Bosch Maxx 5 Washing Machine Manual

Bosch Maxx5 washing machine instructionsA short user manual is intended to be a quick reference guide to help you quickly get started with your new washing machine. A long manual is difficult to read, and many users simply won't bother, instead learning to use their new Bosch Maxx by trial and error, which can lead to problems. After some thought, we decided to release a shortened version of the Bosch Maxx 5 washing machine manual, distilling the essentials and eliminating the fluff. And here's what we came up with.

We install and connect

The Bosch Maxx 5 series washing machine requires secure installation on a stable surface. During the spin cycle, the washing machine can move due to strong vibrations, so it's crucial to level it, or better yet, secure the feet to keep the machine stable.

Warning! The Bosch Maxx 5 washing machine is very heavy, so be careful when moving it.

After unpacking the machine, check that the case is not damaged. If damage is found, you must take steps to return the equipment to the store; do not even try to plug it into the power outlet. If the housing is intact and there are no complaints about the packaging, you can proceed with installation. Before moving the washing machine, make sure everything is in order in the area where you'll be placing it.

  • The floor has been reinforced. It doesn't need to be perfectly level, as the washing machine has removable feet on the base, but it's still recommended.
  • The outlets from the water supply and sewer pipes were arranged. In addition, a special moisture-resistant system had to be made. washing machine socket.
  • There was enough space between the items to accommodate the washing machine body, ensuring that the gap on all sides was at least 1 cm.

The Bosch Maxx model 5 has shipping bolts on the back panel that secure the drum during transport. These bolts should be removed. Store them away, but don't throw them away; they might come in handy later. Plug any holes that may have formed. The inlet and drain hoses should also be removed from their mountings, but only after the machine has been moved to its final location.

Next, take a spirit level, place it on the lid of the washing machine, and begin to unscrew its feet one by one until it's level. The acceptable deviation is no more than 2 degrees. Then, connect the drain hose to the sewer pipe. It's crucial to ensure the hose has a bend so that water can stand in the elbow. This will prevent odors from escaping from the sewer into the washing machine. The optimal connection height is 60 cm.

Next, connect the inlet hose to the water pipe outlet via the tee tap, making sure to insulate the connections with fumka. The tee tap outlets have a standard diameter of ¾ inches. Before screwing the inlet hose on, check that all rubber seals are in place.

Caution! Do not connect the washing machine to a water supply with very low water pressure. You can check this by opening the tap and counting the amount of water that flows out in one minute (it should be at least 8 liters per minute).

Lastly, connect the washing machine to the power outlet. Before plugging it in, make sure it hasn't come into contact with water. The outlet must also be fully functional. If you have any doubts, consult an electrician. The most important thing is that the outlet is grounded and capable of handling the maximum load of the Bosch washing machine.

Understanding the powder receptacle

This brand's washing machine has a standard, rectangular powder drawer. It can be removed by pulling the handle all the way out. A special stop prevents the drawer from being pulled out completely. When you first pull out the powder drawer, you'll see three compartments.

  • Compartment #1 (looking from right to left) is marked with the Roman numeral "I," making it impossible to confuse. It's designed for prewash, so you won't use it often.
  • Compartment #2 (located in the middle) is marked with a flower. This is where you should pour conditioner, starch, or rinse aid.
  • Compartment #3 (looking from right to left) is marked with the Roman numeral "II." This is the compartment we'll use most often. It holds the main wash powder, Calgon, and stain remover.

You should pour detergent into compartment #1 if the program includes a prewash. A prewash may be necessary, particularly when washing heavily soiled cotton or blended laundry. Avoid overdosing on powder, conditioner, and especially bleach. This can damage not only the laundry, but also the washing machine (increased foaming from excess powder can damage the electronic module).

How to start washing?

After connecting this brand of washing machine, don't rush to press the on/off button. First, check that the tee valve is open and that water isn't flowing into the machine's drum by gravity. If everything is fine, proceed as follows.

  1. Turn on the machine by pressing the mentioned button.
  2. Close the hatch tightly.
  3. Add some detergent to the main wash compartment of the powder drawer and push the drawer back in.
  4. Find the program selector on the control panel and use it to select the 90°C wash cycle.0WITH.
  5. Press the "Start" button and wait for the wash cycle to complete. Once the washing machine stops, you can consider it ready for normal use.

Bosch control panel

When you first start your Bosch washing machine, never place any laundry in the drum. Allow the program to run empty.

To wash your laundry, follow the same steps as the first time you use it, but use more detergent and remember to sort the laundry before loading it into the machine. After selecting a program, press the "Start" button and wait for the wash cycle to complete. If you need to add more laundry during the wash cycle, press "Start" again and then wait for one of the following messages to appear on the display. "Yes" means you can add more laundry. Open the door and add the laundry. "No" means you cannot add more laundry. To continue the wash cycle, press "Start" again.

You can change the program while it's running. To do this, press "Start," turn the mode selector to the desired position, and then press "Start" again. The old program will be canceled, and the new one will start from the beginning. If you accidentally selected a high-temperature wash, cancel it in the same way, but instead of the new program, select "Rinse." This will help cool the laundry and minimize the negative effects.

Care and safety: basic rules

To ensure a long-lasting service, your Bosch washing machine needs proper care. After each wash, be sure to leave the door slightly open to allow air to circulate. Otherwise, mold and mildew may form and cause an unpleasant odor. Also, leave the detergent drawer slightly open.

After finishing the wash cycle, wipe the door seal, the interior of the drum, and the interior of the detergent drawer with a cloth. You should also unscrew the dust filter every 4-5 washes and rinse out any dirt that accumulates there. Be especially careful when loading laundry into the machine, and remember to check pockets to ensure that small items do not fall into the drum and from there into the tank. When you are finished using the machine, be sure to turn off the tap.

For safety reasons, keep small children away from the washing machine. Avoid overloading the machine with laundry. Avoid adding too much detergent or fabric softener. If the machine refuses to wash after being turned on and displays an error code, contact an authorized service center immediately.

So, we consider the instructions in our abridged version to be the most important. If you'd like to read the full instructions for this model of washing machine, it couldn't be easier, as they're included with this publication. Good luck!

Why does the machine switch to the rinse cycle and continue washing? It doesn't drain or refill water. Also, after the rinse cycle, it switches to spin mode and doesn't drain or spin.

    • Gravatar Anton Anton:

Try turning it on at 90 degrees and then touching the door. If the water in the machine is cold, then the heating element is dead. I have encountered this.

The child was pressing the buttons and now the key light is on. None of the programs work.

    • Gravatar Nina Nina:

If your child has activated the lock, press the round start-stop button. And hold it. When it beeps and the key disappears, the lock is unlocked. You can also lock it the same way: press and hold. I always do this when I start the washing machine, otherwise the kids will fidget and poke the buttons.
