How to use a Candy washing machine
Before using your new washing machine, be sure to check that it is properly connected to your home's utilities. The inlet hose is connected to the water supply, and the drain hose is connected to the sewer system. To start using your washing machine, connect it to the power supply. Then, turn on the Candy control panel and turn the program selector knob to the side. Follow the instructions for further operation.
Loading detergents
Experience shows that many housewives pour detergent directly onto clothes, directly into the washing machine drum, before washing. This method is not considered correct or efficient, as the detergent granules contain various concentrates that can not only damage or leave a mark on the fabric, but also completely ruin the garment. It's no wonder that household appliance manufacturers include a detergent drawer; it's essential for proper machine operation. The Candy washing machine's detergent drawer has several compartments:

- the compartment marked with the letter B or the Roman numeral II is intended for dry or liquid washing powder (main wash);
- the middle compartment, marked with the letter A or the Roman numeral I, is where you load the pre-wash powder;
- The small compartment marked with a flower or star is for fabric softener. Please note that you can add the product even during the wash cycle, but always before the rinsing cycle.
If you plan to use stain remover, bleach, or anti-scale agents, they must be added to the main wash compartment.
Don't mix up the compartments; improperly distributing detergents can lead to unsatisfactory washing results. For example, never pour bleach into the rinse aid compartment, as this will result in the clothes being rinsed with harsh detergent rather than just clean water.
Selecting a mode and other settings
Selecting the desired washing program on a Candy washing machine is easy – simply turn the program selector knob clockwise until the indicator reaches the desired program. Once the selector stops at the desired program, press the "Start/Stop" button. You can also adjust the preset program by changing the water temperature or spin speed. Let's explore the washing programs available on the Candy washing machine.
- A pair of drops with a plus sign on the left. This icon indicates the built-in "Aqua Plus" function, also known as double rinse. It helps thoroughly remove detergents used during the washing process, preventing allergic reactions to laundry detergents, bleaches, and stain removers in children and adults.
- Shirt with large stains. This symbol refers to the "Intensive Wash" cycle, which is designed to tackle tough, heavy stains. This program assumes the highest drum rotation speed and water heating to 90 degrees. Washing time: 2 hours 50 minutes.
- The dial with the triangle. This is the delayed start feature. This function allows you to set the start time of your wash cycle. The delay can be set for up to 24 hours. To use this mode, simply load the machine with laundry, fill the detergent dispenser, and set the time you want the machine to start.
- A basin and a spray from the shower head. This function is used for a single rinse of laundry. Enabling this mode will increase the main wash time by 30-40 minutes.
- A basin marked with the letter "P" indicates a pre-wash cycle, typically used for heavily soiled items, such as work clothes. After pre-washing, the Candy washing machine will automatically switch to the standard wash cycle.
- Three Balls of Wool. This program is designed for washing woolen items. The cycle lasts 55 minutes.
- A basin marked "32." A quick wash cycle with a maximum wash time of just 32 minutes.
- A cloud with a downward-pointing arrow. This function is designed for washing items made of dense natural fabrics, such as cotton and linen. To effectively wash these items, the machine will heat the water to 90 degrees Celsius. Total wash time ranges from 1 hour 10 minutes to 2 hours 50 minutes.
A brief overview of the machine's built-in functions will allow the user to quickly and accurately select the appropriate mode for each specific situation. This, in turn, will significantly improve the washing quality of items.
We put away the laundry correctly
Ensuring that the drum is loaded correctly is crucial for not only extending the life of your washing machine but also ensuring the safety of your laundry. A number of rules must be followed when using your washing machine.
At the beginning of the wash cycle, be sure to sort items by color, fabric type, and degree of soiling. Linen, cotton, wool, and synthetic fabrics should all be washed separately. Clothes with stubborn stains are best washed on the "Intensive" cycle, while lightly soiled items should be washed using the main or quick wash cycle.
Before loading laundry, check all pockets of clothing for any foreign objects that could damage the machine's drum. If items contain brooches, fur, or other jewelry, remove them before washing. It's also a good idea to fasten all buttons and zippers. Wash outerwear, knitwear, or terrycloth items inside out. This will preserve their appearance and prevent damage during the wash cycle.
Don't exceed the maximum load capacity of your washing machine. Doing so will overload the machine and reduce washing performance.
It's important to fill the detergent drawer with the correct dosages; don't overdo it with detergent or rinse aid. This won't make your clothes cleaner, but will actually lead to poor washing results. Place the laundry into the drum carefully, distributing it evenly. It is better to prevent things from getting lumped together, as this can cause the machine to stop.
Particular attention should be paid to calculating the weight of the laundry loaded into the drum. Correct calculations will not only ensure careful use of the machine, thereby extending its lifespan, but will also significantly improve washing efficiency. To make it easier for users to calculate the approximate weight of items, we provide information on the average weight of some items:
- sheet – about 0.5 kg;
- duvet cover – 0.7 kg;
- pillowcase – 0.2 kg;
- men's shirt - up to 0.3 kg;
- children's shirt - up to 0.2 kg;
- robe – about 0.5 kg;
- thin women's blouse - 0.1 kg;
- jeans – about 0.8 kg;
- terry towel – up to 0.7 kg;
- socks (1 pair) – about 0.06 kg;
- warm blanket – approximately 1.3 kg.
These values are averages, but it's entirely possible to calculate the approximate weight of items you can load into the machine. Even a half-kilogram error won't be as serious as a total overload.
Starting and ending the wash cycle
After loading the laundry, close the door tightly. Make sure the detergent dispenser is securely closed. Ensure the cold water supply to the machine is open. Use the wash cycle selector to select the desired cycle and press the "Start/Stop" button. The washing machine will begin washing. You don't need to monitor the process; the machine will alert you with a signal when the cycle is complete.

Once the process is complete, the door will remain locked for 1-2 minutes. Wait until it unlocks, remove clean laundry, and hang it to dry. To allow the Candy washing machine to dry, leave the door and detergent drawer open.
What to do if the machine does not start?
If your Candy washing machine just arrived from the store and won't start, there may be a malfunction. Don't worry too soon; first, check to see if the electrical outlet the washing machine is plugged into is working properly. If it does, be sure to call a service center. If you have a correctly completed warranty card, you have the full right to service repairs.
To avoid any issues with warranty repairs, never attempt to open the machine yourself. This will void the warranty. The only correct solution is to call a service technician. The service center's phone number can be found in the warranty card.
