Candy GC4 1051D-07 Washing Machine Reviews

Candy GC4 1051D-07 reviewsIn recent years, real incomes in the CIS countries have declined significantly. Consequently, sales of expensive washing machine models have also fallen. Now, potential buyers are increasingly turning to budget-friendly models, such as the Candy GC4 1051D-07 washing machine. Let's learn more about it from owner reviews.

Positive opinions

Larisa, Moscow

In terms of operation, the machine is quite reliable, despite its price. There are some minor flaws and imperfections during assembly; for example, with my machine, the door can't be opened when the powder drawer is open (it catches). On the other hand, so be it, as long as it washes, and this machine does an excellent job at that. The washing machine has a nice appearance, the drum is roomy—what else could you want?

Igor, Slavgorod

I thought the machine would be a failure, since I bought it with the money left over from the repairs. But for three years now, this "home helper" has been working perfectly. It has everything you need, washes well, the rinse and spin cycles are beyond praise, and the controls are simple. I think even my grandmother could easily master it.

It turns out that even among cheap equipment there are some cool examples.

Faina, St. Petersburg

This is how it turns out, it’s an interesting, ordinary washing machine of the Bosch brand, well, like Bosch WLG 2416 MOE, costs about $370. But the most basic washing machine from Candy costs about $210. That said, the Bosch and Candy have identical specifications (if you consider the models mentioned). My friend and I bought washing machines at the same time; she got the Bosch, and I got the Candy. I figured I wouldn't overpay by $160, but whatever happens, happens.

It's been eight months and my washing machine is working great. The engine of a Bosch washing machine, which a friend had been using mercilessly, broke. It could have been a coincidence or a manufacturing defect, of course, but it's still telling.

The machine is used in a private home; it's located on the ground floor, where the boiler room and laundry room are. The only drawback is the loud noise during operation, but for the aforementioned reason, it doesn't bother me. With good detergent, the wash quality is simply divine, and the spin and rinse cycles are also flawless. The end-of-program sound could be louder, but otherwise, everything is fine. I think it's a great advantage that such an inexpensive machine works so well.

Oleg, Grozny

I'm very happy with my purchase. The machine has no flaws, it does its job well, and the price is simply ridiculous. The washing machine is a bit sloppily assembled, which is immediately noticeable, but so far it's been running without any issues for six months. If it continues to perform like this for at least a year and a half, it will pay for itself, and I'll be ready to buy a new one.

Adalina, Moscow

Candy was very picky about her new washing machine. You'll agree, it's way too cheap; something's not quite right. Being a true pedant, I kept a special notebook in which I jotted down various notes about the washing machine. Over the course of a year, I've accumulated a wealth of information that allowed me to highlight its pros and cons. I'll start with the pros.

  1. The machine is quite reliable. Of course, it probably won't last 10 years, but it's got enough durability for 3-5 years, maybe more.
  2. It washes both small and large items perfectly. Some machines get stuck when spinning large items, but the Candy doesn't have this problem.
  3. The car is simply “outrageously” cheap, it’s even strange.
  4. The machine has 16 programs for all occasions.
  5. The washing machine has some very nice features that significantly improve the quality of your washing while also making it easier. These include automatic laundry weighing, a quick wash cycle, an extra rinse cycle, and a delayed start.

Now about the downsides, they are also present, how could it be otherwise.

  • Firstly, the washing machine is poorly assembled: cracks, protrusions, sagging plastic, and plastic burrs inside the detergent drawer. These are just a few examples.
  • Secondly, the quality of the plastic leaves much to be desired. When washing in hot water, the machine begins to smell noticeably of phenols.
  • Thirdly, the washing machine makes a lot of noise while it’s running; in my opinion, it’s record-breakingly noisy.
  • Fourth, there are some minor issues with the spin cycle, or rather, with its quality. In some cases, the laundry remains very damp, almost dripping wet. These are my conclusions!

I'll be honest, I didn't like this washing machine right away. I wanted to turn around and walk out because I didn't have the money for a more expensive machine at the time. The salesperson turned out to be a true expert; he convinced me to stay and make the purchase. And you know, everything was honest; the machine really does its job perfectly.

I have to do laundry often, at least five times a week, so my washing machine has been through thick and thin. It's been a year of use, and I haven't had a single problem. I'm very happy!

Negative opinions

Yuri, Belgorod

I wouldn't have bought this machine, but I wish I'd known it was so flawed. When we first started washing clothes, we discovered that the machine wouldn't heat water above 75 degrees Celsius, meaning the boiling cycles we'd occasionally used before were unavailable. You can't choose the temperature yourself; you have to select from the options offered by the machine. The powder receptacle has to be pulled out with a jerk because it gets stuck somewhere. So you pull it awkwardly and tear off something unnecessary.

A problem that appeared a month ago completely blew my wife away. She took a new set of bed linen out of the drum after washing it for the first time, and it was covered in rust stains. She was so upset, and I was upset too. I don't know how the rust got into the drum; I need to call a repairman. I bought a cheap machine, damn it, and saved the family money. It's so frustrating! I'll at least write negative reviews to get back at the manufacturer.

We bought a refrigerator, a kitchen TV, a dishwasher, a microwave, an electric stove, and a kettle at a large appliance store. Basically, we upgraded almost all the appliances in the kitchen. The salespeople were running around chasing us, and their senior manager made us a personal offer for buying all that equipment – a Candy washing machine at 50% off. My husband loved the offer and, without listening to anyone, paid the extra $80 and took the machine.

Well, what can I say? I wish he'd lost those $80 at the casino; it would have been less of a hassle. The washing machine is terribly crap, although it didn't seem that way when they sold it to us. I couldn't get the detergent drawer out right away. I tugged and tugged, but it was no use. Then it turned out there was a large plastic burr blocking the drawer, so I had to cut it off with a knife. The washing machine also washes poorly, so my verdict was immediate: the machine is going to the dacha!

When the powder receptacle and the hatch door are opened simultaneously, they touch each other.

Oksana, Khabarovsk

It's not a good washing machine. It washes poorly, spins even worse, and rattles incredibly loudly. I have to turn up the TV volume to drown it out. In short, whoever made this machine and uses it might have a conscience!
