It's best to figure out what bearings your Indesit washing machine uses before starting repairs. Finding the component sizes is easy—all you need to know is the model of your washing machine. We'll explain what parts a repair kit should include and how technicians replace the rings and seals.
The set of bearings depends on the model of the machine.
When planning a repair for your "home helper," it's best to purchase the necessary tools and components in advance. This will prevent distractions during the work, significantly speeding up the process. Let's look at the bearing and seal sizes for different Indesit washing machine models.
Rings of sizes 203-204 and oil seal 25x47/64x7/10.5 are installed on the following machines:
Indesit AB 845 TXE;
Indesit AL 748 TX;
Indesit AL 748 TXR;
Indesit W 84 TX EX;
Indesit W 84 X SP;
Indesit W 125 XS DE;
Indesit W 642 TX EX;
Indesit WE 6 IT;

Indesit WG 835 TX;
Indesit WG 835 TXR;
Indesit WI 104 X;
Indesit WIL 85 XEX and others.
Many Indesit washing machine models are also equipped with 203-204 bearings, but the seal on them is 25x47x10. These are automatic machines:
Indesit W 63 T;
Indesit W 63 TK;
Indesit W 63 T EX;
Indesit W 63 T AUS;
Indesit W 81 EX;

Indesit WG 421 TX;
Indesit WG 420 S;
Indesit WG 622 TP;
Indesit WG 633 TX, etc.
If Indesit washing machines are equipped with the same bearings, this does not mean that the oil seal will have identical dimensions.
The Indesit line includes washing machines equipped with 204-205 bearings and a 35x52/65x7/10 seal. These models include:
Indesit AB 1056 TXEX;
Indesit WDN 896 XWE;
Indesit WDN 1000 WO;
Indesit WDN 1079 WG;
Indesit WDN 2067 WF;
Indesit WDN 2196 XWE/1;
Indesit WE 125 X EX.
There are washing machines with similar bearings – 204 and 205 – but with a 35x62/75x7/10 seal. Therefore, be careful when choosing. These are the models:
Indesit WD 125 T EX;
Indesit WE 12 DE;
Indesit WE 12 S DE.
There are also Indesit machines equipped with the same seal, 35x62/75x7/10, but equipped with 205-206 bearings. These are the following washing machines:
Indesit W 125 XS DE;
Indesit W 146 X;
Indesit W 146 XS;
Indesit WD 125 T EX;
Indesit WDS 1200 TX;
Indesit WE 11 UK;
Indesit WE 13 UK;
Indesit WE 16 DE;
Indesit WE 145 X EX and others.
Some Indesit models are equipped with one reinforced BA2B 30x60x37 bearing and a 35x52/65x7/10 seal. This is a washing machine:
Indesit WS 105 TX EX;
Indesit WS 84 TX;
Indesit WS 84 TX EX;
Indesit WS 84 TX EX;
Indesit WGS 638 TXU;
Indesit WS 642TX EX;
Indesit WS 84T X EX.
There are a wide range of configurations. The lineup also includes Indesit machines with 202-203 bearings and a 22x40x10/11.5 seal. Some washing machines require a complete support assembly for repair, such as the Indesit WITL 86 IT, Indesit WIT 60 FR, or a complete tub assembly (Indesit W 81 EX / WI 81 EX, Indesit WIL 85 EX TE). Therefore, be sure to check the model name of your "home helper" before ordering parts.
How do broken bearings show up?
The need for bearing replacement is indicated by characteristic signs. The bearing assembly performs an important function: it connects the drum and pulley, allowing the motor to spin the drum to the required RPM. When the bearing rings break, the machine cannot operate properly; it begins to make noise, "jump," and vibrate heavily.
The main "symptoms" of broken bearings:
grinding and clanking sounds when the washing machine is running;
strong vibration of the washing machine body;
drum play;
insufficient spin intensity even at maximum speed;
deformation of the drum cuff (due to the resulting imbalance, things rub against the seal, damaging the rubber);
rusty stains on the rear wall of the tank, where the pulley is connected.
The need to replace the bearings of an Indesit washing machine will be indicated by a loud knocking and grinding noise during operation, increased vibration, play in the drum, and rust on the rear wall of the tank.
Indesit washing machines have two bearings, an outer and an inner one. The outer ring has a larger diameter because it bears the main load. The outer ring is located at the end of the shaft and serves a supporting function, so it is smaller. Models with a single, reinforced double-row bearing are rare.
Why is there an oil seal in a car?
When purchasing a repair kit, you'll find that in addition to a pair of bearings, the package also includes an oil seal. The seal is replaced along with the rings. The seal prevents water from entering the bearing assembly, preventing premature wear.
If the parts are purchased separately rather than as a set, it's important to remember the rubber gasket. When replacing the drum rings, a new seal is always installed. The dimensions of the seal, like the bearings, depend on the model of the Indesit washing machine.
Types of seals installed in modern automatic machines:
Single-lip gaskets – protect the bearing assembly only from moisture;
Single-lip seals with a dust cover – provide additional protection from debris;
V-shaped seals. These gaskets are found only on vertical washing machines. They provide complete protection from all negative factors: moisture, dust, and debris.
All modern oil seals are equipped with a metal mesh. It's important not to damage the reinforcing base during installation. It's essential to maintain the original shape of the sealing rubber—only then will it be able to perform its intended function.
When it comes to the quality of components, it's best to buy genuine Indesit parts. Chinese-made equivalents can quickly become deformed, and complex repairs involving complete disassembly of the washing machine will have to be repeated. Therefore, saving money in this case isn't worth it.
How do mechanics change bearings?
The bearings are hidden deep inside the washing machine's drum. Repairs will require partial disassembly of the washing machine. To remove the plastic container from the washing machine's housing, follow these steps:
de-energize the device;
disconnect the machine from the water supply and sewerage system;
remove the top cover of the washing machine;
remove the powder receptacle;
remove the washing machine control panel;
disconnect from the tank any parts that interfere with its removal: counterweights, pressure switch, inlet valve, heating element, motor, all pipes and contacts;
loosen the shock absorbers.
The removed unit is placed on a flat surface. The next step is disassembling the container. Indesits have a cast tank, so mechanics often have to saw it off. Bearing replacement is performed as follows:
drill holes around the perimeter of the tank (they will be needed for subsequent assembly of the container);
cut the tank along the factory seam;
turn the bottom of the tank over;
unscrew the screw and unhook the pulley (if the mount does not give in, treat it with WD-40);
lightly tap the bushing and remove the drum;
knock out both bearings using a drift and a small hammer;
remove dirt, rust and wear from the seat;
Press in the small bearing first, then the large one;
Treat the sealing rubber with a special lubricant;
Place the seal on top.
Next, all that remains is to reassemble the unit. The drum sections are secured together with water-resistant sealant and several bolts (holes were drilled for them initially). Then, the plastic container is secured into the housing, and all previously disconnected parts are reassembled. Finally, a test cycle is run with no laundry in the drum. If all goes well, the repair is complete.
