Yet, these can significantly improve washing quality or be useful in other ways. Let's explore the delicate wash function in an Indesit washing machine. What are its benefits, and is it worth using?

Description of delicate wash?

The delicate cycle on any washing machine of any brand is a gentle cycle designed for cleaning delicate items that require special care. What items is this suitable for? These include delicate lingerie with lace inserts, silk, wool, delicate synthetic fabrics, and items made from them. In short, if an item is labeled for hand wash only, a delicate cycle in a machine can sometimes be a perfect substitute.

Important! When starting a gentle regimen, it is recommended to avoid using dry powders; it is better to choose gel-based products.

The duration of the delicate cycle depends on both the model's characteristics and the user's settings. On average, Indesit machines last up to 50 minutes. In this case, the drum is filled only to 1/3 of the basic load volume (in Indesit washing machines this is usually 2 kg). The heating temperature does not exceed 40 degrees by default, but the user can reduce it to 30 or turn off the heating altogether.

What other programs do Indesit machines have?

• Cotton: Heavily soiled laundry. Maximum temperature 90°C, maximum spin 1000 rpm. Maximum load 6 kg. Cycle time 140 minutes. Allows the use of detergents, bleaches, and fabric softeners.
• Cotton (1) is suitable for fast-dyed items. Heats up to 60 degrees, spins up to 1000 rpm. Maximum load: 6 kg. Cycle duration: 195 minutes. Compatible with a basic detergent, bleach, and fabric softener.
• Cotton (2) is suitable for delicate colored laundry. Heats up to 40 degrees, spins up to 1000 rpm. Maximum capacity is 6 kg, and the wash time is 180 minutes. Compatible with a basic detergent, bleach, and fabric softener.
• Cotton: Heavily soiled whites and colorfast colored items. Heat up to 60°C, spin up to 1000 rpm. Load capacity: 6 kg max. Cycle duration: 120 minutes. Compatible with a standard detergent, bleach, and fabric softener.
• Colored cotton. For delicate, colored items. Heat up to 40 degrees Celsius, speed up to 1000 rpm. Maximum load: 6 kg. Program duration: no more than 85 minutes. Requires the use of a base detergent, fabric softener, and bleach.
• Intensive synthetics. For heavily soiled colored laundry. Heats up to 60 degrees, spins up to 800 rpm. Maximum load capacity is 3 kg, cycle duration is 105 minutes. Use with a basic detergent, bleach, and fabric softener.
• Synthetics. For lightly soiled, colorfast laundry. Water temperature up to 40°C, spin speed up to 1000 rpm. Maximum load capacity 3 kg, cycle duration 95 minutes.
• Wool. For wool and wool-based items. Heat up to 40°C, spin speed up to 600 rpm. Use of both detergent and rinse aid is permitted. Maximum load: 1 kg, cycle duration: 65 minutes.
• Silk/Curtains. For cleaning silk, viscose, and delicate lingerie. Water is heated to 30 degrees Celsius, and there is no spin cycle. Combines with a rinse aid and a detergent. Maximum load: 1 kg. Program duration: 65 minutes.
• Jeans. Water temperature up to 40°C, spin speed up to 800 rpm. Maximum capacity 2.5 kg, cycle duration 70 minutes. Use with base detergent and rinse aid.
• Express 15. Temperature no higher than 30 degrees, spin speed up to 800 rpm. Maximum load capacity is 1.5 kg, cycle time is only 15 minutes. Requires use of both the main detergent and rinse aid.It is strictly not recommended to wash delicate items using this cycle!
• Sport Intensive. Water temperature up to 30 degrees, spin speed up to 600 rpm. Maximum load: 2.5 kg. Cycle duration: 85 minutes. Compatible with the main detergent and rinse aid.
• Sports. Similar to the previous program, the only difference is that the duration is 60 minutes.
• Sports shoes. Water temperature up to 30 degrees. Spin speed up to 600 rpm. This algorithm is combined with the main wash detergent and fabric softener. The cycle lasts 55 minutes.

Please note! You can wash no more than two pairs of shoes at a time in your Indesit washing machine on the "Sports Shoes" cycle!

In addition, there are three short programs that implement one of the cycle stages: "Rinse," "Spin," and "Drain without Spin." They all have a maximum load capacity of 6 kg. The rinse cycle allows the use of both detergent and rinse aid. The "Rinse" and "Spin" programs can be set to a speed of up to 1000 rpm, while "Drain without Spin" does not support spinning.
