Error E29 in a Bosch washing machine

Washing machine displays often display various error codes. This typically means there's a problem inside the appliance, and until it's resolved, the machine is unlikely to function normally. Error E29 on a Bosch washing machine may indicate a problem with the inlet valve. What should you do in this situation?

What to check first?

Generally, error E29 indicates that the sensor isn't detecting the unit filling with water, or that it's filling too slowly. Therefore, it's important to start by checking the parts responsible for filling with water.

Check the inlet hose for proper operation. It's possible there's a kink or kink blocking water from entering the tank. Also, make sure the hose is positioned at least 50 cm above the floor (the height of the washing machine's tank).
