What is Eco Bubble in a washing machine?
The market is flooded with automatic washing machines. They've become affordable for virtually every family, and the selection of models is enormous. Consequently, manufacturers are trying to attract customers by introducing various innovations to their appliances. Among these technical innovations, the Eco Bubble feature stands out, announced by Samsung representatives quite some time ago. Let's find out what it is and how to use it.
What is this function?
First, let's figure out what Eco Bubble is in a Samsung washing machine and how it works. Eco Bubble is a bubble wash; in other words, washing machines equipped with this function are capable of enriching the mixture of water and detergent with air. The air-rich mixture penetrates better between the fabric fibers, removing even stubborn stains.
The device that foams the water and detergent mixture is located between the dispenser nozzle and the washing machine's tub. From a technical standpoint, the Eco Bubble device is useful because it saves time on dissolving and foaming dry powder or detergent gel.

Please note: The Eco Bubble device is a special flow-through blower that quickly creates an air-rich mixture of detergent and water.
In other words, in this case, a pre-mixed, foamed mixture of water and detergent is added to the machine's drum. A regular automatic washing machine's drum is filled with water and partially dissolved detergent, and it takes a while for the powder to dissolve and begin washing. The question arises: why not run a longer wash cycle in a regular machine to allow the powder to dissolve and clean everything properly, or why not use a quick-dissolving detergent? But let's not get ahead of ourselves.
Advantages and disadvantages of the technology
The manufacturer of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology enthusiastically touts the advantages of their machines, claiming they are a step ahead of all other washing machines. To support their claim, the manufacturer cites a number of advantages of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology; let's outline them.
- The oxygen-rich mixture of water and detergent penetrates the fabric of dirty laundry much better, meaning it washes it much better.
- In an oxygen-rich mixture, fabrics are washed faster, meaning there is no need for long washing programs. Even on a short program everything washes out perfectly.
- Thanks to Eco Bubble, laundry doesn't hang around in the drum for hours, meaning less wear and tear on the fabric, and consequently, your laundry lasts longer.
- Eco Bubble technology saves water and energy. Firstly, it uses 30% less water to create an oxygen-enriched mixture than a conventional washing machine with the same size tub and drum. Secondly, there's no need to overheat the water; with Eco Bubble, clothes are washed at 30°C.0 just like in a regular car at 600.
- A washing machine with Eco Bubble completely dissolves even low-quality detergent, meaning it doesn't remain in your laundry or the machine. This is very valuable if you need to wash clothes of an allergy sufferer or a small child.
Having discussed the advantages of a washing machine with this feature, we can't help but mention its disadvantages. So far, we haven't found any serious downsides other than the price (machines with Eco Bubble are higher) and technical complexity. According to our technicians, the unit that creates the oxygen-enriched mixture is far from the most reliable component and is quite prone to failure.
Please note! We'll return to these shortcomings later, as we haven't yet reviewed reviews of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology. Perhaps we'll discover some other drawbacks.
Machine review
To gain a more detailed understanding of appliances equipped with the Eco Bubble feature, let's take a quick look at specific Samsung washing machine models that have been on the market for quite some time.
Samsung WWW10H9600EW/LP. This spacious automatic washing machine features a 10 kg capacity, an electronic touchscreen, and an Eco Bubble function. Besides its spacious drum, touchscreen, and Eco Bubble function, this model boasts many advantages: an inverter motor, adjustable spin speed from 300 to 1600 rpm, a delayed start, automatic laundry weighing, a half-load function, easy ironing, a quick wash, and much more. Its price, around $1,000, is its most significant drawback.

The Samsung WW60J6210DS is another washing machine from a well-known manufacturer equipped with Eco Bubble. This model has more modest specifications than the Samsung WWW10H9600EW/LP, but is also more affordable at around $400. The drum can only hold up to 6 kg, but in reality, it holds just over 5 kg. Spin speed is up to 1200 rpm. In addition to the Eco Bubble feature, this washing machine also offers a delayed start, half-load function, quick wash, and no-spin cycle.

