Ardo washing machine won't turn on
If for some reason your Ardo washing machine won't turn on or start, don't rush to call a service center. It's quite possible that this problem can be resolved; the main thing is to not panic and proceed carefully, following the recommendations we'll provide in this article. And you can always afford to hire a technician!
List of reasons for failure
What caused this behavior in an Ardo washing machine? No technician can tell you offhand; you'll need to see it. However, it's helpful to first identify the range of possible faults that could have caused this. What are these faults?
- Problems with the electrical network, circuit breakers, sockets, extension cords.

- Problems with the power cord, plug.
- The FPS (network capacitor) burned out.
- The hatch locking device has failed.
- The contacts of the on/off button are burnt.
- The control module is broken.
The first two reasons from the above list are jokingly called "childish" by the mechanics, although for the housewife who unexpectedly encounters such a malfunction, they may seem quite serious. The third, fourth, and fifth reasons require minor repairs. And finally, the sixth reason is the most multifaceted.
If replacing a burned-out triac on the control board is all that's needed, then the repair is of average complexity. However, if several semiconductor components and their tracks are burned out, then it's a complex and expensive repair, or even a board replacement, but let's not get ahead of ourselves.
"Children's" cases
If your Ardo washing machine does not turn on or start, you need to start searching immediately.
Malfunctions. Where to begin? You need to start with the simplest causes. They're the easiest to check, and the washing machine will remain in place. In the initial stages, you won't have to disassemble it, disconnect it from the utilities, or move it. What should you do?
- Unplug the washing machine, plug in a working appliance, and turn it on. This is the easiest way to check if the outlet is working.
- If the outlet works, check the extension cord to which the Ardo washing machine is connected in the same way.
Be careful! Burnt or exposed wires, as well as damaged electrical outlets, pose a real danger. Observe safety precautions when working with electrical systems.
- The Ardo washing machine may refuse to work due to a damaged power cord. For
First, visually inspect the cord and plug. The insulation may be damaged or there are signs of melting. If this is found, the cord should not be used. - If you can't find anything visually, check the wire for a breakdown using a multimeter. Set the meter's switch to the resistance test (minimum value). Touch one probe to the right prong of the washing machine's power plug, and the other probe to the left prong. If the value on the device display is around 2 Ohms, the power cord and plug are in good condition; if the value is 9-12 Ohms or more, the cord is faulty and there is a complete or partial break.
If you discover problems with your power cord, don't try to repair it yourself, don't strip the insulation, or replace individual wires. Replace the entire cord, including the plug. This will be more reliable and effective, and most importantly, safer for you and your washing machine.
The network capacitor burned out
An Ardo washing machine that won't turn on or start isn't only caused by a faulty power cord or electrical problems in the home. Similar problems can also arise from a power strip, also known as a noise filter or line capacitor. This semiconductor component is installed in the washing machine to suppress significant interference present in the household electrical network, thereby protecting the sensitive electronics inside.
The interference filter is located at the end of the power cord inside the washing machine. To access it, you'll need to remove the top cover of the Ardo washing machine. Unscrew the two mounting bolts, pull the cover toward you, and remove it. Under the cover, where the power cord connects, you'll see a capacitor. Disconnect the wires from it and remove the part from the washing machine.
Caution! When performing the above steps, make sure the washing machine is disconnected from the power supply.
Set the multimeter to the minimum resistance value and ring the capacitor. As you ring the part, you'll see the value rise quite rapidly until the display shows a large number or -1. This means the capacitor is working. If you started checking and the number 1 or 0 immediately appeared on the display, the capacitor needs to be replaced.

We purchase a new capacitor, install it in place of the old one, connect the wires, replace the cover, connect the power, and check how the washing machine operates, turns on, and starts. If everything is correct, the repair was a success!
The on/off button is broken
The on/off button may be the cause of your Ardo washing machine not turning on or starting. This problem most often occurs in older washing machines that have been in use for 10-12 years. Possible causes include:
- wear of contacts, in this case, before breaking completely, the button will start to work every other time, or even twice;
- water, liquid detergent and other chemicals getting on the button contacts;
- oxidation of contacts due to operation in conditions of high humidity.
What do we need to do? First, remove the washing machine's control panel to access the required button. Remove the top cover of the washing machine, unscrew all the fasteners holding the front panel in place, and remove it. Next, inspect the button contacts and test them with a multimeter. In this case, use the same procedure as described above. If the display shows a 1 or 0, the button is burned out and needs to be replaced.
Please note! On some Ardo washing machine models, the control panel is secured with plastic clips. To remove it, you need to carefully pry them off without breaking anything.
We remove the old button (in some cases, you'll need to use a soldering iron) and replace it with a new, original one. We reinstall the control panel, connect it, and test the "home assistant." If the washing machine turns on and runs without issue, then everything is fine. However, if the test reveals that the button is working, then things are worse than expected—the control module has failed.
Problem with the control module
A broken washing machine control module is a fairly serious issue that requires the attention of a qualified technician. Whether you're repairing the microchip or replacing it, it's all a specialist's responsibility. If, after checking all the above components, you're certain it's the control board, get your money ready and call a technician. Self-repair of the control microcircuit is only possible in the most extreme cases, provided you have skills in working with electronics..
The success rate is low, but we won't dwell on this issue in this case. If you're interested in the possibility of repairing the control board yourself, please read the article on the topic. Is it worth repairing electronic modules yourself? Our advice on this matter is clear: contact a reputable service center.

I had this problem: when I turned on the machine, the light on the front panel came on, but nothing happened—no water filled, no drum rotation, no settings. I accidentally unplugged it, then plugged it back in, and everything worked again—apparently the circuit had reset.
The same thing happened, but it didn't help.

The car is semi-automatic. I started it, it started working, and then all the lights on the dashboard and the stop light came on. It wouldn't turn on or work.
Thank you so much! It worked! The repairman said the control panel needs to be reprogrammed. I can't even imagine the cost of that repair.
I turned it on, the door closed. And that was it! What could it be?
The machine won't turn on. It might sit there for a couple of hours, and then it turns on by itself (unless it's unplugged and the button is pressed) and works perfectly. But last time, it sat there for 5-6 hours and wouldn't work. Then the next day, it turned on like new. Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
It doesn't turn on periodically. After turning it on, it works fine. What should I do?
There's nothing about the sunroof lock. How do I test the locking relay or whatever it's called on the side of the sunroof?
