Error E02 in Candy washing machine

error E02 on CandyCandy washing machine codes begin with the letter E, and there are nine of them. They are specific to the Activia Smart series. Let's take a closer look at one of these errors – error E02. We'll discover the causes and how to repair it yourself.

Explanation and reasons

If your Candy washing machine doesn't start washing and the E02 code appears on the display after a while, there's a problem with the water level. This could be due to several reasons:

  • The most common one is a lack of water in the water supply. There may be water, but the pressure is insufficient;
  • check if the water supply tap is closed;
  • a dirty filter mesh in front of the inlet valve may obstruct the flow of water;
  • Another reason lies in the breakdown of the fill valve itself;
  • The least likely cause of this error is the control board breaking down.

Please note! The E02 error appears on the display approximately 3.5 minutes after the wash cycle starts. This is the time the program allows for water intake, and if it doesn't, the machine displays the error.

Valve malfunctions

The inlet valve in a Candy washing machine is not much different from those in other brands. So what could go wrong with this important part?inlet valve

  • First, the mesh screen between the valve and the inlet hose can become clogged. It can be easily unscrewed and rinsed under running water.
  • Secondly, the coil on the valve may burn out; it is either rewound or the entire part is replaced.
  • Thirdly, the plates that limit the water flow can fall out of the inlet valve nipple. As a result, too much water fills the tank, the valve doesn't operate, and it needs to be replaced.

Replacement of this part is carried out as follows:

  1. Disconnect the equipment from the power supply and water supply.
  2. Open the top cover of the machine by unscrewing two screws. In top-loading machines, you need to open the side wall, since the fill valve is located at the bottom of the housing.
  3. Disconnect the hoses and electrical wires with terminals from the part.

    Important! The hoses are attached with clamps that are not reusable, so purchase new ones in advance.

  4. Check the condition of the valve wires using a multimeter.
  5. Loosen the bolts holding the valve in place or remove the retaining clips. Remove the valve and inspect it for proper operation.
  6. Install a new part and connect communications.
  7. Assemble the car.

Pressure switch or module failure

If the water level sensor is faulty, the Candy washing machine may also freeze without starting a wash cycle. What should I do in this situation?pressure switch in Kandy

  1. Once you've made sure that the error isn't caused by the inlet valve, locate the pressure switch at the top of the machine, at the front.
  2. Inspect the pressure sensor line and check for leaks. If there is a leak, replace it.
  3. Then, using a tester, check the sensor contacts and the electrical wires running from it to the module.
  4. If the above steps do not help identify the cause of the breakdown, then most likely the sensor itself is faulty and will need to be replaced.
  5. Take a new original part and put it in place of the broken one.
  6. Check the operation of the washing machine.

Finally, the rarest case is a faulty control board. It contains components that control the fill valve and pressure switch—these are triacs. These are the ones that need to be checked first. However, finding these components on the board is not easy if you don't know where to look. Therefore, we recommend not taking risks and entrusting the work to a professional. As the saying goes, everyone should do their own thing.

Candy washing machines have different control modules depending on the model. Some modules have more electronic components, while others have fewer, which affects the number of functions. But that's not the topic right now. Below, in the photo, you see an example of a module from this brand's washing machine. Components TC6, TC7, and TC8 control the inlet valve; they should be tested and replaced if necessary.

Carefully inspect the board before work; sometimes you can visually notice burnt-out elements.

In conclusion, we'd like to point out once again that not all cases of E02 error are worth attempting to repair yourself. Sometimes, it's better to contact a specialist to save time, stress, and money. However, if you're a novice with an inquisitive mind, go for it—it's all in your hands. Candy GVS4137TWC1/2-07 washing machine. Error E22. Water enters and drains, but after two minutes of operation, the washing machine displays this error.

    Information about E02 is being reposted all over the internet, and nowhere is it mentioned that the cause could be as simple as a fallen drain hose. It should be 65 cm above the floor; if it's lying on the floor, the machine is simply circulating water (filling at the top, draining at the bottom)—it's just physics. The output is E02. Simply lifting the hose and everything worked.

    Good afternoon, I have the same problem as Oleg: it stops when filling with water for the final rinse. Can you tell me how to fix it or what to check?
