Vestel Washing Machine Error Codes

Vestel washing machine errorsOver time, washing machine parts wear out and break. Users can detect a malfunction with a particular component through various symptoms, including the error code on the display. Knowing the error code can reduce the time spent troubleshooting and simplify troubleshooting. Therefore, in this article, we've decided to explain Vestel washing machine error codes.

Error codes on different machines

In most cases, the breakdown occurs on older machines of the Turkish brand Vestel, which are not equipped with a display. However, they also have a built-in self-diagnostic system in the form of indicators on the control panel. Let's compare the codes on washing machines without a display to alphanumeric codes.

  • Code E01 corresponds to the flashing first and second indicators.

    Please note! On most washing machines, the first indicator (1) is the start/pause button, the second indicator (2) is the rinse hold button, the third indicator (3) is the easy iron button, and the fourth indicator (4) is the extra rinse button.

Decoding codes

Each of the errors listed above most often indicates a malfunctioning component. Let's take a closer look at what these errors mean.

  • Error E01 informs the user that the drum door of the machine is not closed tightly.
  • Error E02 indicates that the water pressure in the washing machine is weak, which is why the water does not reach the required minimum.
  • Error E03 is associated with a pump that is either clogged or faulty.
  • Error E04 indicates that the tank is overfilled with water, which could happen due to a faulty inlet valve, pressure switch, or electronic module.
  • Error E05 is a consequence of a breakdown of the temperature sensor or heating element.
  • Error E06 informs about a malfunction of the electric motor.
  • Error E07 is associated with a breakdown of the washing machine's electronic module.
  • Error E08 indicates a power failure.
  • Error E09 informs that the network voltage does not correspond to the norm.

    Please note! The power supply voltage must not exceed 160-260 V.

Recommendations for elimination

If any error occurs, don't panic and call a technician immediately. Some problems can be resolved yourself. Here's what you can do in each case.

If the E01 error occurs, try pressing down on the door with your foot and restarting the wash cycle. If the washing machine still doesn't start, you'll need to replace the door lock, following the instructions in this article. Vestel washing machine repair You can do it yourself.

You can resolve the problem of poor water intake with the E02 error message yourself. To do this, first check to see if the water supply valve is closed. Then, check the inlet valve strainer for clogs.

  • disconnect the machine from the power supply;
  • unscrew the water supply hose;
  • Unscrew the filter mesh and rinse it in water.

If the problem lies with a faulty pressure switch, open the top cover of the machine and locate the water level sensor. Then check the sensor contacts, the connection to the pressure line, and the sensor itself. If necessary, replace the sensor with a similar one.

To troubleshoot the E03 error, start by cleaning the drain filter, which is located at the bottom of the washing machine. Unscrew it counterclockwise and rinse it under running water to remove any debris or dirt. If you don't hear the pump running while draining and water remains in the drum, the pump needs to be replaced. It's easy to replace through the bottom of the washing machine.

Overflow of water in the washing machine (E04) is primarily associated with the water inlet valve.

Please note! The fill valve is one of the common complaints of Turkish Vestel washing machines.

Anyone with a good handle on a screwdriver and a multimeter can replace the valve. The valve is located just behind the rear wall, where the water inlet hose connects. Before work, do not forget to close the water supply tap.

As for the heating element, it's located at the rear of Vestel washing machines. Therefore, to replace it, simply open the service hatch and the heating element will be in front of you. The heating element is removed from its housing by unscrewing the mounting bolt and disconnecting the wires. When installing the new heating element, do not apply excessive force when tightening the nut, as this could cause damage.

Washing machine motors rarely fail. Most often, it's the carbon brushes that wear out, which, with some skill, can be replaced yourself. However, most often, this problem is addressed by a technician. If the motor winding burns out, repair is completely pointless. In this case, the motor is replaced.

We recommend entrusting electrical and electronic problems (E07, E08, E09) to a professional immediately. Failure to address these issues could cause further damage to your washing machine. Be considerate of your "home helper," and happy repairs!
