Whirlpool Washing Machine Error Codes

Whirlpool washing machinesBefore you start repairing household appliances, you need to determine what is broken?

And a pretty convenient way to do this is to figure out the error code that our machine gives us.

Let's get down to business.

Errors

Error What does it mean? Why did the error occur and what should I do?
FH The level relay does not perform its functions. To clear the error, press "PAUSE/CANCEL" twice. If there is no water in the machine's tank, do the following:

  • Make sure the water supply is not shut off. That is, the tap is in the open position.
  • Make sure the inlet hose isn't kinked or clogged. Inspect the inlet valve strainer. It's located where the hose meets the machine.
  • Make sure the fill valve is working properly.

If there is water in the machine's tank:

  • Make sure that the pressure switch tube is not clogged and is securely connected to the level relay and to the washing machine drum.
  • Make sure the drain pump is not broken.
  • Make sure the pressure switch is working properly.
  • Make sure that the electronic module is not faulty.
  • Make sure that the pressure switch (level sensor) is functioning properly.
  • Inspect the siphon for blockage.
  • Inspect the hoses, there may be water leaks.
F02 The water drain is taking too long. If this occurs, you'll see the "Sud" error for 4 minutes. Then, the "F02" message will appear. To remove the error code display, press “PAUSE/CANCEL” twice.

  • Make sure that the drain pump is not broken and is working properly.
  • Inspect the wiring and contacts.
  • Inspect and clean (if necessary) the drain pump filter. A clogged filter may be preventing water from draining.
  • Make sure the drain hose is not pinched, kinked or clogged.
  • If you have done everything, but this error occurs again when you start washing, then you should replace the pump.
F05 Problems with the temperature sensor.
  • Make sure that the sensor is securely connected to the heating element and relay.
  • Make sure the sensor is working properly.
  • Make sure the heating element, its wiring and relay are working properly.
F06 Problems with the electric motor tachometer.
  • Make sure that the washing machine motor is working properly.
  • Make sure there is no break in the circuit between the engine and its control panel.
  • Make sure there is no open circuit between the engine control panel and the electronic module.
  • Make sure the electric motor control panel is working properly.
  • Make sure the wiring is intact.
F07 Problems with the electric motor control panel.
  • Make sure the electric motor control panel is working properly.
  • Make sure the electric motor is in good working order.
  • Make sure there is no damage to the wiring.
  • Make sure that the contacts between the engine and its control panel are good.
  • Make sure the contacts between the motor control panel and the main control panel are good.
F09  The tank is overflowing
  • Make sure that the wiring and contacts of the drain pump, control panel, and pressure switch are in good condition.
  • Make sure the drain pump filter is not clogged.
  • Check the drain hose. It should not be pinched or clogged.
  • Make sure the drain pump is working properly.
  • Check the pressure switch (level relay).
  • Make sure the fill valve is working properly.
F10  The heat-absorbing device in the electric motor control unit was activated
  • Perform an engine check.
  • Make sure the engine control panel is working properly.
  • Check the location of the washing machine. It should not be located near a radiator. It is also advisable to have adequate ventilation in the room.
  • Make sure the contacts and wiring are in good condition.
  • Make sure that moving parts have not become damaged.
F11  Communication problems with various components of the washing machine often arise. There is no normal contact between the motor control panel and the main control panel.

  • Make sure that moving parts are not worn out and are working properly.
  • Check the wiring and contacts.
  • Make sure the electric motor is working properly.
  • Perform a check of the engine control panel.
  • Make sure that the central control panel is not broken.
F13 Problems in the functioning of the dosing chain
  • Check the dispenser motor.
  • Inspect the dispenser and its motor for mechanical damage.
  • Make sure the contacts and wiring are in good condition.
F14 Malfunction of EEPROM memory
  • Make sure the main control panel is working properly.
  • If the problem was caused by power surges, then perhaps turning the machine off for a couple of minutes and turning it on again will help.
F15 Problems with the control panel (MCU)
  • Make sure the wiring and other connections are intact.
  • Check the washing machine's electric motor.
  • Make sure the drive belt is in place and not worn.
  • Check the electric motor control panel.
Sud(Foamy) SUDS LOCK has been activated«It stops the washing machine from working due to the formation of too much foam. If the problem is caused by using too much detergent, run the rinse and spin cycle. Then run a standard wash cycle without detergent.

  • Make sure that the drain pump and pressure switch are working properly.
  • Check the drain hose for kinks or blockages.
  • Make sure the main control panel is working properly.
  • Make sure the drain pump filter is not clogged.
  • Check the wiring and tightness of the contact connections.
FdL The machine's hatch does not lock in the closed position.
  • The lock is faulty or missing.
  • Check the integrity of the contacts and wiring of the drain pump, main control panel and peristaltic.
  • The UBL (washing machine door locking device) or its wiring may be broken.
FdU The SM door does not open
  • Check the wiring from the control panel to the door lock.
  • The lock may fail.
  • Also make sure that there are no foreign objects in the lock mechanism and UBL.
  • Make sure that the hatch locking device (UBL) is in good working order.
