Indesit Washing Machine Warranty

Indesit Washing Machine WarrantyWhen purchasing a washing machine in a store, along with the manufacturer's manual and other documentation, the buyer also receives a warranty card. This small document entitles the buyer to free service for a certain period of time after the purchase. To take advantage of the warranty on your Indesit washing machine, it's important to know how long the warranty lasts and when it expires. It's best to take advantage of the free repair option and understand its nuances.

Warranty duration

The warranty covers free repair services for the equipment. This means that within a specified period, the buyer has the right to request that the store replace the purchased machine or fix any problems that arise. The company guarantees the client that his money will not be wasted. And the longer such a “delay” is offered, the better the quality of the product and the greater the desire to purchase it.

Indesit washing machines come with a one-year warranty. This is standard for large household appliances, so you don't have to worry about repairs. The key is to stay within the warranty period and comply with all formalities.

Indesit washing machines come with a 12-month warranty.

Is the coupon filled out correctly?

The manufacturer's warranty period doesn't matter. The key is that the accompanying coupon is filled out correctly and the warranty terms are met. In the first case, it's important to provide the original "warranty card"—a small booklet in black, blue, or red. It must contain the following information:

  • serial number and model of the purchased machine (previously they wrote the data in with a pen, now they put a sticker on it);
  • date of purchase;
  • store information;
  • seal;
  • signatures of the seller and the buyer.

After checking the receipt, store employees check to see if the owner has violated the warranty terms. These terms are listed separately in the warranty card, and if the seller finds any violations, the free repair will be denied. There are several reasons for this denial:An example of filling out a warranty card

  • the breakdown was caused by careless handling by the user, improper transportation and installation (a clear example is washing with the transport bolts not removed);
  • the washing machine was not used according to the manufacturer's instructions (for example, in high humidity conditions);
  • The factory markings - the sticker with the serial number - were removed from the body;
  • force majeure occurred (fire, power surges, natural disaster);
  • mechanical damage is visible.

Consumables required for repairs and transportation costs are not included in the warranty.

You can also say "goodbye" to the warranty if you attempted to repair the device yourself or hired technicians from service centers not included in the warranty list. Remember that for 12 months you cannot contact third-party workshops - only call "your" specialists, as specified in the coupon.

You can only hope for free help in two cases:

  • in case of a manufacturing defect (when the equipment initially had a defect);
  • if the equipment is not working properly (a leak is detected, the spin speed does not match the stated one, extraneous sounds are heard).

It turns out that earning a warranty repair is easy. You just need to ensure the form is filled out correctly, carefully inspect the machine before purchase, and adhere to the operating instructions. Don't try to "self-medicate" either: it's better to invite technicians from authorized service centers for installation and diagnostics.

Is a paid warranty required?

In addition to the standard warranty, Indesit also offers an extended warranty. This is a paid program that allows you to extend your warranty for an additional year. This option provides the buyer with a range of services:

  • consultation with specialists on the operation and maintenance of purchased equipment (including the selection of care products);
  • a comprehensive inspection of the machine at a service center upon request (delivery is free if the buyer is within the boundaries of a certain city);
  • assistance in troubleshooting using original spare parts.

The right to an extended warranty is proven by a special certificate. It's important to ensure that the paid extended warranty period begins after the end of the original warranty period. Otherwise, the purchase is pointless.

How to exercise the right to free repairs?

Taking advantage of free repairs is easy: prepare the coupon and documents for your washing machine, call your service center, and wait for a technician to arrive. Don't forget to check his documents and evaluate the quality of the work done. It is better to start the washing machine in front of the repairman and make sure that the machine is working properly.

If the mechanic suspects an unwarranted issue, the matter will have to be resolved with an expert assessment. However, you should only agree to this procedure if you are confident that the car is being used properly. Otherwise, the buyer will be charged a considerable fee.
