How to extend the drain and inlet hose for a washing machine?
Washing machines are now found in almost every home. They're not perceived as expensive items. Rather, they're valued as a working tool that saves time and effort. When purchasing a new washing machine, people don't always think ahead about where they'll put it. And sometimes, the machine ends up being larger than the intended space. In this case, the washing machine may end up quite far from the drain or the pipe that connects the inlet hose.
How to extend the drain hose?
Hoses are typically one and a half to two meters long. There's a unique solution. The idea is to buy a new, longer hose and replace it instead of extending it.
You can easily purchase a longer drain hose at plumbing supply stores or large appliance repair centers. But if you can't find one there, the internet can help. Type the following phrase into any search engine: Buy a long drain hoseAnd you'll find what you need in the search results. To replace it, you'll need to partially disassemble the case.
If you don't want to disassemble the machine and mess around with it, another option is to simply extend the old hose by adding another one. This can easily be purchased at a plumbing supply store or repair service center. You'll also need special clamps and a connector for the drain hoses.
You can actually get by without the clamps if the connector fits snugly. But it's better to be on the safe side. We'll need them and a special tube if we can't find a proper connector. If we bought a connector, the entire process of extending the hose will be extremely simple. Simply insert both hoses into the connector and secure them with clamps. That's it. You're ready to use.
If we can't find a connector, a thin plastic or thick rubber tube and clamps will do. The tube should be large enough to fit over both hoses, but preferably a fairly tight fit.
We'll need to slide this tube onto both hoses so that they meet approximately halfway along the tube. The resulting connection must be secured with clamps.
For normal operation of the washing machine, the hose should not be longer than 3.5 meters.
If desired, you can find a closer location to install the appliance. Or move the drain closer using a pipe and a plumber. Incidentally, if you have plumbing experience, this shouldn't be a big deal, especially if your pipes are plastic rather than metal.

How to extend the inlet hose?
The easiest option is to simply buy a new one. You can also find them at plumbing supply stores. Replacing it is very easy, and you don't need to disassemble the machine. Simply disconnect the water from the washing machine, then unscrew the old short hose and screw on the new one. Then open the faucet and check for leaks at the connections. Usually, everything works fine, and the washing machine will be able to wash without any problems immediately after the replacement.
If you can't find a hose of the right length—which is a bit of a surprise, considering there are so many plumbing stores these days—you can extend the hose by adding another one. To do this, you'll need a three-quarter-inch brass nipple. This will act as a connector. Simply screw both hoses onto it, and you're done. Enjoy your laundry!

About the inlet hose: "If you can't find one of the right length, which is pretty weird..."
In Bosch with an anti-leak system this is not at all strange, this system is mounted on the inlet hose and there is only one way out - to extend it.
For all Bosch?
How to do this?
And the Indesit dishwasher's drain hose mount inside the machine has a 90 degree bend and is larger in diameter than standard ones 🙁