Important! Most Samsung washing machine models overstate the drum size and capacity in their specifications. They probably have their own kilogram measurements in Korea!
Samsung WW90J6410CW. This model is also not cheap, despite being assembled in China, with an average price of around $500. This washing machine features a large drum capacity of up to 9 kg (it actually holds 7.5 kg), an Eco Bubble function, a spin speed of up to 1400 rpm, a delayed start, a half load function, and more. It has 14 wash cycles: cotton, synthetics, delicates, wool, dark fabrics, baby clothes, and more. There is also protection in the form of foam control, self-diagnosis of faults and child intervention.

Samsung WD80J7250GW/LP. This model, equipped with the Eco Bubble feature, will cost you around $700. This washing machine is also assembled in China and features a drum with a load capacity of up to 8 kg, a spin speed of up to 1200 rpm, an easy ironing function, and, most importantly, an excellent drying function. The downside is the lack of a leak protection, which is unacceptable for such an expensive model.

People's reviews
We've reviewed washing machine models equipped with the Eco Bubble feature, and now we're getting people's independent opinions about them. Some have already used Eco Bubble machines for 3-4 years, so they have plenty to say.

I can't comment on the advantages of the Eco Bubble feature, as this washing machine has left me with nothing but negative emotions. I'll simply list all the drawbacks I've found, and you can judge for yourself.
- It smells terribly of rubber, and even washed clothes smell like it. The smell doesn't go away over time.
- It tries to wash with very little water, but the clothes absorb everything, and the machine ends up just swishing wet clothes around without any water. This results in poor wash quality, to put it mildly.
- It's very noisy, especially during washing, and during the spin cycle it's downright noisy. Before the Samsung, I had three different machines (Siemens, Bosch, and Electrolux), and none of them made this much noise.
- It vibrates a lot. On my old machines I had bottles and boxes of detergent, but on this one you can’t put anything – it will shake everything off!

I bought this washing machine two years ago, and I was incredibly disappointed. It felt like the machine wasn't washing at all. You put your clothes in, and 40 minutes later you take out the same dirty laundry, only wet. That's how you save water, of course. You don't have to waste water if you don't wash. What pissed me off the most was the outerwear mode. What kind of mode is this if you can't wash down jackets or items made of synthetic padding in it? In short, it's nonsense. Don't buy this machine, it's complete rubbish.

I got this miracle machine three days ago, and I'm sitting here wondering how I'm going to take it back to the store. I spent a ton of money for nothing. That vaunted Eco Bubble doesn't wash my clothes at all. My old Siemens, which lasted 12 years, did a better job, even without any "Bubbles." Besides, it bounces around a lot, makes a lot of noise, and smells terrible. So, I'll return it and get a Siemens or LG instead.
In this article, we've provided just a few examples of reviews of washing machines with Eco Bubble technology. In total, we reviewed approximately 400 reviews of these machines from various websites—80% were negative.
To summarize, the Eco Bubble wash feature is a well-promoted and well-advertised technology, but in reality, people report that it's not very good. Washing machines equipped with Eco Bubble often perform worse than regular ones and are more expensive. Ultimately, you'll have to decide for yourself whether to buy such a machine. We've provided independent information, but we won't engage in negative advertising.

