How to fix error F14 on an Atlant washing machine
One of the most annoying system errors is F14. If your Atlant washing machine displays error F14, be prepared for some expense, though it might still be worth it. Don't panic ahead of time. Let's decipher this code and then see what you can do yourself and what needs professional help.
What does this code mean?
After reviewing the relevant instructions, you might quickly conclude that error F14 indicates a malfunction of the Atlant washing machine's control module, but this isn't always the case. The causes of the error can be much deeper, specifically, its occurrence may be influenced by:
- clogged trash filter;
- incorrect connection of the machine to the sewer system;
- power surge.
Before reflashing or, especially, replacing the control module, you need to check the above reasons. Let's hope that this is just a simple, short-term malfunction in the Atlant washing machine's electronics.
Preliminary actions
To try to fix the F14 error, first check to see if there was a temporary system failure. Close the door tightly, turn off the washing machine, and unplug it. Then, go get a coffee, as you'll have to wait 7 to 15 minutes. It's best to wait 15 minutes. Return, turn on the machine, and try running a program. If the F14 error reappears, try running the Atlant appliance in test mode. What should you do?
- First, we need to connect the machine to the power supply and close the hatch door tightly.
- Make sure the program selector is in the 12 o'clock position.
- Press and hold the “Start/Stop” button.
- Turn the program switch knob to the 6 o'clock position (pointer down).
- Release the “Start/Stop” button.
- Turn the program switch knob to 12 o'clock (pointer up).

If four eights appear on the display, the test mode has been successfully launched. The machine will perform a system test, and if it beeps three times at the end, you're in luck; there are no serious problems. However, if the machine displays an error code at the end of the test, things are bad; there's a problem that needs urgent attention.
To exit the machine from test mode, turn the program selector one step to the left, then return it back to 12 o'clock and turn off the machine.
Checking the drain hose
As paradoxical as it may seem, in some cases, simply checking the machine's connection to the sewer system can help resolve the F14 error. If your Atlant washer was recently installed, you should check it even more, as this could very well be the root cause of the problem.
Pay attention to the upper bend of the drain hose. It should be 1 m above the floor. The distance between the drain hose connection point and the bend of the drain pipe must be at least 80 cm. If the connection is incorrect, it may cause a "siphon effect".

Dirty water from the sewer can back up into the machine, and the self-diagnostic system may respond inadequately to this malfunction, triggering error code F14. Frankly, the Atlant washing machine is equipped with less-than-perfect electronics and software.
Cleaning the filter
Experts note that in some cases, the Atlant washing machine may display error code F14 due to a clogged drain filter. It may sound unexpected, but it's a fact. Cleaning the filter is easy.
- Disconnect the machine from the power supply.

- Tilt it back a little.
- Place a flat container under the body to drain the dirty water into.
- Open the hatch located in the lower right corner of the washing machine body.
- Unscrew the filter and drain all the water.
- Clean everything inside, rinse the filter itself, and screw it back in. Return the machine to its original position.
After cleaning the filter, try restarting the machine a few times. Then run the service test as described above. If the F14 error persists, the issue is serious.
Control module test
Apparently, you won't be able to get by without the help of an experienced technician. If the above measures don't help, you'll need to test the control module for a fault. Only a specialist can perform this procedure properly. Testing and repairing the control module yourself could cause irreparable damage, and the electronics will definitely have to be replaced. Incidentally, the cost of a new part is 50% of the cost of a new machine, so don't take unnecessary risks.
