Warranty for AEG washing machines
When you purchase a washing machine, you receive a mandatory warranty card along with the technical documentation. It allows you to service the machine free of charge for a certain period after purchase. However, it's important to know how to use the AEG washing machine warranty: you need to know exactly what the manufacturer's warranty period is and when it expires.
Duration and application of the guarantee
Every washing machine comes with a warranty card. When purchasing a washing machine, carefully check that this card is filled out correctly. It must contain the store seal, the signature of the manager/salesperson, the purchase date, and the serial number of the equipment. For the AEG brand machine, the warranty period is exactly one year.
Why are these details so important? If they forget to include the appliance's purchase date on the receipt, the service center will count the warranty period from the washing machine's production date. Imagine how much time a washing machine spends in the store from the moment it's manufactured, and you'll understand that this could mean missing out on free service altogether.
Important! The latest generation of AEG washing machines, manufactured after April 2013, are equipped with inverter motors. They come with a separate 10-year warranty.
The one-year warranty is only valid if you use the appliance for its intended purpose—for washing clothes. However, if you purchased the machine for commercial purposes and it's used as professional equipment (for example, for cleaning staff uniforms), the manufacturer reserves the right to void the warranty. Other reasons why warranty repairs may be denied include:
- damage to equipment of a chemical or mechanical nature (including when attempting to repair it yourself);
- damage to the SMA as a result of non-compliance with transportation rules;
- using detergents not intended for washing instead of washing powder/gel;
- repair of the unit in a private, unauthorized workshop;
- interference with the design, violation of the external integrity of the device;
- violation of operating and storage rules (for example, keeping in conditions of high humidity).
The warranty will also be revoked if the washing machine breaks down due to a natural disaster. You should also ensure that no foreign objects get inside the machine. To avoid warranty denial, be sure to read the instructions before installing and using the washing machine for the first time.
What if the machine breaks down?
You can learn more about free repairs and service conditions on the official AEG brand website. There you can also contact the company manager via several communication channels: telephone, email, social networks Instagram And Facebook, or by filling out the feedback form on the website. After diagnosing your machine, AEG service technicians will determine the cause of the malfunction. Depending on the inspection results, there are three possible outcomes.
- Warranty repairs are not possible due to a manufacturing defect. In this case, the product itself will simply be replaced.
- One part is out of order - a routine repair at the AEG service center is sufficient.
- If the breakdown is due to the consumer's fault, service will be denied.

If a malfunction occurs, contact only authorized service centers. Here, in addition to repairs, you can purchase accessories for your washing machine model. Service center addresses are easy to find; simply visit the AEG website and enter your city. A detailed list is also regularly updated on the Electrolux website (AEG is part of the Electrolux Group brand portfolio). For other questions related to repair and maintenance, call the hotline at 8 (800) 200-35-89.
What should the coupon look like?
Follow the operating and maintenance instructions, and you won't have any warranty issues. It's also important to have a properly completed receipt. It usually appears as a small blue, black, or red booklet that indicates the washing machine's serial number and model (usually a special sticker is included), as well as the place and time of purchase.
A seal and signatures from both the seller and the consumer are required. Warranty terms and conditions are listed separately in the document, and if they are violated, free repairs are simply denied.
