How to move a washing machine alone?

The average washing machine weighs 50-60 kg, which, coupled with its awkward grip, makes moving it alone a real challenge. Of course, it's best to ask family members or friends for help with this difficult task. But what if you need to move the machine urgently and can't find help? Carrying within a house or apartment

Lifting a washing machine and moving it within a room isn't particularly difficult. Before moving, prepare the appliance and ensure you have a suitable support item, such as a large blanket or sturdy throw. The procedure is as follows:

• de-energize the equipment;
• disconnect the inlet and drain hoses from the water supply and sewerage system;
• attach the hoses to the body of the washing machine so that they do not interfere during transportation;
• take the prepared blanket;
• Tilt the machine alternately left and right, pushing a blanket under the feet. The washing machine body should fit halfway up the blanket;
• Grab the loose end of the blanket and carefully begin dragging the washing machine across the floor. Moving the machine across smooth floors—linoleum, laminate, or tile—will be easy.

This method of transfer has undeniable advantages. By moving the washing machine with a blanket, you won't damage the flooring or get a stomach ache. In addition, the machine will “drive” in an upright position, so there will be no need to drain the remaining water from the system or remove the powder container.
