Bosch produces quite a few washing machines that are very similar in technical specifications. The purpose of this isn't entirely clear to us, but customers have been quite active with the Bosch WLG20165OE washing machine, which is enough to pique our interest and prompt us to publish a few reviews.

I used a Zanussi Aquacycle 900 washing machine for many years. I loved it, but it reached the end of its life. The controller failed and I couldn't find it, so I scrapped it. I bought a Bosch WLG20165OE instead, and I've been using it for eight months now. My impressions are as follows.

• The price is low, so even with my small salary the machine was affordable.
• The body is very heavy and it seems that the load is distributed correctly, because the washing machine hardly shakes during the spin cycle.
• Zanussi often had an imbalance and the wash would freeze, but Bosch never had this happen in 8 months.
• The glass door is recessed too far inside, which often causes small items like socks and panties to get caught in the rubber seal. Now I try not to just throw small items in the drum; I put them in the shoe washing bag, and only then I put it into the drum.

One time, a capsule of laundry detergent got stuck on the elastic, forcing me to rewash all my laundry. Now, when we do laundry, my wife and I try to push the capsule deeper into the laundry.

• The drum holds significantly more laundry, although the difference with the old Zanussi is only 1 kg.
• Bosch WLG20165OE makes less noise during washing.

I really like the washing machine. I try to ignore the minor technical issues, and they don't bother me – I've gotten used to it. I didn't pay much, so I'm happy with the purchase. I'll keep using it and recommend it to you!

We've had the machine for two days now, and we're very impressed. It washes gently and efficiently, leaving clothes almost wrinkle-free. Ironing is a pleasure if you don't overdry it. The detergent drawer is easy to remove for cleaning, although I haven't washed it yet; I just tried removing it. It's immediately obvious this washing machine is made for Europeans, even though it's assembled in Russia—hence the paradox.

I was very surprised by this very economical machine. I couldn't find any flaws, and believe me, I searched diligently. There are, of course, some minor issues that don't affect its functionality, but overall, it's a wonderful machine. Five stars!

I read a lot of people's opinions before buying it. They're all just talking nonsense, no need to waste time on it; it's a great machine. A quick glance at it is enough to understand. And for those still in doubt, here's a free tip: go to the river in -30°C weather with a washtub, a washboard, and a mountain of dirty laundry, work hard, and all your doubts will disappear.

I've never used a Bosch before, so this is my first experience. I can't say I'm particularly pleased with the machine. Firstly, the washing programs are a bit clunky, and there's not much to choose from. If I wash at 60 degrees for two hours, most of my clothes will end up in the trash. There are, of course, short programs, but they are of little use. Secondly, I'm annoyed that I can't customize the washing program's timing. I'm not happy!

I've never encountered a worse washing machine. During the very first wash, water started pouring out from under the closed door. I'll never buy a Bosch product again.

I still can't figure out how I didn't notice the torn door seal when I bought the machine. I'll have to be more careful in the future.

I bought a washing machine of this brand six months ago. The motor burned out. I'm very disappointed. This machine may be budget-friendly, but such an obvious defect is unacceptable. I'll give it one star!

Poor build quality; it broke after two months. I think it's all due to the Russian assembly. Bosch used to be German, but they couldn't afford this; they'd last for 20 years. Now Bosch has changed a lot, producing third-rate equipment.
