Hansa ZIM 415H Dishwasher Reviews

Hansa ZIM 415H reviewsThe home appliance market offers a wide selection of budget dishwashers. For example, the Hansa ZIM 415H dishwasher costs around $260. While it certainly seems like a decent machine, it's worth taking a closer look at its specifications and reading user reviews.

Characteristics

The 45 cm Hansa dishwasher, assembled in China, has minimal features. It holds nine place settings of standard dishes, thanks to two pull-out trays for plates and other utensils, as well as a basket for spoons and forks. Key features include:

  • power consumption is 0.75 kW per wash cycle;
  • water consumption - 9 liters of water;
  • average duration of the program is 175 minutes;
  • noise level of only 47 dB;
  • 4 different temperature settings;
  • 5 programs, including a program for delicate dishes and crystal;
  • delayed start up to 9 hours;
  • complete protection against leaks.

Don't expect much more from this dishwasher. It lacks an attractive display and child-safety features like a door lock. Furthermore, the drying process is condensation drying, which occurs naturally without exposing the dishes to hot air. The machine also lacks the following features:

  • automatic water hardness detection;
  • 3 in 1 pill compartment;
  • sound signal at the end of washing and a “beam” on the floor;
  • intensive wash;
  • salt indicator;
  • The baskets are not height adjustable.

Please note! The dimensions of the built-in dishwasher (WxDxH) are 45x58x82 cm.

The Hansa built-in dishwasher has good sound insulation, making it very quiet. It has a narrow frame, yet it holds quite a lot of dishes. For a family with parents and two children, this capacity is quite sufficient. I haven't encountered any problems in a year of use. The machine is good and very efficient. It uses only 8.5 liters of water per wash cycle, which is almost a record.

I've read on forums that this machine dries poorly, and that dishes develop a musty smell if left unused for too long. I haven't noticed anything of the sort. This particular machine doesn't have a turbo dryer, but the condensation drying feature works perfectly, and the dishes are always dry. You won't miss the end of the washing program, because the machine notifies you with a piercing sound signal. I wash lightly soiled dishes at 45 degrees, and heavily soiled dishes at 65 degrees. I'm happy with the results!

I couldn't get the machine to start for the first time. After half an hour of struggling and reading the "wrong" instructions, I figured out that I needed to add not only salt and detergent but also rinse aid. Once I added everything, the machine started and didn't require rinse aid after that. It cleans well, and there were no issues other than the first start. Excellent machine, I recommend it to everyone!

Tired of washing dishes by hand, my husband and I decided to embrace progress by buying a Hansa dishwasher. We chose this particular model thanks to a friend who specializes in dishwasher and washing machine repair, and we bought it online. It's built-in, so it's out of sight and doesn't spoil the decor. It cleans well, but there's no half-load feature, so we have to let the dishes drip.

The cutlery basket is poorly designed; spoons and forks don't rinse well in it, so I place them between plates and cups for better results. The dishwasher cleans perfectly if you stack the dishes loosely rather than filling the basket to the brim. One drawback: it doesn't clean mugs and cups well from tea and coffee stains, even with expensive ones. Frau Schmidt dishwasher tabletsSo I clean my mugs the old-fashioned way, by hand. But the glass comes out just fine. Overall, the machine is great, and I'm glad I have it!
