Instructions for the Indesit WISL 82 washing machine
The operating instructions are the first aid for a new washing machine owner. Before using your "home assistant," it's essential to read them carefully. However, some washing machine instructions are simply impossible to read. They're either translated too roughly, or they're overloaded with information, so essential information gets lost. We've decided to rewrite the operating instructions for this brand's washing machine, simply to make them easier to understand. We hope this helps.
We will install it correctly
So, the new Indesit WISL 82 washing machine has arrived, let's open the packaging. Try to open the box carefully, in case the washing machine is faulty. The more carefully you open the box, the easier it will be to repack the machine. Next, follow these steps:
Inspect the washing machine body for scratches, dents, and other damage. Open the door and inspect the large rubber seal. Check the detergent drawer for damage, both externally and internally.
Inspect the control panel. The program selector and buttons should be intact. If any damage is detected, notify the seller immediately.
On the back of the machine, around the service hatch, locate the four shipping bolts and carefully remove them. Seal the resulting holes with plugs.
Don't lose the shipping bolts. You may need them if you need to transport the machine yourself in the future.
Now you need to find a suitable location to install the washing machine. The operating instructions for this brand of washing machine indicate that the location must be suitable. What does this mean?
The base under the body of the Indesit WISL 82 washing machine must be as strong as possible. So the floor needs to be reinforced before installation.
The walls of the case should not touch other interior items (the gap should be at least 1 cm).
The connection points of the washing machine to the water supply, sewerage system and electrical network must be in close proximity to the body (ideally 1-1.5 meters).
Once you've prepared a suitable location, you can begin installation. Learn more about how this is done. Installing and connecting a washing machine yourselfYou can read about this in the article of the same name previously published on our website. If you have any difficulties connecting the machine, consult a professional.
After connecting your "home assistant," run one wash cycle correctly. This is essential to clean the insides of the machine of machine oil and possibly any debris that may have gotten into the interior during assembly. How do you do this?
Open the powder compartment and pour some washing powder into the middle compartment.
Close the powder compartment and then use the program selector knob to set any long cycle at a temperature close to boiling—90 degrees Celsius. Do not add laundry to the drum during this time.
We wait until the wash is finished and that’s it, the machine is ready for normal use.
Where and how to pour detergents?
If you care about the quality of your laundry, learn not only how to properly dose detergent but also how to distribute it inside the detergent drawer. If you open the detergent drawer, you'll see three main compartments and one additional compartment that can be added as needed. We'll count the compartments from left to right.
The first compartment, located on the left side, is for prewash. If the program you select doesn't include a prewash, you don't need to add detergent.
The second compartment, located in the middle, is for the main wash. This is where we pour in powder or liquid detergent in all cases.
The third compartment, which is located on the right side, is needed to pour fabric softener and other similar additives into it.
The fourth compartment is installed directly inside compartment No. 1 and is needed if you are going to use bleach during washing.
Remember! Harsh bleaches can damage fabric.
Don't use too much detergent. This will contaminate the detergent drawer and clog the washing machine's pipes. The Indesit WISL 82 manual prohibits the use of hand washing detergent. This is common knowledge. However, we would like to add that you should pay attention to the quality of the detergent. The better the powder dissolves and the less dust it produces, the better the wash it will provide.
If you need to run a prewash, make sure compartment 4 is removed. If you only need to run a bleach cycle, insert compartment 4. There's a small container in the middle of this compartment where you should pour the bleach. After that, you can close the detergent drawer and start the cycle.
Programs and functions
The Indesit WISL 82 manual describes all the programs and functions supported by the machine. Each program is used in its own way, depending on the items loaded in the drum, how dirty they are, and other parameters. Let's look at these programs in turn.
Cotton, first mode at high temperature 900C. Wash heavily soiled white cotton laundry. The program starts with a prewash, then the main wash, then the rinse and spin cycle. Add detergent and fabric softener. The cycle takes 137 minutes.
Cotton, second setting at 900C. It differs from the first only in the lack of a pre-wash and the option to bleach, but otherwise everything is exactly the same. The processing time is 120 minutes.
Cotton, third program at 600C. This program is more popular because it's used to wash white cotton or blended fabrics, as well as heavily and moderately soiled, colorfast items. The program includes a main wash, rinse, and spin cycle, and bleaching is optional. Fabric softener can be added. The wash cycle takes 105 minutes.
