500F Dishwasher Review
For owners of small restaurants, cafes, snack bars, and bars, purchasing a high-performance industrial dishwasher doesn't make economic sense. At the same time, its limited lifespan makes it pointless to buy a household dishwasher. So what's the solution? Buy an expensive, low-performance Italian appliance? Consider the domestically produced 500F dishwasher. This is the subject of our review today.
Purpose
And this is indeed a problem. It's hard to find a good, low-power industrial dishwasher for small food service establishments. There are plenty of European-made models on the market, but the price tags are eye-popping. And there are practically no domestically produced appliances of this class. So what's left? Buy a more powerful one. dishwasher MPU 700?
We invite you to take a look at the domestically produced 500F dishwasher. This appliance was created specifically for small businesses by the Cheboksary-based company Abat. This machine is ideal for washing any reusable dishware that doesn't exceed the 500x500 mm basket dimensions. It can wash plates, salad bowls, glasses, cutlery, cups, trays, and more. The machine's capacity is no more than 500 plates per hour. The machine can be used even without hot water supply, and its average service life reaches 10 years.
The 500F was specifically designed for the needs of small catering establishments. It is low-maintenance and easy to use.
The 500F dishwasher operates very similarly to a standard kitchen dishwasher. The only difference is that it uses special racks instead of baskets, making washing much faster and more efficient. The machine takes no more than 3 minutes to complete a full rack.
Components
The 500F front-loading dishwasher is characterized by its simplicity and reliability. Its frame is made of high-quality steel, and the wash chamber is constructed from thick stainless steel sheets. All components used in its construction are wear-resistant and designed for a long service life. The model consists of the following elements:
- washing chamber doors;

- sprayer for washing;
- rinsing spray;
- control panel;
- pump for pumping cleaning solution;
- boiler;
- water supply hose to the rinse sprayers;
- water supply pipes to the washing sprayers;
- drain hose;
- inlet valve;
- baths;
- heating element;
- overflow tubes;
- rinse aid and detergent dispensers.
The electrical system of the 500F dishwasher consists of a controller, thermal switches for the bath and boiler, a circuit breaker, a KM1 starting device, relays K1, K2, and RTT.
Preparation for work and start-up
Before washing dishes, fill the machine with detergent and start it so that it draws water and heats it to the set temperature. During this time, you can place dirty dishes in the racks and prepare them for loading into the wash chamber. Take the rack with the dirty dishes and slide it along the guides into the wash chamber. Close the door and start the wash cycle.
The machine has two washing programs in its memory. The first program runs for 120 seconds, with a 102-second wash, an 8-second pause, and a 10-second rinse. The second program is designed for dirtier dishes. It runs for 180 seconds, with a 160-second wash, an 8-second pause, and a 12-second rinse. Once the rinse is complete, the cassette containing the clean dishes is removed from the wash chamber, replaced by a new cassette containing the dirty dishes, and the program repeats.
The nuances of using cassettes
The 500F machine's specifications require 500x500 mm cassettes. The cassette's internal dimensions are 460x460 mm, which should be taken into account when selecting dishes for a cafe, cafeteria, or small restaurant. Each type of dishware requires its own cassette.
The plate rack is equipped with special pins that make it easy to stack bowls and plates. The pins create two lanes: the wide one holds bowls, and the narrow one holds plates. This means the rack can hold 18 plates and 12 bowls. The plate rack is also convenient for storing trays, baking sheets, Gastronorm containers, and more.
The neutral basket has no pins. Cups, glasses, or mugs are placed in it. The dishes are simply placed upside down and placed firmly in the sink. Pots, ladles, scoops, and other utensils are placed in the neutral basket. Cutlery should also be washed in the neutral basket, but a special metal mesh is placed over the basket to prevent the cutlery from flying out during washing.
So, the domestically produced 500F industrial dishwasher has become a source of hope for entrepreneurs starting a food service business. This appliance is quite affordable, costing around $1,070, while foreign equivalents are at least one and a half times more expensive. Despite its low price, the 500F is a reliable "assistant" that gets the job done perfectly.
