Error E07 in Candy washing machine

Error E07 in Candy washing machineIf your Candy washing machine displays the E07 error code, it means there's a problem with the electronics, a broken door lock, or a motor issue. Don't rush to the troubleshooting step; it's best to first try resetting the settings by unplugging the machine and waiting 10 minutes. If the error code appears again, it'll confirm the seriousness of the situation—you'll need to stop the cycle and troubleshoot the machine.

Symptoms of an error

manifestation of an error on Candy's equipmentThe error code "E07" appears at the very beginning of the cycle or at its end. On some Candy models, this error is displayed on the screen in a slightly different way, as a combination of “E7”, “Err7”, “Err07” or “Error7”. Before a malfunction occurs, washing machines will “signal” with other signs:

  • during washing, rinsing and spinning in each mode the drum remains stationary;
  • the drum rotates in only one direction;
  • after starting, the drum immediately accelerates;
  • At the end of the cycle the hatch does not open.

The error "E07" is often displayed as "E7", "Err 7", "Err 07" or "Error 7".

Other deviations from standard washing patterns are also possible. Ideally, you should monitor the machine's behavior and record any changes in its operation. It's a good idea to note the time at which the symptoms appear and their duration. This will make it easier to determine the location and nature of the problem.

Code display on equipment without a display

If the Candy doesn't have a display, the system will indicate the error with a corresponding indicator. Simply put, some dashboard lights will flash synchronously a certain number of times. For the "E07" error code, the LEDs will flash seven times in a row. Afterwards, the buttons will go dark for 6-12 seconds, after which the flashing sequence will repeat.

Which lights will indicate a failure depends on the Candy model:

  • On the Grand series washing machine, the “Intensive Wash” LED (represented by a T-shirt with a stain) and the first left indicator in the wash time countdown line (in most cases, the “90” position) will light up;

In case of error E07, the indication occurs in a series of 7 times.

  • Smart line appliances signal a problem with “Intensive wash” and the “90” or “Start” position in the countdown timer column;
  • Candy Holiday and Aquamatic models indicate E07 by flashing the "Cold Wash" light, which is indicated by a snowflake.

Error F07 on a Candy without a display

Instead of guessing, it's best to open the manufacturer's manual, find the section on error codes, and compare the displayed error codes with the examples provided in the manual. It will also detail what to do in each case and the risks of continuing to operate the car without repairs.

Why did the code appear?

Error E07 indicates problems with the door lock system or engine malfunctions. Less commonly, the code is displayed due to a technical failure in the module. In any case, it is first recommended to check the "seriousness" of the malfunction: unplug the power cord from the outlet for 10-15 minutes and thereby reset the system settings. The machine will likely reboot and resume operation. If the code reappears, repairs and diagnostics will be necessary—we'll need to test the machine's weak points.

As practice shows, certain faults lead to the appearance of “E07”.

  1. Door lock malfunction. In addition to the error message, another symptom appears on the display: the hatch door won't open. The broken door lock will likely need to be replaced.the tachogenerator failed
  2. Damaged wiring. This will be indicated by a blocked hatch or a stationary drum. The control board loses connection with the lock or motor, the signal is interrupted and doesn't reach its destination, causing the machine to remain silent and display an "E07" error. This can be repaired by restoring the circuit's integrity, cleaning, and re-soldering the contacts.
  3. Problems with the tachogenerator. In this case, the drum doesn't spin at all or immediately accelerates to maximum speed after the cycle starts. This is caused by a faulty Hall sensor, which has stopped monitoring the motor speed or lost communication with the control module. The device needs to be tested and, if necessary, replaced.
  4. Worn bearing assembly. Here, an error is always signaled by a loud noise, increased vibration and a sudden stop of the drum. Over time, bearings and seals gradually deteriorate, lubricant is washed out, the shaft jams, and play develops, with all the attendant consequences. The situation is often exacerbated by a worn-out tank crosspiece. The only solution is to replace all damaged components.
  5. A control module failure. It exhibits all the symptoms described above: from a hatch that won't open to an erratically rotating drum. The microchips on the board have likely failed, causing the system to lose communication with key components. This can only be corrected by technicians using specialized equipment to test the electronic unit, identify the burned-out components, and replace them with new ones. In severe cases, the entire panel must be replaced.

Repairing the board yourself is risky – it’s better to contact a service center immediately!

The "E07" error doesn't always indicate a serious system problem. It's best to avoid guessing and call a technician immediately, especially if your machine is still under warranty.
