Midea Washing Machine Error Codes

Midea Washing Machine Error CodesWhat should a regular user do if they discover their washing machine has stopped working and displays an incomprehensible message on the screen? Should they immediately call a service center and request a technician? It's best to first understand the error codes for Midea washing machines themselves. The problem may be so trivial that they can be fixed at home.

The most common mistakes

To understand how to fix the situation, you need to figure out what kind of malfunction your washing machine is signaling. Most problems can be fixed on your own, without resorting to outside help. Most often, the Midea washing machine displays errors:

  • E10, E: The machine cannot fill the tank with water. This error code can be caused by a clogged inlet hose, low or no water pressure, a faulty inlet valve, or a faulty triac on the control board responsible for filling the tank. Inspect the hose, ensure there is water in the lines, check the valve winding, and check the control unit.
  • A leak has been detected. The system's seal has been compromised. The machine needs to be inspected for leaks and repaired.
  • E20, E21 (in some washing machine models – C2). Water cannot be drained from the tank within the allotted time (10 minutes). The debris filter, drain hose, or drain pipe is likely clogged, or the pump is broken. What should you do if this error occurs? You will need to clean the filter, drain pipe, pump impeller, and the pump itself. Check the drain pump with a multimeter and replace it if necessary.
  • E. The inability to drain is caused by damage to the triac on the control board, which controls the drain pump. The control module is diagnosed, and the component is replaced with a working one.
  • Problems with draining the waste liquid from the tank are caused by faulty contacts between the triac and the pump. Inspect the wiring, isolate any damaged sections, and replace the cable if necessary.
  • E. The water level sensor is faulty. The pressure switch needs to be tested; if it's broken, the part will need to be replaced. The connection between the sensor and the control unit may be broken, so it's a good idea to inspect the wiring.
  • E. Faulty pressure sensor or problem with the filling system. This could be due to a lack of water in the lines, a clogged system, or a faulty pressure sensor. Ensure there is water, check the inlet hose for blockages, and clear the pressure sensor pipes.
  • E. Damage to the pressure sensor, malfunction of the heating element protective relay. The machine is likely detecting inconsistency in the element readings, a blockage, or increased voltage in the line. It is necessary to clear the blockages and ensure the supply voltage is stable.Midea washing machine pressure sensors
  • The pressure switch with the second anti-boil level is not functioning properly. The sensor may be faulty or the wires may be broken. You can install a working pressure switch or repair the power supply wiring.
  • There's too much water in the tank. The level sensor is malfunctioning. The pressure switch will need to be replaced.
  • The heater's protective relay is broken. The protective element needs to be tested.
  • The primary water level sensor is not working correctly. Inspect the sensor and install a new one if necessary.
  • The pressure switch isn't sending any signals. This is likely due to a clogged level sensor tube. You'll need to access the pressure switch, remove it from the housing, and clear the tube.
  • E. The overflow sensor is faulty. This part should be inspected and replaced.

In most cases, you can repair your washing machine yourself. For example, when the machine displays an error about not draining or filling the tank with water.

It is better to entrust repair work on the control module to professionals immediately.

Rare ciphers

There are error codes that rarely appear on Midea washing machine displays. Finding their meaning can be quite difficult. However, for those who encounter these codes, a brief explanation will certainly help.

  • E5A. Radiator temperature exceeded the permissible limit. There is a problem with the control unit; the module must be replaced.
  • E5B. Voltage too low (less than 175 V). There may be a problem with the electrical wiring. Another cause is damage to the control board.
  • E5C. The network voltage is too high (over 430 V). Replacing the control board will resolve the issue.
  • E5D. No signal from the FCV. This error code also indicates a faulty board; it will need to be replaced.
  • E5E. There is no contact between the FCV and the printed circuit board. This can be corrected by replacing the control module.Midea CM control board
  • E5F. The FCV continuously requests configuration information due to repeated resets. This could be caused by a faulty control unit or damaged wiring. The machine can be repaired by installing a new control board or repairing the connections between the components.

If your washing machine displays an error, don't panic and call a team of technicians to your home. First of all, try to reboot the equipment (turn off the power and let it stand for about 15 minutes). Often a simple reboot helps to eliminate the code.
