Take, for example, the affordable Candy GC4 1072D-07 washing machine, which is currently the most popular choice. How high is its quality, and is it worth choosing, or should you consider other models? Consumers will answer these questions for us.

Men's opinions

Vadim, Khanty-Mansiysk

I picked up the washing machine from the store myself, so I immediately noticed that its frame was slightly lighter than other models. I suspected it would bounce around, and sure enough, I was right. The washing machine is very bouncy and quite noisy. I almost immediately deprived it of its jumping ability by modifying the legs and screwing them to the floor, which made it noisier during operation. At least it stopped jumping.

This machine's counterweights aren't distributed evenly inside the body, resulting in poor balance. This causes the machine to rock from side to side, and if you turn the spin cycle up to maximum, it even bounces.

So I bought a cheap car. From my sister. Electrolux EWS 1277 FDW washing machineI didn't ask her if she was happy with the machine, but I did drop by one day just as it was starting its spin cycle. I was very surprised at how quiet a washing machine could be. Compared to the Electrolux, mine is like a jet engine. My washing machine has its advantages, too, and that's actually why I bought it.

  1. Large and capacious drum with a real load of 7 kg of dry laundry.
  2. 15 different washing programs, including two good programs: quick wash and super quick wash.
  3. Various bells and whistles such as automatic laundry weighing, delayed start, and more.
  4. And of course, the low price. I got the machine for $235 with the discount.

I don't want to dwell on the downsides, but I can't help but mention them. First, there's the same noise and vibration that shakes the walls. Second, the chassis is unstable. The machine could easily fall on its side during the spin cycle. Third, the spin cycle is unsatisfactory (even at 1000 rpm) and the wash quality is mediocre. And fourth, the machine itself is poorly built, with poor assembly and subpar components. Before buying a washing machine, think carefully and read reviews.

I'm very happy with the washing machine. I got it for next to nothing, and it washes as well as a $1,000 machine. It holds a lot of laundry, and it fits perfectly; I don't need anything else. Five stars.

Alexander, Rostov-on-Don

I don't know why this machine is so cheap, because it's really great. It has a large drum, yet it's relatively compact. The only downside is that you can't select the temperature, but otherwise, everything is great.

Sergey, Omsk

I don't really understand why the washing machine is giving me electric shocks. I didn't notice any of this right after I bought it. Maybe there's a problem with the wiring. We've been using the washing machine for two years now, and there haven't been any breakdowns or complaints. I've cleaned it a couple of times with a special dirt and mold remover. Afterward, the drum smelled pleasantly of lemon. My wife uses the machine more often and is happy with everything, and I'm happy too.

Women's opinions

Irina, Serpukhov

It's a great machine for the price, nothing more, nothing less. I've had it for four months now, and during that time it's jumped a foot or two to the side a couple of times. It washes decently, but the last time it did, it tore the duvet cover. Cheap detergents don't work with this machine; it simply doesn't dissolve them, so I have to use expensive ones. The rinse cycle is decent, but the spin cycle is terrible; I have to re-spin almost every time. I'll keep an eye on it, and maybe I'll notice something else.

The long programs are also annoying. The machine doesn't have optimal programs; it only has short or long ones.

Tatyana, Ivanovo

I used this washing machine for exactly two weeks, then returned it to the seller and was terrified. It's the most unreliable appliance I've ever encountered. On the third day after the second wash, the handle on the machine's hatch cover broke off. A service technician arrived quickly and replaced the hatch cover, but the problems didn't end there.

A week later, the machine went completely silent. No matter what buttons I pressed, it refused to turn on. The mechanic said the control module would have to be replaced, and after a few arguments, I returned the machine. Don't be fooled by cheap prices; buy a real machine.

I never thought you could buy a good automatic washing machine so cheaply. It's a real gem. My old Indesit would freeze up when I tried to wash my jacket in it, but the Candy washes without a hitch. I've also gotten used to washing rugs, blankets, pillows, and throws in it—basically, everything I used to dry-clean, spending a pretty penny. Now I have a dry-cleaner at home, and I've started buying candy for my grandchildren more often. I'm so glad I bought this machine!

This is my second Candy washing machine purchase. My first one lasted seven years at home and is still going strong at the dacha. The new one is even better because it has a larger drum capacity, a whopping 7 kg, which is a lifesaver sometimes. Last time, I had to wash a huge blanket, and the machine did a fantastic job. I love Candy machines—they're affordable and easy to use!

Olesya, Novosibirsk

I never realized how great it is to have such a large, wide-opening loading door in a washing machine. Judge for yourself: it's easy to load large items, and it's easy to wipe the inside clean. I also once had to remove a bra underwire from the drum, and if it weren't for the wide opening, I doubt I would have succeeded. The developers messed up the washing machine's programs a bit with the time remaining until the end of the wash cycle, but it doesn't bother me because you get used to it quickly. For a cheap machine, everything is great!

This is simply the perfect washing machine. If anyone doesn't like it, they should go to Germany and buy one there. It's a wonderful machine, it costs next to nothing, yet it has a large drum that holds 7 kg of laundry, a high-speed spin cycle, a wide door, and most importantly, it runs reliably and doesn't malfunction. And by the way, it looks great, too!
