Turning on the Electrolux washing machine
Operating modern washing machines is easy. Just read the instructions once and you'll understand how to use and, in particular, turn on your Electrolux washing machine. This is especially true if you've previously owned a washing machine of this or another brand.
But even starting an Electrolux automatic washing machine for the first time isn't difficult. You just need to familiarize yourself with the machine's dashboard and take a few important points into account.
Take your first launch seriously
Loading laundry straight into a newly purchased washing machine is a bad idea. Before using the machine as usual, it needs to be prepared, installed, connected to utilities, cleaned, and configured. The first step will be installation with leveling and unscrewing the transport bolts. The latter protect the tank during transportation, but must be removed from the housing before starting the first wash.
The second step is connecting the equipment to the utilities: power, water, and sewer lines. It's important to check the quality of the connections—everything must be as tight and secure as possible.
The third step is the technical start-up. This involves running an empty cycle to clear the washing machine of factory grease and the characteristic "chemical" odor. It's important that the first wash be done without laundry, but with detergent. Here's how:
- check that the drum is empty;
- pour the powder into the largest compartment of the detergent drawer;
- plug the machine into the socket;
- turn the selector to any long-term high-temperature mode (“Cotton”, “60” or “90” will do);
- press "Start".
The first time the washing machine is started “empty” – with an empty drum, but with detergent.

If the machine doesn't respond to the command, check that the door is securely closed. Other problems may also arise, caused by a poor connection or a manufacturing defect. This is the main purpose of the first cycle – to assess the Electrolux's performance. If you notice noise, knocking, leaks, increased vibration, or other suspicious symptoms, call a repairman. Remember, in this case, the free warranty applies.
Launching a regular program
After the technical start-up, the Electrolux is ready for normal operation. Now you can start a wash cycle with laundry. The key is to select the appropriate program and configure the system to the desired settings. This should be based on the color and type of fabric, the presence of stains, and the time available for cleaning.
If you have a washing machine in your home for the first time, the abundance of icons and buttons on the machine's dashboard can be confusing and even intimidating. But there's no need to worry – you can figure out the functionality of the equipment by reading the instructions alone. It contains decoded images and a detailed description of the available modes and options.
Before using your washing machine, read the manufacturer's instructions—they describe the operating instructions, as well as the available modes, functions, and power levels.
Now that we've figured out the buttons, let's start the cycle. Here's the instruction:
- insert the power cord plug into the socket;
- open the water supply to the machine;
- fill the drum with things, observing the loading norm;
- close the hatch until it clicks;
- open the powder receptacle;
- add detergent, powder, gel, softener, rinse aid;
- press the system power button;
- use the selector to select the desired position;
- start the wash by pressing the "Start" button.
Modern Electrolux washing machines will signal the end of the cycle with a beep. However, trying to open the door immediately after the beep is useless—the electronic door lock is released 2-3 minutes after the cycle finishes.
It's not recommended to wash all items on the same cycle. For high-quality and gentle washing, it's important to select the right program for the color and type of fabric: cotton, wool, and silk items require different conditions, spin cycles, and temperatures. Failure to follow these instructions will affect the quality of your clothes—they may become damaged, discolored, or misshapen.
Dosage of funds
An important point is adding detergent to the washing machine. Too little or too much powder will directly affect the cleaning result: the item will either remain soapy or will not remove stains. The dosage of concentrate depends on its composition and the weight of the laundry load. It's best to follow the instructions on the packaging and measure out the amount with a measuring spoon.
But first, let's take a look at the powder compartments. On the left is the main wash bin, on the right is the pre-wash compartment, and in the center is the drawer for extra liquids. These include rinse aids, fabric softeners, and bleaches.
