Where to pour conditioner in a Candy washing machine
Everyone understands that fabric softener is a very useful product. It makes clothes soft and fragrant. However, sometimes the results don't meet either user expectations or manufacturer promises. This happens because errors were made during the use of the product. To avoid this, we'll share with you where to pour fabric softener in your Candy washing machine and provide some tips for caring for the drawer.
Find the required compartment of the tray
At first, it might seem unimportant which compartment you add the fabric softener to. However, this is not the case. The machine "absorbs" the products one at a time, depending on the stage and mode selected, and the fabric softener is activated when the laundry begins rinsing.
To help you navigate the compartments, we'll explain them in detail. The "home assistant" has only three compartments, each with its own purpose. The tray's sections are as follows:
for main wash;
for pre-wash and soaking;
for air conditioning
The fabric softener compartment is bluish in color (not always), marked with a flower symbol, and narrower than the other compartments, making it fairly easy to find. Keep in mind: if you add liquid fabric softener to the regular wash compartment, it will wash out during the rinse cycle, wasting the detergent. Therefore, be sure to pour fabric softener into the compartment that will be used last.
Remember about the dosage: a small amount of the product will not bring you the desired result, and a large amount will cause an allergic reaction!
You can also add fabric softener to the drum. However, it's crucial that it's in a special container or capsule. If the liquid comes into contact with the laundry in its pure form, it will stain the items, which will ruin the wash results.
What are the other compartments of the powder receptacle for?
As we've discovered, the conditioner compartment is unmistakable. But if you're still unsure where it is, here are a few more signs to look for. The liquid detergent compartment is typically:
the smallest;
it has a mark indicating the acceptable filling level;
can be removed from the tray.
The other sections are intended for pre-wash powder (located on the right under the number 1) and for products used in almost all washing modes (Located on the left, under number 2). If you don't fill the detergent drawer with detergent, your clothes will simply rinse in the water and won't be washed. This will require you to restart the washing machine.
Don't forget to empty the powder drawer.
The machine may not be fully absorbing the fabric softener, causing a buildup of residue. This can impact the washing results, as the residue prevents adequate detergent from reaching the laundry, resulting in poor cleaning results. This is why it's important to clean the drawer.
To do this, you'll need to remove it. This is usually done with a special tab that you press down on, causing the cuvette to release. Remember: you need to act carefully, otherwise you may damage the fixing elements. Once the tray is removed, we proceed to the next task:
we wipe off the plaque;
pour granulated citric acid into the compartments and let the machine run idle at high temperature;
Fill the tray with baking soda and table vinegar and wait 15-20 minutes, then rinse everything and wipe with a dry cloth.
This method is very effective and not only keeps the tray clean but also prevents mold. Even if household products don't accumulate in the compartments and contribute to mold growth, regular cleaning is still necessary. Over time, the part may turn yellow, but proper care will ensure the longevity of your washing machine.
