How to use Haier washing machine?
Anyone who's ever used an automatic washing machine can easily handle a model from any other brand. Most washing machines operate according to a standard procedure. To start a wash, you load the laundry into the drum, pour detergent into the dispenser, select a mode, and press the "Start" button. However, each washing machine has its own unique features—unique options and functions—that can only be learned about by reading the manual. Let's explore how to use a Haier washing machine and what useful extras it offers.
Let's launch the program
Before starting your first wash, you need to open the user manual. The machine's instructions describe the main modes programmed into the "intelligence". It also explains how to properly connect and maintain the appliance. The procedure for using a Haier washing machine is standard:
- If the washing machine is new, it's important to run the first cycle with the drum empty but with detergent in the detergent drawer. This will flush the inside of the machine and remove any unpleasant factory odors.
- Be sure to study the labels on your clothes to determine the optimal washing parameters;

- After loading the items into the drum and pouring the powder into the tray, use the selector to select the appropriate program;
- If necessary, the buttons can be used to adjust the water heating temperature and spin speed.
When loading items into the drum, it is important not to exceed the maximum permissible load weight.
Always check pockets before loading clothes into the washing machine. Paper left in jeans can clog the dust filter, and keys or hairpins can damage the cuff.
Basic programs and their application
The first question that concerns all users concerns the available washing programs. Understanding the available modes allows you to select the ideal settings for cleaning different types of fabric.
A description of all washing programs is available in the Haier washing machine instructions.
Let's take a look at what programs are available in the arsenal of modern Haier appliances.
- "40`40°." This mode cuts the washing time in half—from 80 to 40 minutes. The drum rotates at a fairly high speed, and the water heats up to 40°C.
- "Delicate Wash." Suitable for delicate and shrink-resistant fabrics. The gentle drum rotation, minimal spin, and low temperature ensure gentle cleaning. This cycle draws in plenty of water, ensuring the detergent is completely rinsed from the fibers.
- "Children's Clothing." The main features of this program are a high temperature (from 60°C) and several rinse stages. This mode is ideal for washing clothes for allergy sufferers.

- "Dark Fabrics." This program features a generous amount of water and a slow spin cycle. This helps preserve the brightness of blacks. It's recommended to use special gels and conditioners for washing dark clothes.
- "Hand Wash." Suitable for cleaning particularly delicate fabrics, such as silk, viscose, and cashmere. The smooth drum rotation prevents deformation of the garment.
- "Wool." The name of the cycle speaks for itself. Special washing parameters prevent shrinkage and pilling of woolen items.
- "Down." This mode is available in Haier washing machines with load capacities of 9 kg or more. It's ideal for cleaning outerwear and other items filled with feathers and down.
- "Shirts." This mode may be indicated on the control panel by a text label or a corresponding icon. It removes heavy stains without damaging or wrinkling the fabric. It features a minimum spin speed and a low heat setting (30-40°C).
- "Fitness." This program is designed for cleaning sportswear made of cotton or synthetic fibers. Items are tumbled for an hour, with water heated to 40°C.
- "Eco 20°C" cycle. This cycle is suitable for lightly soiled items. This highly economical program reduces power consumption by 80% compared to standard cycles. It's recommended to use laundry gel, as it rinses out better with cold water.
Some modern Haier machines have a self-cleaning mode. It lasts two hours and performs a thorough cleaning of the drum, pipes, drain filter, and powder drawer. The water is heated to 70°C. As you can see, Haier automatic machines offer a wide range of features. You should select a washing program very carefully, based on the type of fabric and the intensity of the stain.
Popular speed modes
Almost all standard Haier programs last between 60 minutes and 3 hours. For some users, this is too long, and a long wash isn't always worth the time, energy, and water consumed. Therefore, several short wash cycles are built into the washing machine's intelligent software. The following express programs have the shortest wash cycle times:
- Mini. Suitable for washing lightly soiled cotton items. Water is heated to 30°C, with the option to adjust the temperature up to 90°C. At standard settings, the cycle lasts 39 minutes;
- Mini 14. In just 14 minutes, the washing machine can refresh laundry. However, it's important to load no more than 2 kg of clothes into the drum. Wash temperature: 30°C;
- Mix 40°C. Suitable for washing both natural and synthetic fabrics. Spinning is performed at a medium speed, and the water temperature is raised to 40°C.
Some Haier models feature a button on the dashboard for a seventeen-minute wash. This program is designed for lightly soiled laundry. Suitable for all fabric types, it will refresh your clothes and eliminate the unpleasant odor of stale clothing.
Useful additions
To use the machine to its full potential, you should familiarize yourself not only with the offered modes, but also with the additional functions. Special options programmed into the intelligence make the washing process easier and improve its quality. Haier machines can be equipped with several features—check the manual for details. Among the additional features of Haier appliances are the following:
- Lint removal. This function involves an increased number of rinse cycles;
- locking the instrument panel from unintentional pressing;
- This technology allows for more economical powder consumption. Detergent is used evenly throughout the entire wash cycle;

- imbalance control. This feature ensures that laundry is evenly distributed across the drum surface;
- Steam treatment. This prevents wrinkles and removes stubborn stains better.
Many Haier models have a half-load option, which allows you to wash a small amount of laundry faster and more economically.
Also worth noting is the innovative Wave-system drum of Haier washing machines. Its ribbed surface creates special waves inside, improving washing quality.

Washing machine repair

I recently bought this machine and am very happy with it. I'm learning how to use it; I had questions, watched videos, and, of course, I'm following the instructions.
It doesn't squeeze well.
I also noticed that it spins worse than the previous machine.
Does it squeeze poorly?
What are you talking about?
At 400 rpm it spins almost dry.
And at 1000-1200 rpm you take out slightly damp laundry!
It squeezes better than ever!
I bought a washing machine with a 7 kg capacity, and the clamp broke less than four months later. It turns out it wasn't a manufacturing defect. I'll have to pay for the repair myself. They explained it was due to improper use. Overall, it's a huge disappointment; in 25 years, none of the washing machines I've used have ever broken down... Horrible 🙁
Thank you very much, Anna, for your comment. It's reassuring.
It's a good machine. It washes and burns. You need to calculate it wisely, and you can turn it down, increase the spin speed, and increase the temperature. 1200 RPM is completely unnecessary. It'll tear the laundry apart.
Please tell me how to change the speed?
The machine doesn't spin well, it doesn't keep up with the wash cycle, and it doesn't complete the cycle within the specified time. It feels like it'll wash forever. You can't customize the wash cycle. Before this one, I had a Samsung, and it was a gem. I switched to the much-vaunted Haier and was very disappointed.
The Haier car has a one-year warranty. During that time, it was sent in for warranty repairs twice. Both times, for bearing repairs. Today, it was returned from the second repair.
