Wash N Bright Manual Dishwasher Review
Relatively recently, the manual dishwasher called Wash N Bright made headlines around the world, but now it's readily available here. Strictly speaking, it's not even a dishwasher, but rather a clever dishwashing device that, according to users, does a pretty good job. Our experts were also intrigued by this "gimmick," and decided to study it in more detail, sharing their findings on this page.
The design of this dishwasher
Today, the Wash N Bright device is available for purchase on many websites and in stores. It's very inexpensive and takes up minimal space, which can't be said for a regular dishwasher. Its design is very simple. The body is a plastic reservoir divided into two roughly equal halves. Inside the reservoir, there's a partition where detergent can be poured through special holes. The walls of one half of the reservoir, on both sides, are covered with stiff bristles (like a brush). The other half has no bristles.
The synthetic bristles are positioned very closely and require little effort to push dishes or cutlery between them.
The manufacturers attached a toilet brush-like attachment to the side of the body. Additionally, a small reservoir with a brush is attached to the side of the device. The entire structure attaches to the sink or tabletop with powerful suction cups.
- Large compartment with bristles for a mixture of water and dishwashing detergent.
- Large bristle-free compartment for clean, warm water.
- Small compartment with bristles for a mixture of water and dishwashing detergent.
You can stuff flat plates into the large bristle compartment, where they'll be washed. Place spoons or forks into the small bristle compartment, where they'll be washed until they shine. Finally, a brush-like device is used for washing glasses.
Instructions for use
Using this portable dishwasher is very simple. But first, you need to prepare it. Place the device on a flat surface using the suction cups. Make sure the machine is securely positioned and won't tip over. Next, pour hot water into the bristle compartments and add a small amount of liquid dishwashing detergent to the perforated groove in the middle. Add a few more drops of the product to the small compartment with bristles. Now pour warm water into the compartment without bristles, filling it up to the mark, and we can start washing dishes.
A couple of drops of dishwashing liquid should be applied to the brush for washing glasses and mugs.
- Take a dirty plate and push it into the bristle compartment until the edge of the plate rests against the bottom of the compartment.

- Next, begin vigorously rotating the plate back and forth. It's important to rotate it 360 degrees several times until the dirt is completely removed.
- Now we put the plate into the compartment with clean water and swirl it in it in the same way.
- Next, take a dirty spoon or fork and place it in the small compartment with the bristles. Raise and lower the spoon several times, then twirl it a couple of times, and then place it in the compartment with clean water to rinse.
- Next, take a glass, attach it to a brush-like attachment, and vigorously swirl it back and forth. When thick foam forms on the inside of the glass, rinse it in a compartment filled with clean water and dry it with a towel.
That's all there is to the instructions. As you can see, there's absolutely nothing "tricky" about this device. After reading the description above, you'll master it in 5 minutes and be able to wash a whole bunch of plates, glasses, and cutlery with significantly less effort.
Main pros and cons
The exclusive Wash N Bright manual dishwasher seems like a brilliant invention. It's tempting to order one for myself, especially since its price rarely goes beyond $43. But we urge you to take your time. First, read our list of advantages and disadvantages before making a decision. Let's start with the advantages.
- The machine is perfect for a summer house without running water, as it operates independently of any utilities.
- It uses minimal water and detergent. You can wash a mountain of dishes with two liters of boiling water and three liters of cold water.
- The machine is designed very simply, there is simply nothing to break in it, so it will not need repairs even after 10 years.
- The device is very compact and lightweight. You can fit it in a shopping bag and take it to the dacha, and it certainly won't take up much space in your kitchen.
- The machine is gentle on dishes, doesn't scratch or break them, and yet it washes everything perfectly.
As you can see, there are quite a few advantages; judging by them, this is a true miracle, not a device. Now let's talk about the disadvantages.
- The machine is completely unsuitable for washing large dishes: pots, baking sheets, frying pans, etc. And yet, it's precisely washing large dishes that causes the most trouble for housewives. In fact, she only washes plates, forks, spoons, knives and glasses. Wine glasses, bowls, salad bowls, and so on will have to be washed the same way as pots and pans, so why bother buying this device?
- Machine brushes, though durable, still wear out. And when that happens, you won't find replacements.
- The machine does not have a heater, so the hot water in it cools down quickly, which leads to a deterioration in the quality of the wash.
Although the downsides outweigh the upsides, in our opinion, they are so significant that they could discourage most people from purchasing such a dishwasher. Our experts believe it's a waste of money. If your kitchen doesn't have enough space for a large dishwasher, consider buying one. compact under-sink dishwasherWe assure you, it will be much more effective than the newfangled Wash N Bright device.
To summarize, in Russia, as elsewhere in the world, all sorts of unusual gadgets are constantly appearing that, according to sellers, can "upgrade" our familiar household appliances. In reality, 95% of these turn out to be yet another sophisticated consumer scam. This dishwasher is a prime example, no offense!

It looks like a disposable item, and I believe it'll last for one wash, but the brushes still get greasy. What should I do with them? Should I wash them with another 10 liters in a separate basin? I can easily insert the brush into a glass myself, but inserting it once won't clean the glass. Basically, if hot water isn't a problem at your dacha, you can do without this dubious device. If you have running water, it's better to buy a proper dishwasher.