Cotton, fourth program at 400C. Differs from the third cycle only in water temperature. However, this difference is significant, as this cycle can be used to wash even lightly soiled, fade-prone colored items. The cycle time is 72 minutes.
Cotton, fifth mode at 300C. A complete analogue of the fourth program. The only difference is the temperature and, consequently, the washing quality. The instructions recommend using this mode only for heavily faded colored items. The wash time is 65 minutes.
Synthetics, sixth program at 600With or at 400C. Here you can select the washing temperature. This mode includes a main wash with added detergent and fabric softener, a rinse, and a delicate spin. Suitable for washing heavily soiled synthetic clothing with durable colours. The implementation time is 77 minutes at sixty degrees and 62 minutes at forty degrees.
Synthetics, program seven at 500C. Main wash program, rinse, gentle spin. Add detergent and fabric softener. Wash heavily soiled, well-colored clothes. Duration: 73 minutes.
Synthetics, program eight at 400C. Similar to the previous one, the only difference is that it can only wash lightly soiled, but any colored synthetic clothing. The wash time is 58 minutes.
Please note: Each of the above synthetic laundry programs includes a Rinse Hold and Delicate Bleach function.
Synthetics, program nine at 300C. You can wash any colored clothing. The bleach function is not available. The wash cycle takes 30 minutes.
Wool, tenth at 400C. This program includes all the same wash steps with the option of a water hold. Wool or blended items can be washed. Fabric softener can be added. The wash cycle takes 50 minutes.
Delicate fabrics (silk, viscose, etc.), program 11 at 30 degrees. Similar to the previous program except for the wash and spin temperatures. Spinning is not possible on this program.
In addition to the aforementioned wash programs, the Indesit WISL 82 washing machine also includes partial programs that can be activated as needed. These include rinse, delicate rinse, spin, delicate spin, and drain. You can also select one of the following options: bleach, easy iron, extra rinse, or no spin.
Other modes and starting the wash
Now that we've sorted out the programs, let's briefly explain how to start the wash cycle. First, press the "power" button (the large button with a vertical bar on it). If everything is OK, all the lights will light up and then go out. Only the light next to the "power" button will continue to blink. Next, follow these steps.
We load the pre-sorted laundry into the machine and close the door.
We turn the program selector and find the desired washing mode.
Turn the temperature selector and choose the desired temperature.
Open the powder compartment and add detergent and conditioner.
Press the Start/Reset button for 2 seconds and the wash will begin.
The Indesit WISL 82 features a special program that's traditionally a favorite among users: a 30-minute everyday wash. This program allows you to quickly refresh lightly soiled clothes without wasting time, energy, or water.
Don't forget to keep an eye on the machine.
When using your "home assistant," remember to monitor its technical condition so that an unexpected breakdown doesn't throw you off your usual routine in the future. First of all, close the tee valve after each wash to prevent wear and tear on the machine's plumbing system. Don't forget to wipe and wash the door seal and other rubber parts of your washing machine. Periodically remove and rinse the detergent drawer to prevent detergent residue from drying to its interior surfaces.
To prevent mold from forming inside your washing machine, don't close the door tightly after washing. At least once every six months, remove the bottom panel of the washing machine to clean the debris filter. It typically collects a large amount of dirt and small objects, from threads and lint to coins and paper clips. Inspect the inlet hose once a year. If you notice any cracks or leaks, replace it immediately.
So, we've tried to provide a quick overview of the most important information contained in the Indesit WISL 82 washing machine manual. If you need clarification, you can refer to the original instructions included with this publication. Good luck!
Good afternoon. I have the following problem with my Indesit wi82 washing machine. I set the wash cycle to 4, set the water temperature to 40 degrees Celsius, the door lock turns on, and water fills. Then, a little bit drains out and that's it. After 3-5 seconds, the wash cycle starts. But the program selector dial immediately starts turning. There are three dots on the dial: stop and reset. So, the dial turns, and the wash cycle starts. I turned off the power button, set it to reset, turned it on, and the same thing happened. Two stop resets don't turn off the cycle, but the top one works. The door indicator and power supply aren't blinking. What's the problem?
