This mode is most often found in Indesit "home assistants," not only in high-end models but even in budget ones. So, what is this program that marketers are using to attract new customers? Its main difference lies in the fact that the number of revolutions is significantly reduced compared to a standard spin cycle. If you activate the delicate spin cycle in your washing machine, the spin speed will not exceed 400 rpm, regardless of the cycle settings.

This is a rather convenient option, as once activated, you no longer need to adjust the washing mode. However, any adjustments take just a few seconds, so you might as well manually turn the speed dial to the "400" position. This is why the delicate spin mode ultimately offers no real appeal to washing machine users. It was added rather to increase the overall number of programs and make the machine more appealing.

Useful programs for the Indesit washing machine

Not all washing machine modes are just for show, so it's best to carefully read the official instructions immediately after purchasing a new appliance. The user manual provides detailed descriptions of all operating modes, operating tips, and much more.

This is extremely important, because choosing the wrong washing program can damage both your clothes and the appliance itself. For example, if you try to wash wool clothes on a standard cotton cycle, the items will simply become deformed. At the same time, washing soiled knitted T-shirts on a delicate cycle will not produce any results, as the T-shirts will remain dirty.

Let's look at the basic cycles on Indesit washing machines from the popular Innex series. Most often, the program list consists of the same programs with minor differences. All modes can be divided into three groups:

• Delicate fabrics. A special cycle for the most delicate items that may warp in hot water. The cycle lasts only 80 minutes, heats up to 30 degrees Celsius, and does not spin.
• Quick. Finally, a special short cycle for simply refreshing unsoiled clothes. Water is heated to 30 degrees Celsius, the cycle lasts 30 minutes, and the spin speed is 800 rpm.

It is better not to wash silk, wool, cashmere and other delicate fabrics on this quick cycle, as they may become deformed due to the strong spin.

Now let's look at the classic programs most often chosen by housewives for standard washing. There are four of them:

• Cotton. The algorithm is designed for heavily soiled white and colored garments. Heat can be adjusted from 40 to 60 degrees Celsius, and the spin speed is set to the highest by default. Cycle time is a record 230 minutes.
• Synthetics. This program is designed for cleaning synthetics and other durable fabrics. It features water temperatures from 40 to 60 degrees Celsius, and all spin cycles are available. The wash cycle lasts 125 minutes.
• Mixed Fabrics. This mode cleans items made from mixed fabrics, including synthetic and natural fibers. The temperature is set at 40 degrees Celsius, the spin speed is 1000 rpm, and the wash duration is 125 minutes.
• White Cotton. A dedicated function for heavily soiled whites, it heats the water immediately to 90 degrees Celsius. The cycle lasts 125 minutes and ends with the strongest spin possible in the Innex series of washing machines.

Finally, let's explore the special modes of Indesit washing machines. Some of these may not be available on your appliance, as the number of special cycles varies depending on the model:

• Sports. A special algorithm for sportswear and footwear at 30 degrees Celsius and a spin speed of 600 rpm. It only takes 50 minutes to wash leggings, tops, sneakers, trainers, and other items made of elastane, nylon, and other similar materials.
• Down/Feather. This program is designed for care of items with down filling, such as pillows, winter jackets, blankets, and so on. Water temperature is set to 30 degrees Celsius, maximum spin speed is achieved, and the washing time is 100 minutes.
• Wool. A separate cycle for wool, cashmere, and acrylic items. It lasts 65 minutes, heats water to 40 degrees Celsius, and spins at a low speed of 600 to 800.
• Odor Elimination. This option removes unpleasant odors from your clothes. It lasts 135 minutes, spins at the highest speed, and has a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius.

Indesit washing machines also feature a rinse and spin cycle, a spin cycle with drain cycle, and a separate drain cycle. These are useful in various situations where the standard wash cycle isn't suitable. To launch these separate programs, simply select them using the programmer like any other cycle.
