Indesit ITW A 5851 W (RF) Washing Machine Reviews

Indesit ITW A 5851 W (RF) reviewsWashing machine manufacturers produce a large number of front-loading washing machines, as they are more popular in the CIS market, but this is slowly changing. Some consumers have already realized that front-loading machines have their drawbacks, so they are abandoning them in favor of top-loading machines. Top-loading machines are generally more expensive, but the Indesit ITW A 5851 W RF washing machine is quite affordable, making it worth considering.

Positive opinions

It's quite difficult to find a suitable washing machine for a small, cramped apartment. My primary goal was to save as much space as possible, so I first paid attention to compact front-loading washing machinesIt turned out I shouldn't have done this, as compact appliances of this type don't save much space. The reason is simple: just like any front-loading washing machine, it requires space in front of the machine to open the door. Ultimately, you save a few centimeters, which doesn't make a difference.

After much deliberation, I decided to look into top-loading washing machines. They have a narrower frame and a top-loading door, allowing you to place the machine in a corner where a front-loading machine wouldn't fit. While browsing the selection of washing machines, I came across the Indesit ITW A 5851 W. The washing machine itself is simple, nothing special, but it only cost $320, was the perfect size, and was within my budget. I didn't hesitate; I bought it almost immediately. I've been using it for two years now, and I'm happy with everything!

The machine washes and spins well, and has partial leak protection.

I bought this washing machine purely because of its size and price, but I ended up miscalculating. I was hoping it would fit flush against the walls in a corner, even removing the baseboard. But during installation, I discovered the hose connections prevented me from pushing the unit flush against the wall. I had to leave a 3 cm gap and re-design the kitchen cabinets.

Of course, it was entirely my fault for not checking how the hoses were attached, but the engineers who created this machine could have thought of this more carefully, especially since it's not that difficult. Overall, I liked the washing machine.

  • You can load 5 kg of laundry.
  • Dimensions: 40 x 60 x 85 cm.
  • Spin at speed up to 800 rpm. I always turn it on maximum, it spins better that way.
  • Availability of pre-wash.
  • A huge range of suitable programs.

I was absolutely looking for a top-loading washing machine. Any other machine simply wouldn't have worked for me. My budget was tight, so I bought the cheapest Indesit top-loader at the store, trusting the positive reviews. The washing machine has a user-friendly interface and isn't particularly noisy. It has a 15-minute quick wash, and most importantly, it's been working for almost two years without breaking down once and fits snugly between the sink and the wall. Be careful, it doesn't have a drum parking feature. The load capacity is also small—5 kg—but it's enough for me. It's a decent workhorse!

I bought this washing machine three months ago. So far, I'm delighted with it. It's easy to use, takes up little space, and works well. You don't have to bend your back to load the laundry. I'm not a big fan of having to open the lid first, then the drum separately to load the clothes, but I quickly got used to it. The load capacity is small, but sufficient. The price is reasonable. It's not a great machine, but it's a good, solid one.

Negative opinions

Arthur, Serpukhov

This washing machine has only one advantage: its size. Otherwise, it's a poor machine.

  • Firstly, the hatch cover is very weak; I accidentally pressed on it with my hand and the plastic already cracked.
  • Secondly, when spinning, the machine jumps, and it does it quite strongly, and again, it makes noise.

The washing machine spins well, but the quality of the wash could be better.

  • Thirdly, the machine has a capricious tray, the powder is washed out poorly, and pouring conditioner is completely useless, since it is washed out immediately along with the powder.
  • Fourthly, there is no automatic drum parking, which is something a modern top-loading machine should have.

Conclusion: I didn’t like the washing machine.

You can't wash anything large in this machine. It wouldn't even spin a relatively small children's jacket. You can, of course, do without the spin cycle, but it's very difficult to remove wet items. There's no option to wash items at 30 degrees, which is a shame, since I often use that temperature. If you need to wash with bleach, it's a real hassle; you have to suffer for a long time, since there is no separate compartment for it in the powder dispenser. Of course, you can get used to all of the above, but why bother? I'll look for another washing machine and sell this one!

Tatyana, Novosibirsk

The machine is of very, very low quality. I only washed in it for three weeks, and the motor burned out. The motor broke during the warranty repair, so I rushed to return it to the seller to let him sort it out himself. I learned two lessons from this. First, you should buy appliances from large stores, and second, you shouldn't skimp, because "a miser pays twice."
