Instructions for the Indesit WISL 103 washing machine

Indesit WISL 103 instructionsIf you urgently need a manual for your Indesit WISL 103 washing machine, you've come to the right place. Here you'll find not only the original manufacturer's document, available for download, but also a customized version, which we've translated especially for you.

Installation Tips

The operating instructions for this brand's washing machine describe the installation and connection process of your "home helper" in considerable detail. Each step is illustrated with clear diagrams, so we won't rewrite these instructions. Instead, we'll add a list of tips from experts. These tips will be a wonderful addition, helping you install the machine without errors.

  1. Don't rush to unscrew the transport bolts or remove the hoses from their mountings before you set your "home helper" down. This will make it easier to move from place to place.
  2. Securely reinforce the base of the washing machine. If you have a wooden floor, place additional joists underneath where the washing machine will be installed. Ideally, it would be better to pour a concrete base under the flooring and level the floor surface as much as possible.
  3. Remove floor coverings that are unsuitable for installing a washing machine: regular (not moisture-resistant) laminate, carpet, rugs, woven runners, etc.

Leveling and strengthening the floor will double the lifespan of your washing machine. It will also operate significantly quieter, even when spinning at high speeds.

align the machine body

  1. If the floor isn't perfectly level and there are obvious differences in level, don't worry—you can level the machine by adjusting the feet. To do this, place a spirit level on the top of the machine and alternately adjust the feet until the washing machine is level.
  2. Install a tee valve on the cold water outlet where the machine will be installed. This will create a connection point to which you only need to attach the inlet hose.
  3. Install a trap with a side outlet for connecting the drain hose. If there is no sink near the machine, but there is a sewer pipe outlet, make a cut-in and install a tee. Generally, How to connect a washing machine drain hose to the sewerWe've already told you about this, so we won't repeat ourselves.
  4. Pay special attention to the new outlet for your washing machine. This has been discussed extensively before, and we'll say it again: don't connect your washing machine to an outlet shared with other appliances, let alone use an extension cord. A washing machine is a major consumer and requires its own dedicated, circuit-protected, moisture-resistant outlet. If you can also install grounding, that would be fantastic!
  5. The distance between the washing machine's connection points and various utilities should not exceed 1 meter. This is especially true for the sewer system. The longer the drain hose, the sooner the pump will fail.
  6. Before connecting the machine to the water supply, ensure the water pressure is sufficient. If you can't get a full glass of water within 6 seconds of opening the cold water tap, the water pressure is insufficient to power the Indesit WISL 103 washing machine.

Buttons, knobs, indicators

The Indesit WISL 103 control panel features three large rotary knobs, each with its own crucial function. Stand facing the washing machine and pay attention to the knob on the far right. It allows you to select any wash program from the list provided in the instructions or on the detergent drawer lid. Each program is assigned a number. To select a particular program, simply turn the knob.

To the left of the program selector is the thermostat knob. It allows you to easily set the water temperature for your laundry. The leftmost knob is used to adjust the spin speed. You can select "no spin," or 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, or 1000 rpm.

Above the switches are six buttons. The one on the far right turns the machine on and off. The second from the right is the stop/start button. The third from the right is the extra rinse cycle. The fourth from the right is the easy iron cycle. The fifth from the right is the bleach cycle. And finally, the sixth is the delayed start cycle.

By the way! You can delay the start of the washing program on the Indesit WISL 103 by up to 9 hours.

The control panel of this brand's washing machine also has indicators. Some of them indicate the program's progress, while others indicate the activation of a particular function. In any case, it's important to pay attention to them.

Approximately 1/3 of the Indesit WISL 103 washing machine's control panel is taken up by the detergent drawer. This is a special, relatively small pull-out drawer where you place your detergent before washing. It contains:powder receiver Indesit WISL 103

  • washing powder;
  • air conditioner;
  • starch;
  • salt;
  • liquid detergent;
  • bleach, etc.

The detergent drawer is divided into three sections. Pull it out and examine it. The middle section is reserved for the main wash and is the one you'll use most often. The other sections are optional. The left section is for soak programs, and the right section can be used to add fabric softener. Sometimes you need to use the "bleach" mode, and users often ask which section to put the bleach in. As you can see in the picture, bleach requires a special section, which fits into the far left section of the detergent drawer.

We start the washing process

Once everything is installed and connected correctly, starting to wash with the Indesit WISL 103 washing machine is easy. First, press the large button located just above the program selector. Sort the laundry and load the first batch into the machine. Use the program selector to select the desired wash cycle. Then, use the remaining knobs to set the water temperature and spin speed. Open the detergent drawer and add the detergents needed to ensure a high-quality wash.

Next, press the button located from right to left, immediately behind the on/off button. All we have to do now is wait for our favorite "home helper" to finish washing and then unlock the door so we can retrieve our clean laundry.

Care Features

We wipe the machine after each wash.Maintain your Indesit WISL 103 washing machine regularly, especially since it doesn't require any special care, just minor maintenance. Wipe down any surfaces you can reach with a cloth, as excess moisture can cause mold and odors. Clean the debris and flow-through filters occasionally.

Often you don't need to access these filters, but you also shouldn't abandon them completely. It would be optimal if you clean the debris filter after 6 months of using your "home assistant", and the flow-through filter after a year.

Here's the instruction manual. Some may think it's too short, but it actually covers everything you need. If you need more information, download the manufacturer's manual. Good luck!

    Hello, why doesn't it switch from wash to rinse automatically and wait for 4 hours? Will it wash for 4 hours?

    I have the same problem. I can't figure it out. I set it to 30 minutes, but it lasted over 8 hours. I had to turn it off.