The machine doesn't wash well and is very noisy and shakes a lot. It's rubbish technology.
We bought this machine yesterday, and it shook like crazy during the first wash. I called the service center. They advised me to read the instructions more carefully =)
Guys, all I had to do was unscrew the four shipping bolts in the back and adjust the feet!! After that, we started it up again, and it stays put, no bouncing! The spin cycle is excellent! And by the way, if it's not washing your clothes, maybe you have a bad detergent? It washed out all the stains perfectly, both adult and baby ones!!! The clothes are snow-white! The machine is superb! It's simply fantastic!
Wasn't it possible to unscrew the bolts right away?
I agree, it's a good machine, I'm happy with it. It washes at a 5. The spin cycle is also superb. It's quiet, though a little noisy during the spin cycle.
I've had the machine for less than a month now and I love it. It washes perfectly. It's quiet. My little one is sleeping in the house, so I can't even hear it running.
We bought this machine six months ago. It washes just like all the others. No better, no worse. It has a door for tipping up. That's actually why we bought it. I didn't even notice the Eco Bubble feature when I bought it. I've only just started reading about it. The only downside is that it does have an unpleasant rubber smell, and small items (usually socks) get stuck in the huge gap between the door and the drum (the rubber is there). I'm constantly taking them out and hand washing them.
The machine is good, washes perfectly, spins well, and is quiet. It does smell of rubber sometimes, but it doesn't affect the clothes.
What kind of people are these! This is pure idiocy... Samsung has excellent washing machines, modern, and technologically advanced. And if the readings are jumping around, you need to read the instructions carefully. Loosen the shipping bolts, calibrate the drum to account for the weight of the laundry. And if it doesn't wash, the technology has nothing to do with it. Do you expect to wash everything with $0.03 detergent? That's not the case. Just buy good detergents, that's all. Good luck everyone!
Super, for those who understand and value time.
I bought a Samsung washing machine with EcoBubble a month ago. It washes perfectly and doesn't smell like rubber. It's actually assembled in Poland, not China or Russia.
It washes perfectly, everything is quiet, and there's no rubber smell. It doesn't shake a bit, and when it spins at 1200 rpm, you can't even hear it. The only thing you can hear is the music it plays after the wash. 🙂
The machine is very good. It's not true that it's noisy and doesn't wash well.
I just bought it, so I can't comment on the "magic bubbles"—something inside is bubbling, and the foam appears earlier than with my old machine. It washes well—15 minutes, and three shirts and a pack of socks are done. Yes, very small items (small socks, handkerchiefs) can get onto the glass, but bags for small items are recommended everywhere. There was an odor during the first few washes.
Regarding jumping and grimacing, guys, you need to place the machine on a level floor, preferably leveled. And follow these simple rules: don't overload, don't underload, and don't expect a single item to be perfectly distributed throughout the drum.
I'm a salesperson at a home appliance store. Every day, I deal not only with washing machines but also with televisions and refrigerators. As a salesperson, I prefer Samsung washing machines with ECO Bubble. These machines are truly better than LG machines with 6MDD. It's not worth buying a washing machine with a direct inverter, because it may seem quiet for the first three years, but then it becomes a nightmare. There will be intense vibration, knocking, noise, and eventually, the shaft or clutch of the drum will break.
I'd rather buy a Samsung than an LG. Especially since they're the only ones with a ceramic heater, meaning I don't need to buy a separate water softener. I just need to run the drum cleaning mode every three months (if it has one). Or I could throw in a regular old towel and wash it with washing machine cleaner at a high temperature.
You, young man, are quite incompetent, because the ceramic heating element is just another marketing hoax. These heating elements "fail" just like regular ones. And you only get credit for another piece of advertising.
There is no ceramic, regular thermal paint also builds up and burns, it’s just marketing.
We've been using a Samsung 9 kg ECO washer for four months now, after two Bosch 6 kg washer-dryers. The drum is the same size as the Bosch's. You can't fit any more. But I liked that pressing the Stop button immediately unlocks the door, which is very convenient for adding forgotten items. The Bosch, by contrast, seemed to unlock it within three minutes. It washes just as well. There's no rubber smell (made in Turkey). It's noticeably louder than the Bosch, though. We don't yet know about the Samsung's quality, but the first Bosch (made in Germany) lasted 12 years without a single repair. I washed even small rugs until it became obsolete. The second Bosch is in its third year of trouble-free operation.
Overall, it's a fantastic machine 🙂 It washes well and spins even better. We're happy with the purchase!
