LG Washing Machine Warranty

LG Smart TV WarrantyAn LG washing machine will always help keep clothes and household items clean and tidy. When purchasing such a machine, the owner receives all the necessary documentation, including a registration certificate, user manual, sales receipt, cash register receipt, and a manufacturer's warranty card. This card is crucial, as it guarantees trouble-free operation for the duration of the LG washing machine's warranty. If the machine does break down during this period, the owner has every right to insist on free repairs, replacement of the appliance, or replacement of the defective component.

Warranty nuances

In addition to the traditional one-year warranty, LG offers additional commitments, ensuring free repairs for two years. These periods do not accumulate. The full period of free repairs lasts two years, provided the owner complies with certain rules.

Warranty repairs are free repairs or replacements of components found to be defective by the manufacturer, up to and including replacement of the entire device, carried out during the warranty period.

Such repairs are only possible if the owner has followed all the rules for the use, transportation and storage of the equipment. Free service is an additional option for repair and replacement of defective components offered by the manufacturer.

What does the warranty cover?

warranty cardWhen receiving your warranty card, we recommend carefully reviewing the terms and conditions. It's important to note that any manufacturer will only provide warranty repairs if a manufacturing defect is discovered. The owner has the right to request free repairs if the appliance is not functioning properly, such as leaking, not wringing clothes or other textiles sufficiently, or making excessive noise during operation.

If the user reports a malfunction during the warranty period, authorized service center representatives will conduct the necessary tests to ensure that the manufacturer, and not the owner, is at fault. LG typically provides a warranty on the motor and control system. These components can often be found to have a manufacturing defect. This can occur due to the fault of the worker assembling the unit or manufacturing the component, or due to a machine malfunction on the production line.

When does the warranty expire?

Warranties guarantee free repair or replacement of any manufacturing defect discovered during the warranty period. Please note that the warranty is valid only if all its terms are met. For example, a washing machine must be installed by a certified professional.

If you install the device yourself or have someone else install it, the warranty will be void. However, if everything is done according to the instructions and a defect occurs during installation of a unit covered by the warranty, the owner will not be responsible for any installation or repair costs. The buyer loses the right to free repairs during the warranty period in the following cases:

  • the machine is connected to the power supply via extension;washing machine repair
  • the unit was used to wash items not intended for this purpose;
  • the owner began to repair the device himself;
  • the warranty card is filled out incorrectly;
  • the unit was infected with a virus from the Internet;
  • in the event of force majeure circumstances (fire, flood, other natural disaster);
  • the owner used technology to engage in business;
  • the provisions establishing the procedure for the use, transportation and storage of the device were violated.

The manufacturer's warranty in the Russian Federation applies to household appliances imported into the Russian Federation through official channels and certified to comply with Russian standards. To avoid becoming the owner of an unlicensed device, it is recommended to take a close look at LG's distinctive markings. For example, all official units are equipped with a special EAC or RST symbol (the latter is placed on devices manufactured in previous years).

Make sure that the label with the name and serial number of the device is not damaged, otherwise the manufacturer has the right to refuse to fulfill warranty obligations.

If the appliance you purchased requires professional installation, contact an authorized service center that provides such services. Be sure to check for documents confirming the authority of both the organization and the technician performing the installation. The technician performing the connection is responsible for the quality of their work. Keep in mind that proper connection affects the lifespan of the unit and the fulfillment of warranty obligations. Ensure that the technician completes the warranty card accurately and completely.

Repairs required

Understanding the warranty period, any home appliance owner can request its fulfillment if they have complied with all the terms and conditions. If a malfunction is detected during the warranty period, the owner should contact an authorized LG service center. Afterward, the service center will verify the warranty agreement and receipt are available. If these documents are missing, the company may refuse to honor the warranty and offer to repair the appliance for a fee.

If your washing machine breaks down and is under warranty, it's best to review the warranty terms and conditions carefully before calling a repairman. The manufacturer typically describes all situations and malfunctions covered by warranty repairs in the warranty card. Service representatives often misinform customers, either intentionally or through ignorance. To avoid this, carefully review the information provided by the manufacturer.
