Because of this, the "Hygiene" mode in the Haier washing machine is practically unexplained, making it difficult for beginners to understand how it works and what it's for. Unfortunately, it's rarely used, even though it can significantly improve a homemaker's life. We'll explain how exactly it can do just that.
Mode characteristics in the instructions
Without the instructions at hand, it is really difficult to understand how to use this mode, although in fact there is nothing complicated about it. In some washing machines of other brands, it is also called “extra rinse” or “super rinse”, since its main purpose is the final removal of detergents and other allergens from clothes after washing. This is especially important for baby clothes, which must be sterile, as well as for allergy sufferers who cannot tolerate household chemicals.
The wash time on this program in Haier's "home assistant" is typically around 30 minutes, with water heating up to 90 degrees Celsius. At the end of the cycle, all clothes, up to a maximum load weight of 3 kilograms, will be spun at 1000 rpm. The manufacturer recommends using this program for cotton items.
Thus, the "Hygiene" mode was created to kill all allergens that can ruin the lives of young mothers and people suffering from allergies to washing powders, gels, and other detergents.

But this feature isn't the only reason people choose Haier products. Each Haier washing machine features over ten different wash programs, suitable for every occasion. The most common and frequently used programs include the following.
- Cotton. This is the most popular washing mode, suitable for cotton garments. The user can load up to 6 kilograms of laundry and select a water temperature of up to 90 degrees Celsius (194 degrees Fahrenheit), with the initial setting being 30 degrees Celsius (86 degrees Fahrenheit). The drum spin speed is 1000 rpm. The average wash time with this mode is approximately two hours.
- Mixed Fabrics. This cycle is for lightly soiled cotton and synthetics. The preset temperature is also 30 degrees Celsius, with the option to increase it to 60 degrees Celsius. The half-load cycle handles up to 3 kilograms of dirty laundry at a time. The spin cycle is also at maximum speed – 1000 rpm.
- Synthetics. This function is exclusively for synthetic items. The load capacity is also limited to 3 kilograms per cycle, the spin speed is 1000 rpm, and the maximum available water temperature is 60 degrees Celsius (with a preset temperature of 30 degrees Celsius).
- Children's clothing. This program is ideal for washing up to 3 kilograms of baby clothing, as all items undergo a long wash in the hottest water possible. The high liquid content, initially heated to 40 degrees Celsius (which can be increased to 90 degrees Celsius), helps completely remove detergent from the fabric fibers.
Due to such a comprehensive treatment of items with the removal of all possible allergens, the "children's mode" is also suitable for allergy sufferers.
- Bedding. This function removes heavy stains from bedding and towels. It operates at a temperature of 40 degrees Celsius, with the option to heat up to 60 degrees Celsius. Due to the large size of bedding, it can effectively wash only 1.5 kilograms of items at a time.
- Wool. Another program for a single wash of just 1.5 kilograms of dirty laundry. It cleans wool items without distortion. This is achieved by using a low spin cycle and a low water temperature—just 40 degrees Celsius, with no option for higher temperatures.
- Delicate. This function is specifically designed for delicate fabrics such as viscose, silk, lace, and others. This cycle rotates the drum very smoothly, spins clothes slowly, and uses washing liquid heated to only 30 degrees Celsius. It can wash up to 1.5 kilograms of items at a time.
- Refresh. This feature removes mustiness from items that have been sitting in the laundry basket for too long, or have been hanging for too long after washing and have become overdried, in just 20 minutes. It's also great for restoring the shape of delicate garments, and it makes it easy to prepare freshly purchased items for wearing. This feature only allows you to treat 1 kilogram of clothing at a time.
This cycle is not recommended for use on fur and wool.
- Quick 15-minute cycle. Another cycle for 1 kilogram of laundry, allowing you to quickly "revitalize" your favorite items. It runs at 40 degrees Celsius, and after the main cycle, a spin is started at 1000 rpm.
- Spin. This feature helps you squeeze out extra wring after the main cycle if you're not satisfied with the standard spin. This feature can spin up to 6 kilograms of clothes at once.
- Drum Clean. This highly useful self-cleaning mode for your "home assistant" can clean the drum, pipes, drain filter, and detergent drawer. This mode heats the water to its maximum temperature of 90 degrees Celsius.
As you can see, when purchasing Haier appliances, you will always have plenty to choose from. The manufacturer has taken great care to ensure that its equipment is capable of removing all types of stains from any type of clothing. The main thing is to choose the right program.

Change your detergent. My Synergetic washes everything perfectly. It's just annoying that I can't finish the drying cycle even though the laundry is already dry, and there's still half an hour left in the cycle. The damn thing won't open the machine. It needs to finish the full cycle.
The cotton cycle takes 4.5 hours to wash! That's awful...
Due to a power surge, my Candy stopped spinning after 18.5 years. We decided to replace the old girl. We got a Haier and use Sarma detergent. It cleans everything!

In 2022, I replaced almost all my appliances: the refrigerator, the TV, the washing machine. Only the refrigerator is OK. I agree with the washing machine that it doesn't clean well. I have to soak the laundry and turn on the extra rinse cycle.

It washes beautifully, don't be silly, choose a quality powder and pre-treat difficult stains.
