Bosch SPS40E42RU Dishwasher Reviews
If we call the Bosch SPS40E42RU dishwasher the most popular among buyers, we wouldn't be wrong. For six months now, it has held the record for the most discussions on various websites, including social media. It's time for us to take a closer look. Is this appliance truly worthy, or is all the buzz just a product of aggressive advertising? We hope consumers will shed some light on this.

A very decent model, as it washes cleanly and is easy to use. It holds about as many dishes as three people would wash in a day, assuming they stay home all day. It's quite quiet, almost too quiet. My review is positive!

We use the Bosch SPS40E42RU dishwasher for more than just dishes. It's also great for washing sports equipment, children's toys, and glassware. I even tried washing shoes in it, and it worked pretty well, even better than a washing machine. This appliance is as popular in our family as our washing machine, and just six years ago I wouldn't have even considered buying one. If anyone hasn't bought one yet, I highly recommend it!

We bought this machine about two years ago. It's a narrow model, but it fits quite a bit—not too much, but still quite a bit. A huge advantage is that it can be simply placed or built into furniture. At first, it stood separately, and then, when we finally ordered furniture for the kitchen, we built it into a pre-prepared niche.
This dishwasher combines the reliability of mechanical control and the advantages of modern electronic control.
There were no problems with the washer, and there were no breakdowns. It's German-made, and that's what it is. The only minor drawback I noticed was the limited number of programs. I'd like more. Otherwise, everything is great, I recommend it!

Some people are making negative comments about the Bosch SPS40E42RU dishwasher, and they shouldn't. People often use the appliance incorrectly and then blame it. My neighbor down the hall called me over just the other day and complained that the water in her new dishwasher was standing and freezing mid-cycle. I went into her kitchen and saw... Bosch SMV23AX00RBy the way, it's a pretty good machine, but the whole time I was there, my neighbor kept throwing mud at it.
What happened next was funny, or at least I could barely contain my laughter. I opened the dishwasher door and saw that the entire bottom was covered in food debris, which had already begun to stink. The filter, naturally, was clogged and the water wouldn't drain. I told my neighbor that dirty dishes need to be cleaned of food debris before putting them in the racks. She looked at me like a ram at a new gate and said in surprise, "Yeah, I'll have to clean them, then why would I need a dishwasher?" Anyway, we talked. These "inferior" people then scribble all sorts of nasty things online and tell their friends about the inferior appliances they've started making. They should have fixed the head first!

I don't want to say much about this machine, but I will definitely mention the positives that really stand out to me. By the way, this isn't just my opinion; my husband fully supports me; it was his idea to write about our Bosch SPS40E42RU on the website.
- It cleans glass perfectly. After washing, it's so clean it looks like rock crystal. I also put the glass balls from the chandelier in the dishwasher. After washing, they stay cleaner longer and shine much more effectively.
- When the machine first appeared in our house, I immediately washed away old “crusts” from pots, pans, cauldrons and other old metal utensils.
- I often leave the dishes to wash overnight because I get home late from work. But surprisingly, the machine is completely silent, even in the quiet of the night.
- The baskets and trays are well-made, and the quality is palpable. They won't break easily, and you can safely stuff them with dishes, but don't overdo it.
- The programs aren't very long, so you can set them and forget about them. I usually get out the dry, clean dishes in the morning and put them away in the cupboards, then head off to work.
- Reasonable price, especially considering the excellent European assembly.
If I were designing this machine, I'd make the body stronger. At the very least, it needs an extra reinforcement rib to keep the metal side panels from wobbling. It seems like a small detail, but it ruins the overall impression of a machine assembled in Germany. Five stars!

It's just a good dishwasher, no frills, and very reliable. It's been washing my dishes for three years. No complaints, everything's great.
Ivan, Vladivostok
The perfect machine for those who value comfort and need reliable equipment. You won't have any problems with it, but if you get a Candy, you'll have plenty of problems. I know from experience!

Not the most convenient machine, and not the most spacious either. It looks like I'll have to change all my dishes because it's impossible to wash my oversized "frying pans" in it. I'm not a big fan of skinny jeans, and this one was a total disappointment. I don't recommend it!

This is the third time the technicians have repaired this machine. Maybe I was just unlucky, or maybe I wasn't using it correctly. I read the instructions carefully, but it still breaks down reliably every two months. I'm incredibly angry. All the technicians are amazed at how my German-made machine keeps breaking down, and they imply I'm unlucky, but I'm practically crying with anger!
During this time, they replaced the sprinkler, heating element, and inlet valve - the repairs cost a fortune!

After washing, a nasty, slippery residue remains on the dishes for some reason. It's easily removed with a sponge under warm running water. This residue has a faint chemical smell. At first, I thought the dishwasher detergent wasn't right. But apparently that's not the issue, as I'm on my fifth or sixth dishwasher detergent. No matter who I ask, no one has encountered this problem. Looks like I'll have to sell my Bosch SPS40E42RU.
