Daewoo Washing Machine Error Codes
Let's look at the main and most common errors that occur in Daewoo washing machines.
ОЕ – water does not drain from the washing machine tank.
Why did this error occur?
The drain pump or its wiring and contacts may be faulty. The drain pump filter or the drain system pipes and hose may also be clogged. Furthermore, the hose may be improperly connected or pinched.
IE – water does not fill the washing machine tank, or it fills very slowly.
Why might the IE error occur?
This error does not necessarily mean that the machine is broken. It's possible you simply forgot to open the water supply valve on your water pipe. So, first, make sure it's open. It's also possible that for some reason there's no water in the water line, or there is, but the pressure is very weak. To check for this problem, simply turn on the water. If there's no water, or only a very slight flow, when the valve is open, you've found the cause of the problem. You can call your housing office and find out when the plumbing problem will be fixed.
Next, you need to check the filter mesh of the inlet valve. If it's clogged with rust or something else, it may prevent the tank from filling. To check, you'll need to close the water supply valve and unscrew the drain hose on the washing machine side. The filter mesh is located where the hose connects to the machine. If you notice it's clogged, you need to carefully clean it. It's also possible that the inlet valve itself, or the pressure switch (level sensor), has failed.
UE - The balance in the tank is disturbed.
In what cases can you see this error code on the washing machine display?
The laundry has clumped together, disrupting the balance of the drum. In this case, stop the wash cycle, open the door, and distribute the items evenly. This error code may also be caused by improper installation of the washing machine or unadjusted feet. Make sure the machine is stable and level. If it wobbles even with gentle jostling, adjust the feet, level the installation location, or choose a different location.
LE — The washing machine door is not locked tightly enough or there is a malfunction of the door locking device (HLD).
For what reasons could this error occur?
This error code is displayed when The lock did not secure the machine's hatch door in the closed position. This can happen if the door isn't closed tightly or if it's warped. It's also possible that the door lock or the hatch locking mechanism itself is faulty. If the hatch locking mechanism is broken, it needs to be replaced.
E8 - Load sensor failure
Why did this error occur?
The load sensor has likely failed. To fix this, it needs to be replaced.
E9 — Pressure switch (water level sensor/water level relay) failure.
What to do if such a malfunction occurs?
Check the pressure switch tubes and the tightness of their connections. If the tubes are intact, it's most likely the water level sensor itself is faulty. In this case, it needs to be replaced.
H6 – Electrical circuit broken.
How to fix the problem?
First, make sure the heating element wiring is intact. If the heating element itself is broken, it will need to be replaced.
