Error E01 on a Vestel washing machine

During the wash cycle, a Vestel washing machine may suddenly stop working and display the E01 error code. On models equipped with a display, the user will immediately see the error code. Machines without a display will notify the user of the malfunction by flashing two indicators – "Start/Pause" and "Rinse Hold." Let's look at what the E01 error code on a Vestel washing machine means and whether it can be repaired at home.

The meaning of the cipher and initial actions

• open the hatch;
• unscrew the two fixing bolts;
• bend back the edge of the drum cuff;
• put your hand behind the body;
• remove the UBL;
• Disconnect the power supply from the device.

Place one multimeter probe on the neutral terminal and the other on the live terminal. If a three-digit number appears on the screen, everything is OK. Then place the first probe on the neutral terminal and the second on the ground terminal. The device is faulty if the multimeter shows 1 or 0.

Sometimes the tester doesn't detect a fault, but the lock still doesn't work. You need to inspect the lock itself; the problem is likely a worn bimetallic element. This part can't be repaired; you'll need to purchase a new locking system as a replacement.
