Bosch WLG 24060 OE Washing Machine Reviews

Bosch WLG 24060 OE reviewsThe Bosch WLG 24060 OE washing machine is already the stuff of legends, with sellers ascribed all sorts of amazing properties to the legendary brand's latest creation, all praised. The question naturally arises: who will tell the whole truth about this machine? You certainly won't get the truth from sellers, and the manufacturer won't reveal much either. The only people left to answer are the owners, and we hope they won't lie and will honestly explain whether this machine is worth buying.

Positive

Alena, Moscow

When I bought this machine, I was very wary of its Russian assembly. I'd read that there were a lot of complaints about Bosch washing machines made in Russia. But my fears were unfounded – this machine is of the highest quality. Perhaps, of course, the Bosch, assembled in Germany, is even better in quality, but I have no complaints about this one either. It washes well, is quiet, doesn't vibrate, and hasn't had any breakdowns or malfunctions in a year and a half.

My godfather came to visit recently; he's our washing machine repairman. He inspected the "home helper" meticulously and was pleased, so I'm doubly relieved; I got a good machine. And I paid very little for it.

My neighbor and I bought identical Bosch washing machines just a couple of days apart. In fact, she spotted my model and immediately bought the exact same one. Now we're learning how to use it together. I was almost immediately convinced that if I follow the instructions, the machine washes, rinses, and spins perfectly. Apparently, even German technology respects pedantry.

You should also pay close attention to the drum load. It has been noted that the machine washes perfectly with a maximum load of 4 kg.

I especially want to warn new washing machine owners that you need to use the correct amount of detergent. Adding too little will result in poor cleaning results, while adding too much will leave some detergent in the compartment. The bottom line is: if you read and follow the instructions before washing, you won't have any problems with your washing machine.

I was very picky about my new Bosch washing machine. First, I pestered the salesperson with my questions, found out everything I could about the machine, and only then did I buy it. I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the build and materials. Open the door, and all the rubber seals fit perfectly, there's no rubber or plastic smell, not a single missing crack, and I won't even mention the metal burrs on the inside of the drum. I don't think I've ever encountered such high-quality appliances, and it's a budget model.

I really liked the high-speed spin feature. I tried it right away, of course, and was pleased to note that after a spin at 1200 rpm, the laundry was almost dry. It's also nice that you can delay the start of the wash cycle by 24 hours, with the exact delay time manually set by the user. The "extra rinse" feature is a real help; I think it's essential if you have allergy sufferers or small children in your household. I didn't find any obvious flaws with the machine, so I give it top marks!

Almost all the appliances in my apartment are Bosch, even the kettle and multicooker. Until recently, I also had a Bosch washing machine, but after 16 years, it finally broke. So, naturally, I didn't think much of it when the store clerk offered me this model.

I've long been of the opinion that if you buy a Bosch appliance, you can't go wrong. Apparently, I'm a fan, so I can't really judge the machine impartially. But seriously, I'm impressed with this machine; it has everything that was missing from my old one.

  1. It is possible to delay the launch.
  2. The machine is protected from leaks.
  3. There is a diverse package of programs, as many as 15 pieces.
  4. There is electronic control.
  5. There is an additional rinse.

Personally, the drum load is also important to me. Sure, I could have gotten a model with an 8 kg capacity, but for me, a single woman, 5 kg is enough, especially since my old machine had a 4 kg capacity. Well, that's all I have to say: I highly recommend this washing machine; it's affordable and high-quality.

Natalia, Krasnoyarsk

I didn't really bother buying a washing machine. I'd heard Bosch machines were great, saw an affordable model, and bought it. Some people read customer reviews, compare prices, and ask experts for their opinions before buying, but they still end up getting it. I don't have time to whine; I have three kids and I need to do laundry, so I bought the machine quickly. I've been using it for nine months now—it's perfect.

An extra rinse is a lifesaver. I combine it with a quick wash to improve the washing results without wasting time. You could use a long program, but then the wash might drag on for a whole day, and I'm pressed for time, as I still have some chores to do, and then there's the garden. The Bosch is a good machine and looks beautiful; if it had a bigger load, it would be fantastic!

Valentina, Barnaul

I can't stop listing the advantages of this machine. Firstly, it's very beautiful. Secondly, it's quiet; even during the spin cycle, there's very little noise or vibration. Thirdly, it washes top-quality laundry, not just small items, but also bedding and even outerwear.

I recently tried the "Jeans" program, washing my own pants and my children's pants, and was very pleased with the result.

Fourth, it's easy to operate. I learned it in a flash, literally in a few minutes. However, the car still holds a ton of surprises, so I'm still learning how to use it. I recently figured out what a Fuzzy Logic functionNow I'll be showing off my smarts to my friends. Seriously, it's a great car, and I'll recommend it to all my friends and family without a second thought. The best part is, it's cheap.

Negative

Well, this machine is incredibly noisy, like a jet. It wouldn't be so loud if it just hummed, but it also makes a really annoying metal-on-metal clacking sound. The noise was particularly loud at first, but it's gradually dying down. My husband jokes that if it lasts another month, it'll be fantastic.

There's another problem: the machine doesn't pick up any detergent from the dispenser at all. I've checked it several times, and the detergent remains practically untouched in the drawer, and the wash cycle proceeds without detergent. In my opinion, this is completely unacceptable; a washing machine shouldn't behave like this. So much for the vaunted German quality. Two stars, maximum, for this quality.

Rustam, Derbent

The machine is from the last century, very shabby in appearance. The selection of programs also hints at outdated technology, and even the vaunted Fuzzy Logic doesn't save the situation; it's like a toilet in a teepee—interesting, but not clear why. I bought this machine for two reasons: first, greed—I skimped on a more decent model; second, stupidity—I fell for a well-known German brand without bothering to learn more about this washing machine. Don't make the same mistakes I did!

When you turn on the rinse/spin cycle separately, the machine often freezes.

Gennady, St. Petersburg

If I were to briefly describe this Bosch washing machine, I'd say it's a bachelor's model. Well, maybe it's suitable for a small family of three. Where do you come to that conclusion? First of all, the drum load capacity is only five kilograms. By today's standards, even budget models have a larger capacity. This means that for a large wash in a family of 4-5 people, the machine will have to be run several times, and this, as the Germans say, is “not good.”

Let's move on. The washing quality leaves much to be desired, as I've learned from personal experience. Even light soiling is difficult to handle, not to mention the machine oil stains on my overalls. My impression of this washing machine was completely marred by the recent failure of the program selector. Now I'm left without a machine at all, waiting for a repairman. My advice: think a thousand times before making a major purchase!
