LG F12B8WD8 Washing Machine Reviews

LG F12B8WD8 reviewsYou're interested in the silver LG washing machine and want to learn more about it. We're happy to share the information, briefly review its features, and analyze user reviews to understand how well it works and whether it's prone to breakdowns. You can decide for yourself whether it's worth buying.

Machine specifications

The LG F12B8WD8 slim washing machine is a budget option, priced at under $390. Its software is optimal, sufficient for everyday laundry. This model offers a total of 13 washing programs, including:

  • stain removal program;
  • washing children's and sportswear;
  • quick wash;
  • washing down products.

The maximum amount of laundry and linen that can be loaded into the washing machine in the Cotton mode is no more than 6.5 kg. In other modes, such as “wool” or “delicates,” the manufacturer limits the load to ensure maximum washing quality.

In any case, avoid overloading the machine's drum by giving it the maximum load. This will both extend the life of the machine and improve the washing results.

The control panel features a display, and programs are selected by turning a toggle switch. The machine has basic safety features, as well as a delayed start. The maximum spin speed is 1200 rpm, with noise levels below 76 dB.

I've been testing my washing machine on different modes for three days. So far, I'm happy with it. My old one broke and went to the dacha, so I took a chance on this LG machine. Overall, it washes well, isn't noisy, and holds a lot of laundry. One minor issue is the lack of a "Bed Linen" program, but that's not a big deal. I'll try to add something later.

The best purchase I made in 2016 was the LG F12B8WD8 washing machine, which I had been searching for for a long time. This machine has an attractive appearance, a set of modern and optimal features, and a direct drive, which means it lasts longer and doesn't rattle. Mobile diagnostics allow you to report a malfunction via phone, which is really cool. I also like that the washing machine is equipped with overflow protection and a child lock. It holds a large amount of laundry and washes beautifully. It's a great value for the money.

We recently purchased this washing machine, and I'm very happy with it. It's quiet, so I mostly do my laundry at night, especially since the beeping sound turns off when it's done. I did find one drawback: you can't turn off the auto-weighing feature, which is very annoying. I have a small child whose clothes often need to be soaked before washing. Wet laundry naturally weighs much more, so if you put it in the drum and use a program that uses auto-weighing, like "Baby Clothes," the machine will wash it for half a day. To be precise, it's about 4 to 4.5 hours—that's a very long time.

My parents have had an LG washing machine for about five years, so I decided to buy one for myself. I'm happy with the purchase, as it washes quietly and efficiently. The only problem is that water remains in the cuff after washing, which seems to be a problem with many LG machines.

My LG washing machine has been working flawlessly for three years now. It has a really large load capacity and washes very well. However, after each wash, I have to work hard to completely drain the water from the drum. I do this through the emergency drain, near the filter, otherwise the water will stagnate and stink. I also have to wipe the rubber seal, which also retains water. Otherwise, it's fine; I've gotten used to it.

I really didn't like this washing machine, it didn't deserve more than 1 out of 5 stars. The drum is of poor quality, there is a seam, like in some budget cars from Beko, for example, or Indesit. It also makes a loud hum and vibrates.

My husband and I were planning on buying a built-in washing machine; we even had a spot in our new kitchen cabinets for it. But after analyzing the prices of similar appliances, we decided against it; it seemed a bit too expensive. The salesperson at the store recommended LG, as their top cover is easily removed. This model fits perfectly in the niche. Overall, it turned out to be a good value and a decent value. It washes well, and the spin cycle is also excellent. It also stays in place even when the drum is spinning at high speed, even though it's installed on laminate flooring. We highly recommend it!

A good washing machine, it cleans clothes effectively. The noise level matches the manufacturer's specifications, it's quiet, the spin cycle is smooth, and I don't notice any vibration. There are plenty of modes, but out of habit, we mostly use the same ones. We haven't found any flaws; it's been working fine for two years, and it's an excellent machine.

We bought a washing machine on sale a year ago. We considered several brands, including Bosch and Samsung, but settled on LG because of the special offer. Our old machine had lasted 15 years, so we compared everything to it. We primarily wanted a slimline model under $250. Color wasn't a concern, although silver looks unique.

The main disadvantage is that water remains in the elastic band after washing, which always needs to be wiped off.

There are also some disadvantages: small items, like socks, get stuck in the elastic, and therefore you have to wash them in a special bag. The machine is noisy when draining, and the drain hose bends. As for the pros:

  • does its job perfectly - washing;
  • I like the “Baby Clothes”, “Down Blanket”, “Delicates”, and “Wool” modes; my clothes weren’t damaged after using them;
  • at maximum spin, the laundry is almost dry, at 800 rpm it also spins well;
  • works quietly, does not vibrate, the main thing is to install it correctly;
  • Sound signals can be turned off.

This model's unique feature is that it doesn't have a separate spin function, but it's there and activated like this: press the "spin" button, select the speed, press the same button, and then press "start." For some reason, they forgot to mention this in the instructions. Overall, it's a good machine.

We needed a washing machine that could fit in the bathroom. The LG F12B8WD8 washing machine met this criterion. I respect this brand. It holds a large load, even heavier than a standard double bed sheet set. It washes beautifully, and the laundry comes out almost dry. The noise during the spin cycle, like most machines, is nothing special.
