How to use a Hansa washing machine correctly?

How to use a Hansa washing machine correctlyLearning how to use a Hansa washing machine is easy – most modern appliances have similar controls. This is especially true if you've previously owned a front-loading or top-loading machine. You just need to review the basics, read the user manual, and keep in mind some brand features. Our detailed instructions will help you get to know your Hansa better. We'll cover how to turn on the machine, what programs it offers, and why the first start is important.

Putting Hans's technique into operation

After purchasing any household appliance, it's essential to reread the instructions included with it. This is mandatory even if you're installing your tenth washing machine. It's still a good idea to refresh your memory on the manufacturer's basic recommendations. The Hansa is no exception. Be sure to open the book and recall the nuances of installation and operation of the machine.

Before using your Hansa washing machine for the first time, please read the manufacturer's instructions for installation and operation of the machine.

The next step is to perform a technical start-up of the washing machine. It's too risky to wash clothes immediately in a newly purchased Hansa, as the internal parts are still coated with factory grease and dirt. It's also possible that a defective part was missed during assembly, causing the machine to stop mid-cycle, ruining the load. Therefore, first, run a "clean" cycle: empty the drum, add detergent, and activate a program with a heating temperature of 90 degrees Celsius. If the maintenance cycle is successful, you can proceed to a regular wash:

  • connect the washing machine to the power supply by plugging the cord into the socket;
  • load pre-sorted items into the drum;
  • check whether the loading standards (both minimum and maximum capacity) are met;
  • close the hatch tightly;
  • fill or pour in the detergent in the required dosage (remember that each compartment of the powder receptacle is designed for a separate type of concentrate);pour the powder into Hans' tray
  • turn on Hansa by pressing the corresponding button;
  • scroll the programmer to the desired position;
  • change the program's factory settings if required;
  • press the start button.

The washing machine will pause for a few seconds, then begin its work: locking the door, filling the drum, and starting the wash cycle. The cycle stages can be monitored using the indicator or display. In the latter case, Hansa will also notify the user of the remaining program time. Once the cycle is complete, the machine will beep. However, you won't be able to open the door immediately—the washing machine will spend another 2-3 minutes checking the system. Then the electronic lock will be released, and the laundry will be ready for pickup.

Be sure to study the programs

Knowing your Hansa washing machine's available modes will make it easier to use. Modern machines offer dozens of programs suitable for specific fabric types and colors. Once you understand them, washing your clothes will be easier: simply turn the dial to the desired position.

There won't be any problems with Hansa software. These machines typically have a standard set of the most popular and in-demand modes. Moreover, all positions around the selector are labeled or outlined, making them easy to identify.

  • Cotton. A special cycle for cleaning cotton items, such as bed linen, towels, shirts, and T-shirts. It offers optimal washing parameters for dense fabrics: a temperature of up to 90 degrees Celsius, an intensive spin, and a washing time of 1.5-2.5 hours.
  • Synthetics. The name says it all: this program washes items made of synthetic and blended fabrics. The cycle lasts up to 2 hours, with the spin set to maximum and the temperature set to no more than 60 degrees Celsius.
  • Delicates. Comparable to hand washing, this cycle features gentle drum rotation, generous water intake, minimal temperature, and no spin. Suitable for delicate fabrics such as silk, wool, microfiber, knitwear, lace, and satin. The cycle lasts about an hour.choosing a suitable program on Hansa
  • Pre-wash. Allows you to wash heavily soiled items before the main wash: after a preset time, the program automatically switches to standard mode. It's important to pour the detergent into the special dispenser compartment.
  • Express wash. This cycle provides accelerated cleaning of items in 15-45 minutes. The water is heated to a maximum of 40 degrees Celsius, but typically stays around 25-30 degrees Celsius. Suitable for additional rinsing or surface washing of lightly soiled laundry.

Hansa's express wash will give you clean clothes in just 15 minutes!

  • Intensive. Heating up to 95 degrees Celsius and spinning the drum for two hours cleans even heavily soiled items. It's important to use this cycle when washing fabrics that are resistant to heat and friction.
  • Children's. Designed specifically for cleaning children's clothes and accessories. High temperatures ensure effective stain removal and fabric disinfection, a double rinse removes all detergent from the fibers, and an intensive spin reduces drying time.
  • Sports. A separate program for washing sportswear and thermal underwear made of membrane, stretch, and biflex fabrics. Maintains the breathability of the material. Sneakers can also be washed here.
  • Night mode. Ideal if you plan to run your washing machine overnight. The machine will run extremely quietly, with a slow spin cycle and no sound.
  • Biophase. A unique mode designed for the gentle removal of protein stains from fabrics, including wine, grass, milk, blood, and cosmetics. Recommended for use with enzyme-based cleaners.
  • Easy ironing. It involves minimal spinning and gentle drum rotation, resulting in damp, smooth clothes.
  • Rinse. A standard program that, when activated, initiates a second rinse. This is necessary to remove any remaining detergent from the fibers and protect against allergic reactions.
  • Spin cycle. Activated if items haven't been spun sufficiently. The cycle lasts no more than 5 minutes.

Some Hansa machines have unique modes or modified versions of standard ones. To avoid making mistakes, you should first study the instructions. It must include a list of programs, their brief description, duration, spin intensity and water heating.
