Error 4e in a Samsung washing machine

Automatic washing machines with electronic displays are nothing new. The information displayed on the small screen during operation can be very useful. After all, in addition to displaying wash duration and water temperature, machine manufacturers have built error codes into the program. Let's look at one such error – error 4e in a Samsung washing machine.

Description of error 4e

Error 4e means that the washing machine isn't filling with water for some reason. This is easy to understand: you can't hear the sound of water filling, and you can't see any water flowing through the glass drum. Error 4e in a Samsung washing machine can occur either at the very beginning of the wash cycle or during the rinse cycle, when the soapy water has already been drained and no clean water is being drawn in.

In some Samsung washing machine models, this error is indicated not by code 4e, but by code 4c.

Causes of occurrence

The occurrence of such an error may be caused by the following reasons:

1. Lack of cold water supply.
2. There is a foreign object stuck in the water inlet valve.
3. When connecting to the water supply, an error occurred in the connection of hot and cold water.
4. There is no water pressure, there is no pressure in the water supply system.
5. The hose is not connected to the detergent container.

Troubleshooting

The first thing you need to do is open the cold water tap and make sure it is not turned off.

If water is supplied to the apartment, but the machine still does not start washing, displaying error 4e on the screen, then you need to:

1. Check the faucet and water supply valve for leaks. Leaking water is usually the main cause of this problem.
2. Check the water pressure supplied through the hose.

If the water pressure is strong, the inlet filter may be clogged. Simply clean or replace it and try running the washing machine again. If error 4e appears on the screen again, the problem lies with the internal components of the washing machine, which requires calling a technician.

If you still can't figure out why your washing machine is displaying error 4e, you should contact a Samsung service center. It's possible that internal components are faulty, but only a professional can determine this.

When did error 4e appear? before starting the rinse cycle, then the steps to eliminate it should be as follows:

1. Check if there is cold water entering the apartment.
2. Turn off the power to the washing machine.
3. Make sure the drain hose is connected correctly.
4. Check the water pressure passing through the inlet hose.
5. Turn on the machine and run it in the Rinse and Spin mode.
6. If the error appears again, you will have to call a home appliance specialist.

Errors 4e and e4: the same thing?

When searching for the cause of error 4e on a washing machine, some people search for e4 instead of 4e. This is incorrect, because these are two completely different errors, caused by various reasons. Error e4 means there's an imbalance in the machine's drum. The following are possible causes:

• too much laundry, the permissible volume has been exceeded;
• perhaps there is too little linen;
• the laundry got tangled up and stuck to the drum;
• problems with the electronic controller, defects in the machine drive parts.

       I just had it fixed yesterday. The inlet hose to the detergent drawer is divided into three parts. Each compartment has its own water hose. Mine was clogged, specifically the one that supplies water during the programs. That is, the machine uses it to weigh the laundry. But during the quick wash, it immediately dispenses water.
