Candy Dryer Error Codes
Modern dryers have self-diagnostic capabilities and automatically notify users of possible operating errors. If the appliance suddenly stops working, it's necessary to determine the cause. To do this, pay attention to the Candy dryer's display—it will display a special code that needs to be deciphered. We'll help you understand what malfunction each combination indicates and explain what to do about it.
Let's decipher the dryer codes
When a device displays an error code, it means there's a problem with the system. To understand the problem, you'll need to consult the equipment manual and decipher the error code. This will help you quickly understand what to look for during diagnostics.
Sometimes, a Candy dryer error is caused by a temporary electronic failure. Therefore, when you see a code on the display indicating a malfunction, don't rush to call a technician or disassemble the dryer yourself. To reset the electronic failure, follow these steps:
- turn off the power to your “home assistant” and leave it off for 10-15 minutes;
- Turn on the machine and run the program again.
If the error still persists, you are dealing with a serious problem!
Let's look at the malfunction indicated by a particular code and explain what needs to be done to fix it. Codes typically begin with different letters. Errors that begin with the letters E (e) or Err include:
- E01 (E1 / ERR 1 / ERROR 1). This code indicates that the dryer door is not locking. In most cases, the problem lies with the door locking mechanism, which requires replacement.
- E02 (E2 / ERR 2 / ERROR 2). This symbol indicates that the water tank is full. This problem can occur if the dryer is not connected to a sewer line.
- E03 (E3 / ERR 3 / ERROR 3). This code most often occurs when a blockage occurs in the drainage system and water is not flowing into the drain or a special tank.

- E04 (E4 / ERR 4 / ERROR 4). This error occurs when the water collection tank is damaged. A leak may also appear along with this code.
- E05 (E5 / ERR 5 / ERROR 5). When this code appears, it's time to test the heating element or the triac that controls it. This error is often caused by a faulty heating element. However, the problem could also lie in the electric motor.
- E06 (E6 / ERR 6 / ERROR 6). This code appears when the circuit between the control module and the display board is interrupted. This prevents the machine from starting. To eliminate the error, you need to restore the power supply circuits.
- E07 (E7 / ERR 7 / ERROR 7). If you see this on the display, check the tachogenerator. The wash program stops when the motor starts spinning too quickly. This occurs due to damage to the detector.
- E08 (E8 / ERR 8 / ERROR). This code occurs because the engine system is faulty. The cause could be worn motor brushes or a faulty tachogenerator. These types of problems can be repaired at home.
- E09 (E9 / ERR 9 / ERROR 9). If this code appears on the display, the engine has stopped rotating. The problem lies with the control unit, which is not sending the correct command. Because of this, the engine simply cannot rotate, requiring repair.
- E10 (ERR 10 / ERROR 10). This indicates that the electric motor isn't rotating. The most common cause is a broken power supply in the program selector. However, it's also a good idea to check the connecting cables to the motor.
- E11 (ERR 11 / ERROR 11) occurs when the machine stops drying items. This occurs because the built-in drying system is faulty. The causes can vary, ranging from a faulty heating element, a faulty temperature sensor, or a clogged humidity sensor.
- E12 (ERR 12 / ERROR 12 / EC) or E13 (ERR 13 / ERROR 13 / ED) indicates an incorrect drying mode configuration and is caused by a faulty thermostat on the drying element. The cause may also be hidden in the control module. Try restarting the mode.
- E14 (ERR 14 / ERROR 14). This indicates that the dryer is unable to dry the items. The most likely cause is that the laundry has become tangled. Empty the drum, straighten the laundry, and return it to dry again.

In addition to the errors listed above, there are others. They begin with the letter F (f). These codes represent the following:
- Indicates a critical error in the control module processor. Turn off the machine for 30 minutes. If the problem persists after turning it back on, call a technician.
- This is a heating system error. It occurs because the contacts on the temperature sensor have oxidized. It is recommended to clean the heating element or replace the temperature sensor.
- If you see this code, it means the dryer isn't rotating the drum correctly. This is caused by a faulty tachometer, which causes the control module to send an incorrect signal to the motor.
- The error code indicates a faulty control resistor on the control board. The error occurs unpredictably, both before and after drying. In this case, the control board must be repaired.
Why won't my Kandy dryer turn on?
Each manufacturer's equipment will have its own faults. When we talk about dryers Candy, their breakdowns include: problems with the temperature sensor, motor, heating element, and capacitor. Drive belt stretching, bearing wear, and terminal corrosion can also occur. If the dryer was working fine yesterday but refuses to turn on today, you should check:
- temperature sensor (the contacts may have come loose, or the part itself may have broken);
- motor (voltage surges can easily cause engine failure);
- fuse or "Power" button.
In case of damage, these parts must be replaced!
There are other possible causes, too. One such cause is oxidation of the terminals. This occurs due to increased humidity, causing water droplets to settle on the terminals. You can solve the problem by cleaning the contacts and wiping them with alcohol.
It's also a good idea to check the condenser. When it becomes overloaded with lint and dust from clothes, it disrupts heat transfer and makes it difficult to remove moisture from the chamber. This problem is easily solved by simply cleaning the condenser.
If your Candy dryer won't turn on, the door isn't fully closed. Typically, the door should lock mechanically. If there's still no click, push the door harder.
Sometimes the dryer won't start a cycle because the Delay Start feature is enabled. Check to see if this feature is enabled. If so, simply disable it.
Among other things, the dryer won't turn on due to a simple power outage. Make sure there's power in your apartment. If there is, check the outlet. To do this, simply plug another appliance into it.
