Bosch SMS40D12RU Dishwasher Reviews
Few can afford a full-size dishwasher, but if they do, they're sure to have enough space. Wide Bosch dishwashers are particularly popular, but despite their German brand and size, their price isn't much different from that of narrower, more compact models. As for cleaning quality and reliability, we'll explore these issues in user reviews, using the Bosch SMS40D12RU dishwasher as an example.
Machine specifications
First, let's briefly review its main features to get a feel for the machine. The SMS40D12RU is a freestanding model, meaning it already has a decorative front door and top cover, and the entire body is a classic white.
The machine has a capacity of 12 sets, which require 14 liters of water and 1.05 kWh of energy to wash in the standard program. There are only four programs and three temperature settings. Additional features include:
- 3 in 1 product recognition;
- deferment up to 24 hours;
- complete protection against water leaks;
- rinse aid and salt indicators;
- a sensor that determines the purity of water.
The noise level reaches 52 dB, which is quite noisy, comparable to a washing machine.
People's opinions about technology

I can't bring myself to give this car 5 points, it doesn't deserve more than 2. The manufacturer claims there are 4 modes, but in fact they are all the same. The Eco program doesn't rinse out the detergent well. On the normal program, the dishes are more or less washed. I'm comparing it to the old one. Whirlpool machine, which I had to leave behind when I moved, which I really regret, I would have been better off taking.

So, this is my second Bosch SMS40D12RU dishwasher; I used to have a Zanussi. That "Italian" one didn't do a good job of cleaning pots and pans. This one is a miracle! It cleans much better, especially glass. Baking sheets and pots are cleaned in one go. We have a large family, so the dishwasher is full, and it fits baking sheets too. Just make sure you choose a good detergent; the more expensive ones are better quality.

We bought this machine at MVideo for a reasonable price. It worked fine for a few washes, with the 30-minute cycle selected. Six months later, the machine can no longer handle soup bowls on the short cycle. We now run it at night for 2 hours and 35 minutes. We're not sure what's affecting the wash quality.
We recently discovered that the door isn't closing properly, but that's fixable. Overall, it's a good, inexpensive machine that's reasonably quiet. It holds a lot of dishes!

I was against a dishwasher, but I saw one at a friend's birthday party and wanted one too. A little while later, my husband gave me one. After her birthday, I started testing it out, and I was thrilled with the results. So many dishes were washed in a short time that I had time to chat with friends and do my own chores. I highly recommend it!

I didn't find anything special about this machine. The cycle selection is minimal. The build quality isn't great. The problem is, the drain pump broke after a year, and repairing it costs half the machine's price. I had an Electrolux dishwasher, which also lasted a year. I don't trust those brands anymore.

I like this dishwasher because it cleaned the grill grate clean, both on the first wash and after leaving it dirty for about a week. In short, you're guaranteed clean dishes, but not dry ones, as the machine doesn't dry well. To achieve good results, you'll have to open the door every time after washing. If you have a small kitchen, the open door will definitely be a nuisance. But it's a matter of personal preference; some people get used to it. Another nice thing is how quiet it is.

My 60cm dishwasher is about a year old. I really appreciate it and am quite happy with it. It's not as perfect as I'd like, but I'm not upset. For example, grease doesn't come off skewers or pans right away. I should note that a lot will depend on the detergent you use. I prefer tablets; I've tried a ton, but I've settled on Sun. Good luck with your choice.

I've had this dishwasher for a week now. It's the first time I've owned one. As for cleaning, it's simply excellent. Of course, dishes with old grease didn't come off right away. However, if you scrub the still-hot dishes with a sponge, taken out immediately after the machine stops, everything comes off. It also doesn't clean a pot after stewing potatoes very well, but then again, it's a sink, not a scrubber; it doesn't have any brushes. Another issue: it doesn't dry all plastic cups well, but that's a minor issue for me. I still give it a 5.

Of course, I'll start with the advantages, the most important of which is saving personal time. And only then can I mention the convenient controls. I'm incredibly happy with this purchase; I haven't even been as happy with a food processor in the kitchen as I am with the dishwasher. I take out the cleanest dishes, without chemical smells or dirt. The washing machine is also Bosch, so I trust this company.

The Bosch dishwasher holds a huge amount of dishes. It cleans almost everything at a 45-degree cycle, and if you need to wash particularly dirty dishes, there's a 70-degree cycle. Water consumption is much lower than with hand washing, so you don't have to worry about that. This manufacturer has more advanced models with all sorts of additional features, but their prices are also reasonable. This machine was attractive due to its price, positive online reviews, and I think its quality is quite good.
So, we can stop there; most of the reviews we've read are positive. People like not just this brand's appliances, but this particular dishwasher as well. We hope you find this review helpful.
