Instructions for the Indesit IWSC 5105 washing machine

Indesit IWSC 5105 manualIndesit washing machines are among the most affordable on the Russian market, such as the Indesit IWSC 5105. While it may seem easy to operate, it's best to read the instructions before turning on your new appliance. We offer a short user manual.

How to connect?

After unpacking the washing machine, don't rush to plug it in or connect the hoses. Upon delivery, remove the shipping bolts that secure the moving parts. These bolts are located on the rear of the machine. Only then can you place the machine in its pre-prepared location, according to the following requirements:

  • leveled and reinforced floor;
  • absence of carpeting and moisture-resistant coverings;

    It is preferable to install the machine on a tiled or concrete floor; it is also possible to place the equipment on a wooden floor, but only if it is reinforced.

  • availability of water supply, sewerage and electrical outlet within 1-1.2 m;
  • There should be enough space for the machine so that the back and side walls are not touched by objects, and the hatch can open freely.

Connecting the washing machine to the water supply will not take much time if you have previously installedtee tap Or a separate water supply pipe is connected. All that's left to do is screw one end of the inlet hose to the 3/4" thread of the tee tap, making sure to include the O-ring. The other, bent end is screwed to the machine itself. There's no need to stretch the hose or extend it; in that case, you'll need to purchase a longer hose.

Waste water can be drained through a siphon or through the bathtub by securing the end of the drain hose to the edge with a special latch. However, it would be more correct and safer to drain the water through a siphon. To do this, the siphon must have a branch to which the drain hose can be secured with a clamp.

The top drain point is fixed at a distance of at least 65 cm and no more than 100 cm from the floor to prevent self-draining.

When it comes to connecting to electricity, you need to follow a number of safety regulations. It's best to hire a professional to install a wire with a minimum cross-section of 1.5 mm2 and install a moisture-resistant outlet. The Indesit IWSC 5105 washing machine manual doesn't cover this process in detail, but if you're interested, read the article. Connecting the washing machine to the electricity.

Control panel features

Washing machines from the same brand come in different models, which means they differ from each other. The main differences lie in the control panel, program variety, and drum loading. The Indesit IWSC 5105 has a mechanical control panel with three selector dials and six buttons.Indesit 5105 control panel

The largest dial (on the left) is used to select programs. The other two adjust the water temperature from 20 to 90 degrees Celsius and the spin speed from 400 to 1000 rpm. The ON/OFF button turns the machine on and off, and the Start/Pause button starts and stops the washing program. The remaining four buttons are used to select additional functions (from left to right):

  1. EcoTime – a feature that reduces washing time, saving water and energy. Recommended for lightly soiled items.
  2. Bleaching is a wash cycle for white items using a special bleaching agent, but one that does not contain chlorine.
  3. Extra Rinse. This feature is especially useful for those with sensitive skin and allergies. Not available with the Express 15-Minute Wash cycle.
  4. Start Delay – the ability to delay the start of a program for up to 12 hours. The time is selected by repeatedly pressing the button in the direction of decreasing time. Can be used with any program.

To the left of the control panel is the detergent drawer, which displays the wash programs. The drawer itself has three fixed compartments: the left one is used for pre-wash, and the center one for the main wash. The right compartment is used for fabric softener; some washers don't use this compartment, so they skip adding fabric softener. This model also has a "mobile" compartment that fits into the left compartment and is used for bleach.

In addition, the control panel is equipped with indicators that indicate what stage the wash is at and what function is selected.

The illuminated lock indicator notifies you that the drum door is locked. It can remain lit for up to 3 minutes before it is unlocked. Therefore, do not pull the door prematurely, as you may break the lock.
