This is our family's first washing machine. My wife and I bought it two years ago, right after our wedding. Lately, Bosch washing machines have been getting a lot of flak, especially on online forums run by Bosch competitors. It's unfair. I decided to defend this machine because I know it well and love it. In my opinion, the Bosch WLG 20261 OE has no significant flaws, and its advantages are sky-high.

1. Washes incredibly well.
2. Narrow body with a maximum depth of 40 cm.
3. The removable top cover, combined with the narrow body, allows the machine to be placed under a countertop.
4. Intelligent digital controls. Don't let this scare you, because operating the washing machine is very simple and can be learned in just a few minutes.
5. The machine is quite roomy; it has a drum for 5 kg of laundry.
6. It uses very little electricity. I calculated that it's twice as efficient as a regular one.

This model can spin at 1000 rpm, and items are almost dry after such a centrifuge.

Now I'll talk about the minor drawbacks this machine does have. I think every washing machine has something similar, and I'm talking about the wash programs. Some modes are downright useless; it's unclear why the engineers included them, or was it just for the heck of it? In defense of the Bosch WLG 20261 OE, I can say that it has a minimum of such programs; at least, this won't hinder the successful use of this wonderful machine. That's all for now. Bosch WLG 20261 OE has been doing laundry in my house reliably for a year and three months now. The drum load is too small, I can’t wash jackets and blankets. I nicknamed it "the tractor machine" without thinking. It's terribly noisy. I inherited a Bosch WLG 20261 OE and other belongings from a relative. I used it for the first time at her house. The machine was making such a terrifying noise that I even considered selling it to be on the safe side. Once the technicians installed it in my apartment on a hard tile floor and leveled the frame properly, it became completely quiet. It turns out it all depends on the installation. I used to have one. Indesit WIUN 105 washing machine, it was much louder and washed worse. Now I respect Bosch!

The machine is very good; it washes flawlessly and spins beautifully. I appreciate the pleasant signal at the end of the program, although I don't think it should have been programmed to repeat it multiple times. I didn't like the fact that during the wash cycle, foam from the detergent gets on the inside of the door and stays there until the end. Even during the rinse cycle, the foam doesn't come out. A couple of times, at the very end of the spin cycle, the laundry would get caught in this foam, forcing me to repeat the rinse and spin cycle.

Unwashed socks and other small items often end up on the hatch door. Why the manufacturer installed the glass in this shape is unclear.

For a renowned washing machine manufacturer like Bosch, this is quite a significant criticism. Overall, I like the machine, especially the price, so I won't complain; I recommend it to everyone.

Bosch still makes the best equipment, despite the fact that many machines sold in Russia are actually manufactured in Russia. I bought this model two years ago. I have nothing bad to say about it; it works as intended. It's a shame, though, that for this price they could have at least installed a 6 kg drum, but that's just a minor detail. I like that the machine saves noticeably on detergent, while still washing clothes well.
