Review of 45cm semi-integrated dishwashers

Review of 45cm semi-integrated dishwashersMany users have appreciated 45 cm semi-integrated dishwashers. Why do they prefer them? There are many reasons, and we'll be sure to discuss them. We'll also be reviewing high-quality semi-integrated models of these "home helpers." We'll also publish several reviews from their owners. Don't miss out—it'll be interesting!

Features of these machines

Some people still don't know the difference between a partially integrated dishwasher and a fully integrated one. A fully integrated dishwasher, as the name suggests, is completely concealed within the cabinet. Its control panel is located on the edge of the door, so to select a program and make other adjustments, the user must open the door.

In a partially built-in machine, the control panel is located above the door, so settings can be made regardless of whether the door is open or closed. A partially integrated dishwasher can also be fitted with a cabinet front, but it will naturally leave the control panel visible. If you prefer kitchen appliances to be out of sight behind cabinetry, this type of dishwasher isn't for you; you should choose a fully integrated model. However, if you prefer to see the dishwasher's progress and adjust settings during the cycle, you'll want a dishwasher with an open control panel.

It's also worth mentioning that the vast majority of semi-integrated dishwashers are full-size. Models with a narrow 45 cm wide body are rare, although they are currently the most popular. Perhaps manufacturers will adjust their offerings over time, but for now, we'll make do with what we have.

In our review, we'll present four dishwasher models with a 45 cm body and take a closer look at their specifications.

Bosch SRI 45T16

A simple and rather unusual semi-integrated dishwasher with a 45 cm body. It is most often sold in a dark gray frame. Its control panel is black. This machine will fit perfectly in a kitchen with stylish black cabinetry. The baskets hold 9 place settings. Water consumption is quite high – 13 liters per cycle.

  1. There is electronic control.
  2. There is protection against child interference.
  3. You can delay the start of the program for up to 19 hours in 1-hour increments.
  4. The machine is completely protected from leaks.
  5. The technology is capable of recognizing 3-in-1 tablets.

This model isn't the loudest, but it's not the quietest either. It can produce up to 47 dB during operation. The Bosch SRI 45T16 features a heat exchanger, a flow-through heating element, wave arms, and a self-cleaning filter.

Kaiser S 45 U 71 XL

A much more advanced model with a 45 cm body. The machine also features a control panel located above the door. The wash chamber holds 10 place settings. The Kaiser S 45 U 71 XL features electronic controls and a modern, informative display. The control module stores 7 wash modes, including a popular program for washing fragile items.

The machine has few additional features. These include a delayed start timer and a leak-proof system. There are indicators that notify you when the rinse aid or salt supply is low. The model comes in a beautiful silver case.

Electrolux ESI 4620 RAX

A slim, semi-integrated dishwasher from a renowned manufacturer. The baskets can accommodate up to 9 place settings at a time. This model is quite energy-efficient, using approximately 9.9 liters of water and only 0.7 kWh of energy per cycle. The Electrolux ESI 4620 RAX offers a wide range of user settings, including six wash programs and four temperature settings. Its range of additional features extends beyond a timer and leak protection. The "arsenal" includes:

  • sensor that monitors water quality;
  • 3-in-1 product detection sensor;
  • a speaker that gives a sound signal after the program is completed;
  • special holder for glasses;
  • internal lighting of the washing chamber;
  • Height-adjustable baskets and tray.

Bosch Serie 4 SPI 50x95

This German "home helper" from Bosch, Series 4, is a solid performer among modern dishwashers. It's quite reliable and holds 9 place settings. Its narrow design allows this semi-integrated machine to fit even in a small kitchen. The dishwasher features child protection, a delayed start system, leak protection, a water purity sensor, and a 3-in-1 module.

The machine features a dual-arm wash system located above the upper basket. This innovative wash system washes cutlery and small dishes much more effectively. The Bosch Series 4 SPI 50X95 is equipped with a modern glass holder and adjustable baskets with special slots for plates.

Owners' opinions

Lydia, Moscow

I bought an Electrolux ESI 4620 RAX at a local appliance store about a year ago. It's still working flawlessly, and I haven't had any problems. It doesn't always clean dishes perfectly, but I'm a firm believer in not using expensive detergents. A+!

Sergey, Moscow

I wasn't impressed at all by the Bosch Serie 4 SPI 50X95. I've been using it for two months now and I can say it doesn't clean dishes very well. I was advised to check water hardness for a dishwasherThey say that if you adjust the water hardness correctly, the machine will work better. I don't understand why such a simple machine needs such fine-grained adjustments. I think the manufacturer is simply misleading customers. I'm not happy!

Irina, St. Petersburg

I really liked the Kaiser S 45 U 71 XL; the results are amazing. I was hoping to save a little money with this machine, but in reality, the Kaiser is a real money-saver. How do the savings actually manifest themselves? First and foremost, time. I free up about 30 minutes a day for my daily chores. I recommend it to everyone!
