absolutely true.

In terms of noise levels, Indesit washing machines clearly lost out to Atlant washing machines. The latter are significantly quieter than their competitors, as users themselves have noted.

The average noise level of an Indesit appliance during operation (during the spin cycle) is 76 dB. Atlantes produce around 68 dB, so the difference is quite noticeable.

When considering repair costs, we should first consider the cost of spare parts for these brands' appliances. The labor involved in replacing parts will cost roughly the same. Since spare parts for Atlant machines are slightly cheaper than those for Indesit machines, we can conclude that repairing the latter is somewhat more expensive. Add to this the well-founded assertion that Indesits break down more often than Atlant models, and we can easily confirm this conclusion.

So, the reader is expecting our conclusion about which washing machines are generally better. And apparently, they'll get it, because we've managed to reach that conclusion. Based on all parameters, Atlant washing machines emerged as the clear winner by a small margin, and we're happy about that, since these washing machines are manufactured in our sister country, Belarus. If your interests extend beyond Indesit and Atlant machines, we recommend you explore them. Washing machine ratings 2018, and with this we conclude our story today and wish you good luck!
