Preparing items for washing

When preparing to machine wash a polyester jacket, carefully inspect the item and try to locate any traces of dirt. After a thorough inspection, you may decide to dry clean it, especially since modern cleaning solutions can work wonders.

Once you've determined that your polyester winter jacket does need to be washed, read the label to learn the washing instructions for this garment. This is crucial.

Next, you need to unzip the jacket's hood, lining, and anything else that can be removed. These items can be washed separately; there's no need to overload the washing machine. 5. Dry a jacket with a membrane fabric in a horizontal position away from strong heat sources and direct sunlight.