We bought a Samsung Eco Bubble washing machine. We've washed it about 10 times and haven't found any issues. It doesn't bounce or even move. It washes well. It spins perfectly. It's quiet. We haven't noticed any odors. The laundry is always clean and smells nice after using detergent and fabric softener.
We've been using this washing machine for three years now. The ceramic heater was the deciding factor when we bought it. I wasn't obsessed with the bubbles. It washes great! It's not unbearably noisy! My favorite activity is washing at night. And everyone sleeps soundly. The doors to all the rooms are always open—the cat and dog hate closed doors. The main thing is to level the machine and not overload it! It also notifies me when the drum needs cleaning. The only downside for me is the 15-minute quick wash at 20 degrees. I can't psychologically accept that.
15 minutes is in cold water and if you don't select any other options. Select 40 degrees, add an extra rinse, and it'll be 40 minutes.
I'm very disappointed. My faith in Samsung has been shaken. The design is great, it doesn't jump or bounce, and it's quiet, but it washes crap. It just spins wet clothes with foam and that's it. After washing, it leaves streaks, and the clothes smell strongly of detergent. We don't use powder, but an expensive gel; we didn't have these problems with our previous Samsung without EcoBubble. We keep adding water. Sometimes we have to rewash. We decided to buy a different one. The machine's job is to save water, and that's it! It takes a bucket of water for the entire wash. And for me, it's important that it removes not only dirt but also detergent, so I can sleep on sheets without chemical odors.
The machine is set up to save water. If you don't need it, choose the intensive soak and extra rinse options. If you need more water, there's a rinse and spin mode. It fills half the drum with water.
The machine is wonderful. It washes well. It doesn't smell like rubber and doesn't bounce.
You don't smell like rubber because you use chemical detergents! We get hypoallergenic, odorless detergent from Finland! And the washing machine is just awful! It leaves clothes smelling like rubber! Take care of your health and get rid of this toxic washing machine as soon as possible! That's what we did.
I've read both good and bad reviews about the Eco babble washing machine; I bought it six months ago, and I don't see any downsides. It removes any stains perfectly, from both children's and adults' clothes, and rinses well. It also spins well. As for the rattling and bouncing noise, read the installation instructions carefully. You just need to unscrew the anchor bolts, calibrate the drum, and everything will be fine.
This Samsung washing machine is excellent. We haven't used it for long, only about 10-15 washes. It washes perfectly, clothes come out beautifully, and it spins well—we take them out almost dry. No streaks or traces of detergent. It smells great. It sits perfectly still, practically silent, and we even peek into the bathroom to check if it's working. When we bought a more expensive washing powder, everything was perfect. We were choosing between Samsung and Bosch, and so far we have no regrets.
We have a Samsung WF0707WJW. It's been washing flawlessly for several years. It's funny to read the angry reviews about the rubber smell, vibration, and poor washing results. The WW60J5213JW is a wonderful machine. This article was obviously written by competitors.
It has been washing normally for more than 4 years.
It washes better than the previous one, Indisit.
I don't see any bubbles! The laundry doesn't wash well. In general, all machines start washing poorly over time. Whites come out gray. The machine itself is a bit noisy, especially the pump.
Add more powder; I recommend Persil. And you'll have tons of foam.
I've had a Samsung ECO Bubble WF1602 for five years now, and I have nothing bad to say about it. It washes perfectly, doesn't make noise, and doesn't jump around. The ECO function works as expected.
The machine washes beautifully. It's very quiet. After the Atlant, I washed whites—Earth and Sky. The Samsung machine works perfectly.
How much detergent do you put in the dispenser for 6 kg of laundry? I use Persil; the packaging says to use 500 grams or more for heavily soiled laundry. I used the same detergent on my Zanussi, using a glass, and it didn't even pick up the detergent well, leaving streaks on the black clothes.
I bought it a month ago and it really doesn't wash well. It doesn't smell like rubber, but the clothes were dirty. I just loaded it up, adding detergent with each fill, and we'll see what happens...
The more expensive the detergent, the better the washing results. I only wash whites with Ariel or Persil.
I have a 6.5 kg Samsung with an Ecobubble. I bought it in 2019 or even 2018, I can't remember exactly. I'm reading this article because I wanted to know if I needed to clean this Ecobubble somehow. There's so much crap out there. I realized it's perfect! It really does wash perfectly in an hour on a daily wash. The notion that there isn't enough water is complete nonsense! It's quiet—that's a fact. If someone's machine is shaking (a man, a woman talking to you), level the machine and tighten the feet properly. I wash Persil, Losk, and Ariel.
