Typically, the notification is triggered once a month, but this is only an approximate frequency. Everything depends on how often and how actively you use your washing machine.

Also, when the alert is turned on, clean the debris filter, otherwise the Eco cleaning program will not work effectively enough.

How to run a function?

Once you've verified that everything is in order and you're ready to clean the drum, follow these steps:

• First, turn on the machine itself. For a Samsung washing machine, press the "Power" button;
• using the “Mode switch” wheel, select the Eco cleaning mode, this is the division on the far right;
• When using this function, you do not need to select the temperature, as the program will do it automatically; the drum is cleaned at 70 degrees;
• To activate the mode, start it by pressing the "Start/Pause" button.

Using the Eco Wash mode is simple. Just follow safety precautions and set the correct parameters. Then, just wait for the program to do its job.

Chemicals for interior cleaning

For more effective drum cleaning, you can clean the drum yourself using specialized chemicals. However, when choosing these, it's important to remember that they must be completely safe for you and not have a harmful effect on the machine's components. Most importantly, they must be effective in removing limescale, mold, and dirt.

2. Schnell Entkalker. This is also a German-made product, but it comes in powder form in 200-gram packets. It's not designed for limescale removal, but rather for removing various levels of limescale deposits from the internal components of a washing machine.
3. Antikalk for Washing Machines by Sano is a gel-based antibacterial product. It's made in Israel and isn't designed to remove any serious stains. It's intended for preventative maintenance and cleaning the drum of light deposits.
4. Magic Power. This German gel/powder is designed to clean not only the drum, but also the heating element and tank. It also removes limescale.
5. This product is for comprehensive care of your machine's parts; it's not designed to remove heavy stains. It can be used as a descaler and to eliminate unpleasant odors caused by scale.
6. Filtero 601. This German-made product is available in 200-gram sachets for single use. Designed for very intensive cleaning, which should be carried out once a quarter. Removes scale from heating elements and other machine parts.
7. Doctor TEN and Antinakipin are products produced by Russian and Belarusian manufacturers. They are relatively affordable options for descaling. However, they are suitable for absolutely any surface and appliance, not just washing machines or dishwashers.
