Panasonic washing machine error codes

Panasonic washing machine error codesPanasonic washing machines occupy a distinct market share in Russia, although they aren't widely available. Despite their high quality, Panasonic machines can display error codes indicating malfunctions or improper operation. Owners of these machines may find it helpful to familiarize themselves with a short list of these codes to understand how to fix the problem themselves or what steps can be taken to resolve the issue.

Brief description of ciphers

Panasonic washing machine error codes typically consist of a letter and a numeric value, such as "U12" or "H09." Let's look at error codes that begin with "U" (only the numeric values for each code are listed below):

  • 18 – an error coming from the sensors when they cannot transmit a signal (you won’t be able to fix it yourself, you should call a specialist);
  • 14 – indicates an error “inappropriate voltage in the electrical network”, which must be corrected by a specialist;
  • 04, 12 or 13 – this is a program error, that is, its failure, which can be eliminated by replacing or repairing the control module;
  • 11 – indicates the wash cycle cannot be completed, which may occur due to improper connection or a critical blockage in the drain pipe or pump; this problem can be resolved by clearing the clogged pipes or replacing the heating element.

Panasonic washing machine errors with the first letter "H":

  • 01, 05 or 09 – these codes mean that the control board is faulty and needs to be replaced;
  • 07 or 017 – if the error “U07” or “U017” is displayed, this indicates a malfunction, incorrect operation of one or more sensors that need to be replaced;
  • 21 – the processor does not start various washing modes correctly (can be corrected by reflashing the firmware);
  • 29 or 41 – this means that the sensors and/or control board are faulty, perhaps the contacts are burnt out;
  • 27 or 53 - these are the digital combinations the machine uses to inform the user that the wash cycle will not start because the door is not closed tightly, the water supply is blocked, or there is a blockage in the drainage system (carefully inspect the drain and water supply hoses, try pressing the machine door harder, or diagnose the motor operation);
  • 43, 46, 51 or 55 – indicates problems with the tachometer sensor, engine, board and connection of these structural elements, the error is eliminated by checking and repairing all the specified connections and parts;
  • 52 – indicates a failure or malfunction of the controller, which requires replacement or repair.Panasonic CM control module

Features of the self-diagnostic system

By comparing the alphanumeric code displayed on the screen with the list, you can learn more about the problem (or malfunction) and, in some cases, even fix it yourself. However, sometimes such messages may indicate a temporary glitch that may later resolve itself. To verify that there is a real problem, reboot the machine by unplugging it for ten minutes.

Important! An error message on your washing machine's display does not necessarily mean there is a problem.

Once you've confirmed that the error code persists even after rebooting your Panasonic washing machine's control system, you should try to resolve the issue yourself (if possible), first checking the code against the list above. Otherwise, call a qualified technician for a more thorough diagnosis and/or replacement or repair of the parts.
